I guess we griddler fans have just been spoiled by Fantasy Mosaics, with the bright colorful tiles, 3 different colors used on every puzzle, and most of all, each griddler puzzle creates a fantastic picture such as flowers, lions and even people! This puzzle however is just okay, with only a single color (blue) and the picture you create isn't even a picture, it's just a shape, if it is a picture of something I certainly don't see it. When the shape is complete, they don't even remove all the x's to show you what shape you've just mastered!
This Griddler or Mosaic puzzle works the usual way, left click to fill in squares, right click to cross out a square and make it with an X. There are numbers on each column and row, each group of numbers are separated by at least one empty or crossed off square. Sometimes it's easier to figure out where a filled in square cannot be rather than where it can, which will narrow down the options and make it easier to figure out. Most Griddler puzzles give you the option to cross off rows and columns automatically when filled, but I didn't find this option or any other options for that matter.
There is a tutorial available in Beginner or Expert modes, or you can skip both and go right into the adventure mode which has 6 worlds and 20 levels within each world. The goal is to earn 3 Keys per level, a key or star is deducted for each mistake that is made, but any level can be repeated to better your score if you do make a mistake. Every filled square earns you coins, and some of the filled squares contain bonuses. The coins can be used in the shop to purchase the right to make 3 mistakes, 2 starting hints, and the option to refill all of the hints on the current level. You must earn enough stars or keys to unlock the next World's levels, or you can use your coins to unlock them. There are 15 Trophies to earn as well.
There were too many things I didn't like in this game, my two biggest gripes is the fact that the pictures created are nothing more than random shapes (I could be wrong, but if they are pictures they should have labeled them) Some of the puzzles as you progress, leave you no choice but to use a hint at the start because there's no way of figuring out logically where any filled or crossed off tile should go (without guessing of course) These are logical based puzzles and they should be solvable without having to use a hint in my opinion. Do yourself a favor and try the demo first, even better, try the demo of Fantasy Mosaics for some real fun!
I don't recommend this game.

fromQuick, paint a picture of Smudge rescuing Elizabeth and Iris, problem solved!

Dying alone is the only way Albert can describe the feeling he gets when he tries to paint the creature from his recurring nightmares. This creature is a woman so horrible, so frightening, that he vows to never finish the painting! Albert has unveiled his latest masterpiece "The Road To Solitude" to his wife Elizabeth and his daughter Iris, just before it's completion. Lately, Albert has struggled to complete most of his work, and this masterpiece is darker than most, a reflection of his inner turmoil that seems to be haunting him. When the paintings come to life one stormy night and the creature from his nightmares kidnap his family, it becomes painstakingly clear that Albert must face his fears once and for all. The Road to Solitude will lead Albert through the maze of his worst nightmares that have become reality, and challenges him to finish what he started to save the family he so dearly loves.
Albert won't have to face his nightmares alone, because fortunately, not all of his masterpieces are dark. Smudge has been waiting patiently for a few finishing touches on his hero's cape and he's good to go! Smudge is a mixture between a flying coyote, a magician and superman with a sultry voice. Not only can he fly, but he can levitate entire trees and make them disappear into thin air! No artist is complete without tools of the trade, so throughout the game, you will acquire 7 paintbrushes, one at a time, dark blue, cyan, red, green, yellow, pink, and purple. These brushes are used to finish painting the masterpieces of the dream world, but, there's no talent needed here, no requirements (other than choosing the right color) and no mini game associated with these tasks, just a click and point that automatically finishes the work. There are Plus Sign indicators on some of the inventory items indicating that some type of interaction is required before that item can be used. The Collector's Edition has the addition of 30 Slides to Collect throughout the game, 5 slides for 6 different canvas images. When all 5 slides have been found in a category, it will complete a picture on canvas that you can "paint" using paint brushes with 7 available colors. The Collector's Edition also has 18 Achievements to earn, 6 of which are your Paintings from the collected slides.
The Hidden Object Scenes are kind of weak and boring. The colors within the scenes themselves are no work of art, with little detail and very basic colors. Most are slightly interactive list finds, some multiples of a single item and a handful of silhouetted shape finds. The Mini Games are actually pretty decent such as, placing dual colored figurines in the correct spaces using color coded rows and columns as a clue, placing tiles to create an image, strategically placing tiles to bumper the tile to stop on a continuous path, or helping the princess token escape the monsters on a honeycomb grid but every move the princess moves, the monster tokens move as well, surrounding and blocking the princess until she can't escape!
The Collector's Edition has Concept Art (18) Posters (9) Videos (8) Music (3) replayable Mini Games (5) Achievements (18) a Secret Card Game, Collectible Slides (30) Workshop (paintings) a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

A talking bear awakes you from your sleep, no you're not dreaming, this bear is real, and he insists you travel to the icy kingdom of Nypha to free the princess. The fate of the icy kingdom is somehow affecting your kingdom so time is of the essence, but getting there will be no easy task. It would seem that everyone is trying to stop you from completing this unbearable quest, but the bear has given you some unique powers to help you battle unforeseen enemies!
Now that you share a bond with this magnificent beast, you have the unique ability to recognize magical Arcane objects and use them to your advantage, once you play a Match 3 game that is. Whenever you find a new arcane item, you will need to play a click and drag type of Match 3, you have limited moves to gather the correct resource tiles, each new item will have a slightly more difficult Match 3 game. There are 44 Collectible Hidden Crowns, 15 Achievements to earn, and many of the inventory items are Complex Items requiring some type of interaction before they can be used.
The Hidden Object Puzzles all have a Morphing Object somewhere in the scene, and the icon will light up when you have collected the morph. Some HOP's require you to find medallions to uncover the interactive list finds, some require key words to be matched in a scene that are given one sentence at a time as a story about the early years in the kingdom of Nypha, and finding items that are out of place and returning them to the correct place in the scene.
The Mini Games aren't bad, but nothing new really. Some of the games within the demo are, guiding a snowmobile through a path using directional arrows to avoid obstacles, turning disk rings to line up slots, and making moves by clicking on a ball when it is in the green zone. My favorite was the fight scene, you have to choose the correct symbol shown to you by three guards, one at a time, if you don't find it quickly enough or you choose the incorrect symbol you lose, and visa versa.
This Collector's Edition has 44 Collectible Crowns, 19 Morphing Items (within the HOP's) 15 Achievements, 19 replayable HOP's, 9 Music Soundtracks, 27 Characters, the Making Of, 16 Wallpapers, a Jigsaw Puzzle, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, go get your game on, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Shadow Wolf Mysteries: Tracks of Terror
Can werewolves be cured, or will one family's curse continue?

Burdened with a family curse, Count DeLupe researched every possibility to find a cure, before his son Pierre reaches adulthood. The DeLupe family has protected this town with the strength no mortal man could possess, without them the whole city will be in grave danger! Someone is trying to kill the Count, so out of sheer desperation, he hires the best French Detective available, which just so happens to be you!
Some of the inventory items are Complex Items that are shown with a red background that turns green when another inventory item has been found that can be combined with it. The Collector's Edition has 11 Collectible mythical Monsters throughout the game, such as the Loch Ness Monster and even Sasquatch himself, as well as 11 Achievements to earn.
The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly Silhouette Shape finds, but there are also listed finds and scenes where you replace items back into the scene. The Mini Games range from super simple to super fun, turning three rings on a disc to complete a picture, or tracing a symbol using your mouse, making sure you don't wander over the sides to much. I actually enjoyed the Mini Game where you had to adjust the speed in which four tokens spun so that the ball located in the first token would be exchanged to the second token, third and fourth, so all four tokens had to be timed perfectly, or the ball would drop and you have to start all over.
The Collector's Edition has 4 Music Soundtracks, 7 Wallpapers, 9 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Screensavers, 12 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 replayable Mini Games, 11 Achievements, 11 Collectible Monsters, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

THE APOCALYPSE IS COMING! Crazy ole Aunt Mae tried to warn the citizens of Oakville not to chop down that tree, after all she has seen things you wouldn't believe. Nonetheless, nobody took her seriously and now the residents of Oakville are disappearing, only to return as the undead! Mr. Nightingale has been unleashed and is seeking revenge! Looks like you'll never make it to your book signing, Mr. Nightingale has other plans for you, the question though, is Mr. Nightingale ready for you?
The original Phantasmat is still my all time favorite game, no other game has yet to hold a candle to it's one of a kind storyline and unusual features with the best creep factor of all time. I purchased the Collector's Edition of this game and after playing the entire game including the bonus chapter, I felt a little bit disappointed:( The demo is definitely the cream of the crop and it leads you to believe that the entire game will be action packed and full of frightening, angry zombies, after all they do push you off the cliff for a true cliff hanger! The rest of the game is still really good, but focuses more on the plot and less on the undead, in fact I think only a few were shown after the demo! This game features Complex Plus Sign Inventory items, most of which have quick puzzles to solve, the Collector's Edition has Morphing Objects and Achievements to earn in addition. You definitely won't find any cuddly puppies, fire breathing dragons or curious kittens in this game, just you alone in this creepy little town wondering if you are alive.......or undead!
The Hidden Object Scenes are all over the board, and there are several smaller HOP's within zoomed in locations. Some require multiples of items found to unlock a tool which in turn unlocks listed items, there are sketches of items to find, and even multiple morphing item finds. You can even opt for a Match 3 game in place of the HOP. My only complaint is that the graphics are rather poor in the HOP's, which I just can't seem to understand from such a great series.
There are a ton of Mini Games ranging from simple puzzles where you turn rings or swap tokens to complete an image to more elaborate puzzles such as placing several round puzzle pieces with arm extensions of various degrees until all arms connect to the round tokens properly.
The Collector's Edition has replayable Match 3 games, HOP's and Mini Games, the Making Of, Achievements, 43 Morphing Objects, Music, Videos, Pictures, Collectibles, a Souvenir Room, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, what are you waiting for, turn off the lights and get your zombie game on, enjoy!

His Majesty of The Black Unicorn has given his word as King, to the evil sorcerer Isa. "I give you a King's promise, that I am willing to do whatever it takes to make my daughter well!" In the blink of an eye, Princess Adele does indeed miraculously recover from her deadly illness, only to find that her hand in marriage has been arranged by her father to Isa. The two of you grew up together and have become best friends, you must do whatever it takes to stop Isa's evil plans!
Fortunately for you, Princess, your Nanny's mother was from The Black Unicorn Kingdom where gargoyles hide and protect secrets. To charge this magical mirror you must find all 6 hidden gargoyle symbols, and the secret will be revealed. There are complex inventory items that require further interaction before using the item, Achievements to earn and 24 Collectible Stamps or wax seals. When you find all 24 you will unlock the bonus chapter.
The Hidden Object Scenes are Interactive list finds, as well as finding items in pairs. The only complain I have is that the scenes are repeated which I think is very boring. The Mini Games are decent, but nothing really new, moving gems into slots using each gems available directional arrows to guide the gems using other gems as bumpers, selecting symbols in the correct order, and my favorite game was jumping Unicorns until only one remains, you can jump up, down, sideways and even diagonally.
This Collector's Edition has 9 Wallpapers, 9 Concept Art pictures, 4 Screensavers, 24 Collectible Stamps, Music, 14 Achievements, replayable Hidden Object Puzzles and Mini Games, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy!

It's nearly impossible to put a new twist on a simple game such as Mahjong. For that reason alone, I have to give a high five to The Mahjong Huntress, and another high five for attaching a somewhat interesting storyline, and some unique features. As you've probably already guessed, this is a detective themed game where the main character, Mary Elisabeth Riley searches for clues as to the whereabouts of her fiance, Sir Charles, from an arranged marriage has disappeared to. Mary possesses a family heirloom pendant that will help you several ways during your Mahjong investigation.
Before the start of each Mahjong level, you will be given three level goals to achieve, each goal achieved gives you a star. There are tasks such as scoring a specific amount of points, or making a specific amount of combos, several of the levels had goals of finishing the level within 0 minutes! This feature alone swayed my opinion and prompted me to rate the game with 3 stars instead of 4, how can you possibly finish the level in zero minutes? How can you ever achieve a perfect score? More importantly, why????
The Pendant's powers are available once you have filled the meter either completely to use any of the powers, or at least to the particular powerup you want to use. Strike is the first power-up you earn, which allows you to place an available tile into the pendant, once you click on the Strike icon, the pendant will find and destroy it's match even if that tile is blocked. (note that you can store a tile there anytime and wait for the match to be uncovered, you don't have to use the power-up) The next power-up is Clairvoyance which highlights random available pairs every few seconds for a short period of time. Fate's Edict is basically a reshuffle feature, Paranormal Sight let's you make matches of pairs that are otherwise blocked, for a short period of time and Polymorph allows you to choose a tile and it will morph all tiles in that group to a single type of tile to allow matches. There are 232 Mystery Challenge levels that are basically freestyle levels as well.
After a group of Mahjong levels have been completed, you will play a set of Match 3, Battle style against your opponent. The instructions for this game was almost non-existent, there was no explanation of what the colored tiles represented, nothing about the power-ups earned or what they did either. I wasn't thrilled with that part of the game, but the Mahjong game itself was entertaining. If you don't like timed games, you probably won't like this game either because you need to find matches quickly, if you hesitate, your combo will reset causing a combo break. Besides that you have to be wicked fast to achieve the goals of completing the level within 0 seconds!

This is a really entertaining solitaire, but I liked Legends of Solitaire: Curse of the Dragons way more. There are three modes of difficulty available, Casual: the powerbar doesn't decrease, there's a high chance of getting special cards and you get more card points as well as being able to play King to Ace and Ace to King. Normal: the powerbar decreases normally, there is a medium chance of getting special cards, cards are worth normal amounts and you can play King to Ace and Ace to King. Hard: this mode has a powerbar that decreases quickly, there is a low chance of getting special cards, the cards have lower point value, and you cannot play King to Ace or vise versa. There are 4 card designs to choose from and 3 different face card types, 20 Achievements to earn and a Shop with 11 Power-up cards available. Combo's begin at 5 consecutive cards played. Beware, there are several bonus cards to draw that to help you win the hand, BUT, there are also cards drawn that deduct from your powerbar! There are the usual blocked cards that require you to uncover the card that unlocks some of the cards such as finding the key card to use on the locked cards. Once you earn enough stars in the 10 round hand, stars collected afterwards will be added to the next hand. The only feature I didn't like in this game was the fact that you cannot replay any level on any mode to try to achieve a better score, if your score isn't high enough or you haven't met all the goal levels, you have to replay the entire 10 hand round. Enjoy!

Isabella's memories have always been foggy, who she is and where she's from are questions that go unanswered. Her dreams only add to her confusement, repetitive dreams that take place in an old abandoned town, always involving vampires. Isabella's only saving grace was meeting her boyfriend Matt Wilson, who assures her she's not crazy, and convinces her to visit the town in her dreams. They barely get out of the car before they are confronted with a demon, Matt and Isabella run for their lives and become separated when Isabella falls into a den........not just any den, a den of undead, a vampire lair! Isabella must find her way out of this underground dungeon before nightfall, she must find Matt before his soul is forever taken, perhaps she'll find the answer to her soul's questions along the way!
I love the 2D graphics this game has to offer, with views as Isabella sees them, as well as a smooth transition into a frontal camera view as the camera pans forward to view Isabella's character walking towards you. The characters are computer generated, and very lifelike, someone spent a lot of time perfecting the graphics and tweaking the features to stream flawlessly! This game proves that you don't need a bunch of gimmicks to make a game superior, there's only two modes of difficulty, no map, no collectibles, and no mystical magical creatures to assist you. The lack of these features leaves you with time to appreciate the quality cinematics, the detailed graphics, the unobtrusive sound quality and the fantastic well developed storyline.
The Hidden Object Scenes are listed finds, at first it seems that there are only a handful of items required to find, but as you find the listed items, they are replaced with more items that add up to a decent sized HOP. Each scene has interactive items, some of which have puzzles to solve, some have clues you need to find first before applying it to the puzzle. There are also the traditional interactions where you need to click one item and click again on the item it belongs to such as a bottle of wine and a wine glass. There aren't a lot of HOP's but there are a ton of Mini Games ranging from easy to medium difficulty, all of them are doable without much frustration. There are games where you swap blue and red angels by jumping them over each other, turning several rings to create an image, arranging tetris shaped pieces to completely fill a square grid, fuses of different shapes and colors to place correctly into a fuse box with clues shown, and tiles to rotate so that the pipe section on each tile will form a complete pipe from left to right.
This game is worthy of a credit OR cold hard cash, unless you just have to have the luxury of all the bells and whistles associated with a lot of these games. Turn on all the lights, strap on a garlic necklace and prepare to get your vampire hidden object game on, enjoy!

I never imagined a Mahjong game could be this fun! Each of the 20 floors of this Hotel has 5 rooms, within each room is a very fast paced (you can opt for a relaxed mode) game of Mahjong. As you progress, you will unlock different backgrounds and different tiles, and you will earn Trophies for achievements along the way. Each Mahjong game is timed unless you opted for the Relaxed untimed version, and you can earn up to 3 gold stars per game. You can replay any game or room as often as you like to try for a better score.
There are five different types of Mahjong available, the faster you match tiles, the faster the bonus meter fills. When the bonus meter is full, you will earn the bonus prize shown at the top of the meter such as a bonus shuffle, more time or more points:
-Classic: This is the traditional mahjong style where you match two identical tiles that are free, a free tile has no other tile blocking the sides or on top. Unless you have chosen the Relaxed mode, all tiles must be removed before the timer runs out. -Freecell: Some tiles can be placed into available silver squares in order to unlock other tiles. The tiles in the silver squares are removed when you match them with a tile on the board. -Triple: This is my favorite game, which is a variation of Classic, only you have to match 3 identical tiles instead of two. This sounds really easy, but I found myself panicking a bit as I tried to find three of the same tiles before the timer ran out. -Split: You must match tiles that are in the golden square with tiles that are on the board. You cannot match tiles just on the board itself, the gold square tiles must be included. -River: You make matches of two identical colored tiles in which a line could connect the two. This line can only have two corners at the most. This sounds crazy complicated, but it's actually really easy because when you click on the first tile, an imaginary line will appear which can help you decide which tiles are available to accomplish this task. I have played this version before, but never thought of it as a mahjong game until now.
This elevator only goes up, and sheds a new light onto an old and somewhat mundane game. So get your Mahjong game on and enjoy the ride to the 20th floor!
