After playing both versions of this game, I'm still not impressed. The graphics are cartoonish, especially in the zoomed in up close scenes, and the games are far too simple for my taste. This game takes place in Lhasa where a freak snowstorm hits in the mountainous region and Lady Pearson's niece Larisa, along with her entire exploration team is hopelessly lost. Being the adventurous Auntie, Lady Pearson kicks off her high heels and heads for Tibet to search for the team single handedly!
Really the only difference between this version and the Collector's edition is that there are 20 Achievements to earn and several Collectible categories, 11 Medallion's, 10 Apple's, 12 Swords, and 9 Stars, but at least in the demo, there are only one type of collectible categories at a time. This game has NO custom settings, only Regular, Advanced or Expert modes, I can't figure out why, this dev is certainly known for their custom settings.
The Hidden Object Scenes are the only feature that was interesting, but super easy. There are interactive list and silhouetted shape finds, some of the items in green will morph, (either version, surprisingly) so you have to wait until the morph is in the correct form to click on. You can opt for a game of Mahjong instead of the Hidden Object Puzzle if you choose.
Most of the Mini Games are so easy you have to wonder why they're even available. Several of the games give you a task list one at a time, finding color coded wires, gems and bug parts that are difficult to miss. Then you place those color coded findings upon their color coded areas etc. Other games are just variations of jigsaw puzzles where you swap puzzle tiles or rotate tiles to complete an image.
The Collector's Edition has 8 Wallpapers, 6 Concept Art pictures, 5 Soundtracks, replayable HOP's and Mini Games, 20 Achievements to earn, 11 Collectible Medallion's, 10 Collectible Apple's, 12 Collectible Swords, 9 Collectible Stars, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, Dawa's Revenge.
I don't recommend this game.

THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A GAME LIKE THIS BEFORE! I was fortunate enough to beta test this game a while back, playing this game just left me hungry for more. The further you get into this unique game, the more you want, more information, who is this creepy little girl who taunts your every move? More background, what happened to this child that makes her want to psychologically torture her subjects? 360, have there been that many subjects? What's up with the Motel receptionist, is he subject 000? But most of all, will I get out of this dingy maze alive?
Everything about this game is AWESOME! You will feel your heart beating, you will feel a sense of urgency, You will feel trapped and desperate! It's sick, it's demented, it's gross, it's creepy, it's nerve wracking, and I love it! This maze is booby trapped, so you're going to have to choose your moves wisely. Do you want to open the door cautiously, or push the door quickly and hope for the best? I had to test this theory, the game warns that my decisions could be life altering, so I chose the opposite of what I chose in the beta, wondering if I would lose my life and find myself back in the trapped room where I began. That would have been pretty cool, but nope, I just get told I'm not very bright by my captor. She's tracking you! Yep, she's carefully hidden tokens that open locked doors in some of the weirdest places, and these token keep track of you and your progress, whew, I'm still panicked from nearly drowning! Don't get too caught up in the whole saving your life thing and miss the 44 Hidden Collectible symbols, this is the first time I've ever forgotten to look for a collectible, honestly who needs em, I wanna live!
The Hidden Object Puzzles are a bit scarce, again who needs 'em in this psychological thriller, but none the less, you gotta do them to get your inventory items right. They are varied but mostly list finds, although I enjoyed the HOP within a painting where the little girl tells you a story and you find item she is telling you about one sentence at a time. Each HOP has a Morphing Object as well.
There are a ton of mini games, some of which have a sense of urgency because you're trying to stay alive! There are a lot of clues to find in this game in order to solve some of the games, so don't overlook anything. There are valves to turn until the needles are all in the green zone, tiles to shift around with only one empty space, figurines to swap until all the lights turn green and even tiles to rotate to close all pipe circuits.
This Collector's Edition has 15 Achievements, 44 Collectible Symbols, 19 replayable HOP's with gold, silver and bronze trophies to earn, a Jigsaw Puzzle Character Gallery, Morphing Objects, 16 Wallpapers, Soundtracks, the Making of Video, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter

What kind of storm is capable of sinking ships off the coast of St. Margaret's Island? The storm of treachery, thievery and lies! This could be the case that makes your career, or leaves you at the bottom of the sea, just like the Duke of Reddington, who suffered an untimely death after discovering some discrepancies in the Governor's records! The Navy has sent you to investigate the disappearances and heists, problem is, the famous Sea Ripper believed to be responsible for the heists, is aboard your very ship!
I beta tested this game a few months back, and I was so excited that Sea of Lies had found it's way back to the sea, where it belongs. This edition has plenty of suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat, so fasten your seatbelt! There are Plus Sign Inventory items to tinker with, plenty of Achievements to earn, and 44 Collectible, but not so hidden Globes to collect. (they are unusually large)
The Hidden Object Scenes are done well with plenty of variations in scenery and type. Most are done in stages, with interactive list finds and descriptions, but there are also Multiple finds that include an interaction to open up the list, of silhouetted shape finds. If you aren't thrilled with the HOP's, you can play an awesome Match 3 game instead.
The Mini Games are plentiful, but kind of easy in my opinion. There are tokens that must be slide to match the background, Mermaids to put in the correct position to stop a waterfall, and a game that requires you to adjust silhouettes of ships using candle reflections. My favorite game requires you to select a starting point to move the token using directional arrows so that it travels across every cell without overlapping, for a total of three games that progress in difficulty.
This Collector's Edition has 12 Achievements, 27 replayable Puzzle Mini Games, 18 replayable HOP's, 7 Movies, 8 Concept Art pictures, 8 Wallpapers, 9 Music Soundtracks, a Souvenir Room, 44 Collectible Globes, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter. So get your HO game on and enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I love solitaire, but this type of solitaire is my least favorite. The goal of this game is to remove two of the same cards regardless of suit, NOT a higher/lower solitaire game. The reason I only gave this game 3 stars was because there are so few available matches that it's almost impossible to receive a perfect score. In fact, I replayed each hand several times attempting to get a perfect score, but no matter how many times I replayed the hand, I couldn't get enough matching cards to achieve this. I gave up replaying and just hit the continue button for each hand, and at the end of the 10 game level, I didn't have enough cards to progress to the next level or deck, what fun is that? I love a challenge, but......
There are 12 different card designs, and 3 different face cards available within the settings option. You receive 1 point for removing cards, which also fills the multiplier bar for extra points. Some of the cards are bonus card which have more points or bonuses to help you win. You will automatically win the hand if you remove all of the Gold cards, even if regular cards remain on the board. You can use the money you earn in the shop to purchase Joker cards (wild cards) Shuffles and mulligans which are undos. In the event of a perfect score, the points you earned on that level will be added to the next hand.
Perhaps you'll have better luck winning at least a few levels, than I did. I just don't think it's much fun when you can't win because there's never any available matches.
I don't recommend this game.

John is a detective who discovers that his sister's house has been broken into and his sister has been missing for 6 days. He's even more surprised to learn that his sister works for an "Order" that hunts down aliens who want to invade our planet for it's resources. Because of his skills, the Order makes him a member and assigns him to the exact case his sister Alex was investigating when she and her fellow officers went missing.
You will fight enemies you come across, in a Match 3 game on a honeycomb style grid. There are Mana tokens of different colors, Energy tokens, Silver tokens and Skulls. The skulls with larger roman numerals deliver more powerful blows to the enemy. Like other battle matches, energy tokens revive your health, as you take turns playing the match 3 game with your enemy. Matches of 5 or more will give you a bonus turn. The Mana tokens recharge the weapons and amulets you earn when you win a battle, such as a pistol that harms your opponent's health, the Ring of Durability or a Bullet Proof Vest which protects you from the enemy's blows when activated. All weapons and Magic Spells can be upgraded to provide a little more protection each time.
Quest's are given that you accept, and there are caves to explore and other various locations that will net you some type of reward such as gold, silver and crystals. Items that you win can be kept in your backpack, but you have to buy storage slot's to keep them in first, or you can choose to sell them if you don't want or need them. You can visit the ZEN icon at any time to collect extra silver, mana or healing strength which is a really relaxing game where tokens fall from the top, as they reach the section near the bottom, you must click on the matching buttons of the tokens that are in that section, and of course they fall a little faster as you progress.
I will admit, there is a lot of information to figure out, and the tutorial isn't that great, so you are kind of thrown to the wolves. It is doable however, and eventually you figure out what you are supposed to do, when and why. There are Stats on each enemy, which is helpful so you know ahead of time what it takes to defeat him. There is also a Help section on the home screen that covers some of the basic features, so get your battle gear on and enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Our world isn't the only world in the universe, there is a multitude of parallel worlds. In each of these world's, we have a double, if a double dies in one world, the other will die in the parallel world! An evil mage, Ashton Thome, is trying desperately to kill Alison in this world, in order to kill Queen Alison in the parallel world. The only one who can save both Alison's, is her childhood friend, Aiden. The Queen has strategically placed an Amulet of the 7 Worlds, into Alison's diary so that Aiden can use the amulet to open portals into parallel universes.
Eventually you will acquire a goblin helper to assist you in places you alone cannot tackle. There aren't any other extra's other than a Map that can be used for quick traveling from place to place. (at least not in the demo) The graphics aren't bad, but at times the game moves a bit slow between scenes. I did like the fact that some of the tasks aren't logical and make you think about what inventory item would work for each situation.
The Hidden Object Scenes are progressive, interactive, silhouetted shape finds where you find an item that matches the silhouetted shape, and then use that item within the scene to expose the next helpful item. Again, some of the interactions aren't obvious at first.
The Mini Games are pretty simple, but not bad, and not new. The first one has you pose two fairies to match the sketched example, the next involves placing the correct clock part on clocks one at a time. Each clock opens up to expose a cache with the next clock part until all clocks have been completed. There was a mini game where you use up, down, right and left arrows to nudge colored bricks into the center in the correct color coded sequence. The final mini game in the demo is finding the correct color combination and applying that code to lights by clicking the lights one at a time until the bulb changes to the correct color. In my opinion this is just a take it or leave it game, the demo didn't convince me enough to purchase this game.

Thomas Winsley has asked his good friend Richard to investigate the collapse of a railroad mining accident in the mountains. At first glance, it seems that the company responsible for the mining incident may have been given mistaken information from the chief engineer who later admits there was seismic activity within the mountain. This information however, may have been falsified, and the investigation gets further complicated when a woman from a local tribe is attacked and nearly dies. Is this a mining accident, a force of nature, powerful and provoked gods, or just a case of greed?
I was on the fence with this game, it has an interesting story, but less than desirable cinematics, somewhat flawed features, and no voiceovers. The voiceover part I can deal with, but whenever a character is speaking, the dialog writing switches from a normal sized font, to an extremely small font, and it moves at it's own pace, you cannot speed it up or skip through it. It can become monotonous after a while because you continuously go back and forth finding one item in one scene, and then returning to the previous scene to use that item only to discover a new item for the last scene you were in. Your "helper" is a cane, and I thought it was kinda funny that you use the cane to move heavy boulders out of the way, but not to reach something hung up in the treetop. Several of the items are complex items as indicated by a plus sign, that requires some type of interaction before using.
There are no Hidden Object Scenes, but the game technically qualifies for this category because you have to find inventory objects hidden in each scene. There are a lot of Mini Games and they are entertaining, but they are pretty easy to master. The first puzzle to solve requires you to open a safe once you find the code, using one dial that moves 5 digits at a time and the other dial moves 3 digits at a time in the opposite direction. The next puzzle is a lockpick game which basically requires you to click on 5 pegs in the correct order by trial and error. The best one was probably the fuse game where you use up and down arrows to guide a grabber into position to grab two color coded fuses at a time, and you place them into the matching slots. There really aren't any extras available in this game, it's a decent game, but nothing to write home about, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

While everyone in the town of Arrowhead is busy doing their thing, Carl and Diana are tracking an amazingly fast meteor that's ripping through the atmosphere........or so they thought! This isn't a meteor, it's a spacecraft! The Roswell Incident is nothing compared to this crash, fortunately, this farmer won't have debris scattered for miles, because this spacecraft, I mean weather balloon, is completely intact! Planet Earth is in trouble, the Hunger is coming, and they are....well, they're hungry!
This game was an immediate purchase for this sci-fi geek, the graphics are incredible, and the thing I love the most is how authentic the graphics are. From the rust plagued tractors to the sleek futuristic spacecraft, the artists paid immense attention to every detail. (notice how even the inventory bar transforms to reflect the difference from one planet to the other) The characters are real people, the locations are believable, and the game flows flawlessly. This game has everything you could possibly want, Plus Sign Complex inventory items, (requiring some type of otherworldly interaction) Interstellar Achievements (Out of this world), Star Memories (intergalactic gifts) Morphing Objects (within the HOP's) and 44 hidden collectible Rocket Symbols to find (if you're not too busy saving the planet)
The Hidden Object Puzzles vary from the standard interactive list finds (again, the devs have done a great job keeping the items authentic and appropriate for each location) as well as finding matching and complex Symbols. There are even several smaller HOP's within zoomed in locations, finding items from pictures shown, or multiples of items that match the silhouetted shapes. Morphing Object Fans UNITE! My favorite feature of all time, Morphing Objects are available in the HOP's whenever you see the icon that replaces the Rocket Symbol icon, and they are very cleverly done, I will admit that it took me quite a while to find the Morph in the matching symbol HOP...and I loved it!
The Mini Games, fantastic! Right from the get go, you get to drive a motorcycle at a neck breaking pace around sharp curves in the darkness! There are normal, fairly easy puzzles, repeating the sequence of symbols, and finding nodes that connect in length between batteries on the left and right sides. My favorite Mini Game was trying to sneak by the military guards, in three different locations which increased in difficulty each time, adding more guards and more guard dogs. You have to choose the most logical path out of three different patterns, AND you have to pay attention to the timing as well.
This Collector's Edition has the Town of Arrowhead Party (Jigsaw) 15 different Achievements, Soundtracks, 44 Collectible Rocket Symbols (which will unlock the Rocket Hunt) Characters information, 12 Wallpapers, 21 Hidden Object Puzzles, Morphing Objects, replayable Mini Games, "Making Of" Videos, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, so get your sci-fi game on and enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Brenda Gale will certainly need her psychology skills as she takes us back in time to Queen Elizabeth the First's court! When the Earl of Oxford passes away unexpectedly, the Queen becomes the ward of the Earl's bright young son, Edward de Vere. The Queen asks her Maid of Honor, Willa de Shakeston, to tutor young Edward, but a revengeful spirit has other plans for Edward. In the blink of an eye, someone otherworldly whisks the boy away without a trace. It's up to Willa to seek the truth behind the revenge, and save young Edward, before it's too late, but the Queen might not want the truth to resurface from her past!
The best part of this entire game, is the delightful antics and quick wit of Francis Drake, Willa's childhood friend, now our accomplice! Francis found himself face to face with the Queen, for all the wrong reasons because of his questionable ethics. Willa persuades the Queen to allow Francis to accompany her on her quest to find Edward. The Queen is skeptical, but grants her wishes stipulating that he must do anything Willa requires. Fortunately, "Frannie" get's to do all the dirty work as your go to guy. When a task requires his skilled services, all you have to do is hand him the tools of the trade from your inventory bar, which is shown as a silhouetted shape above his handsome icon. Francis is so much better than the usual furry friend we get stuck with as a helper, and his character has quite a personality.
I favor the Collector's Edition which has Morphing Objects that up the ante on the number of hints you receive as well as a barrage of Achievements to earn. There are Collectible Words and Phrases in each scene that will form beautiful Poetry when all the phrases and words have been found for each of the four categories. Both Editions have Complex or Plus Sign Inventory items that require some type of interaction before using them such as fixing or combining that item with another inventory item, some of them have a puzzle to solve such as deciphering an encrypted letter from the Queen using a coded card on several symbols so the color coded holes match the correct symbols of red=fire, blue=air and green=earth.
The Hidden Object Scenes are plentiful, challenging and very entertaining. Some scenes use the entire room as a HOP, some of which are your typical HOP in a small zoomed in area. There are Progressive Silhouetted Shape finds where you find the first item that matches the silhouetted shape shown and then use that item within the scene logically (key into lock) to expose the next item, some are Silhouette Shape finds in Multiples such as 3 items of the same shape. There are HOP's where you find objects within a sketch that match keywords given in several phrases. I liked the HOP's requiring you to move several objects, matching logical items underneath them, such as ink and feather quill. The Mini Games aren't really new, but not bad, such as, choosing the correct Shields and Axes to match the Coat of Arms and Knights, using lion head levers to find the desired statues. There are pages in books scenes, and statues that have items in the wrong place that need placed correctly, Coded books that need placed correctly, and a few games that require you to choose three symbols or images that will match the center token when all three are combined. Nothing even remotely difficult, and in my opinion, they are all entertaining.
The Collector's Edition has 9 Wallpaper settings, 9 Concept Art pictures, 8 Music Tracks, 26 Pictures of the VG Team, Morphing Hints, Collectible Poetry Words and Phrases, Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, so get your game on and enjoy!
I recommend this game!

In the First episode of Flux Family Secrets: The Ripple Effect, we followed Jesse in her quest to find her real family. She was contacted by a mysterious woman named Veronica Flux, who explained that she might be a long lost Flux family member. When she arrives at the Flux Mansion, she is given several tasks to complete that would prove whether or not she is indeed a Flux, and she passes with flying colors! Veronica explains that her family has the ability to travel through time, and "fix" history that has already happened in our past. She asks for Jesse's help fixing the latest history mishap caused by an unexpected Ripple Effect, but finds herself trapped in the past because Veronica had betrayed her! She learned of a device that would thwart her family's betrayal and return her to the Flux Mansion, however, the device returned her 30 years in the past! Together with the help of her own self 30 years younger, she must seek the help of her grandfather, to find him means she must first find the Rabbit Hole!
This is an unusual style of Hidden Objects, you must search each room of the mansion for fragments of an object, and then replace that completed object where it belongs, somewhere in the mansion. The objects shown in the inventory tray can be found in your current location, if the object is dimmed, you will need to search in another location to find it. Once the object is placed, you will get to solve a puzzle such as lining up symbols on rings (clicking on one ring might affect other rings) There are normal HOP's with listed items, words in blue mean the object is hidden. You can use the magnifying glass to zoom into specific areas of the scene and this feature is available for all aspects of the game not just the HOP's. There are 10 hidden Flux Badges which will give you bio's on each Flux family member, and there are 10 hidden History Badges which give you bios on famous people such as President Lincoln.
The Collector's Edition has Concept Art sketches, Desktop Patterns, Screensavers, MP3 Music Tracks, High Scores, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy!
I recommend this game!
