I researched some fun facts about the Hidden Expedition series recently, because I wanted to find out what H.E.L.P stood for, the P was stumping me. Turns out that this league has had a few name changes over the years. In Hidden Expedition: Titanic, the league went by the name of H.E.A.L, which was the Hidden Expedition Adventure League. In Hidden Expedition: Everest, the league was simply the Hidden Expedition Club, and Hidden Expedition: Devil's Triangle was H.E.A.T which stood for Hidden Expedition Adventure Team. The newer games feature the name H.E.L.P which stands for Hidden Expedition League of Preservation (my guess originally was protection) I guess this is a lot of useless information, but now you know!
The Hidden Expedition Team has been assigned to an abandoned weather station in the Montana mountains where tremors have been detected. The strange part is that there are no active earthquakes present which can only mean one thing, someone is tampering with mother nature! H.E.L.P must take on corporate america in this exhilarating episode, what exactly is the reason for the secrecy, and what is this corrupt corp up to? Only one way to find out, disable the cameras and enter this restricted area and hope you don't get caught because these people will stop at nothing to see their project completed.
In true HE fashion, there are 20 Fact Cards to collect with information on such topics as average precipitation, telescopes and even the meaning of sound waves. There are also 44 hidden Globes to collect, Achievements to earn and Plus Sign Inventory items that require some type of interaction before the item can be used. There are even Morphing Objects within the HOP's.
The Hidden Object Scenes are over the top as expected in this series, progressive, interactive silhouetted shape finds where you must find items and use those items within the scene to expose other items. There is even a Hidden Object Scene where you must use binoculars to find items related to the clues shown in a paragraph at a time. Some scenes even have morphing objects available.
The Mini Games are really fun and all seem to be related to the subject at hand, decoding the signal by moving soundwave segments to their correct positions using sliders and arrows. Arranging tokens using empty slots so that the lowest values are on the left and the higher values are on the right. There are even small games where you are tasked with stopping the target in the correct safe zone or aligning targets to pinpoint the correct areas.
This Collector's Edition has 13 Achievements, 10 Morphing Objects, 28 replayable Puzzles, 12 replayable HOP's, 6 Videos, 44 Collectible Globes, 12 Concept Art pictures, 8 Wallpapers, 9 Soundtracks, the Making of, a Souvenir Room, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Scarlett thought it was a beautiful day to take a short ride on her boat, but a freak storm from out of nowhere takes her out to sea. Her boat washes ashore onto Parrot Island where she meets some abandoned farm animals who ask for her help with their farming skills. This Time Management game is exactly the same as the last Farm Frenzy, except the animals are wearing pirate themed costumes. Jack the parrot is our tour guide, and takes you step by step on this farming journey to learn the in's and out's of how to manage your time and what to do next.
The first thing you must do is plant grass so that the chickens have something to eat, if you run out of grass, the hens begin to cackle obsessively until you plant more grass. If the water well runs dry, you must click on the well to refill the water, and the well can be upgraded several times in the Shop. Once you have planted grass, the chickens will lay eggs randomly which you click on to collect and store in your warehouse. As you progress, you will need to purchase an Egg Powder Machine which takes the eggs collected and turns them into egg powder. You will also buy a Spaghetti machine that will take the powdered eggs and turn them into spaghetti, again the products are stored in the warehouse and both machines can be upgraded to produce more product. When the warehouse is full you need to ship the products to town to be sold, and the warehouse as well as the boat can be upgraded to hold more product.
There are Ferrets that steal your product and bears that scare away your chickens, so you need to click on the critters several time to build a cage around them, and they too can be sold for money. You can purchase Frank the dog or a pirate cat to automatically catch the critters for you. Eventually you will be able to purchase not only chickens, but pigs, cows, monkeys and even parrots as you progress. The goal is to finish the level tasks within either Gold, Silver or Bronze time allotments, but if you earn gold for the levels you will get the chance to play a game of slots to win prizes and bonuses which can be applied before the start of the level to automatically catch critters, make the dog move faster or even win several tokens to purchase upgrades.
As I stated earlier, this game is the exact same game as the last Farm Frenzy, but with a tropical pirate theme. You probably won't want to purchase this game if you own the last one, with that being said, is still a really fun Time Management game, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Twenty years have passed since the Archdemon Ragner killed Dawn's father, which means she is the last remaining member of the demon hunters organization. In the beginning God created man who lived side by side with the angels, but man was tempted by evil, and evil prevailed! So begins the first armageddon, some angles sided with man, some sought to destroy man. Since then evil exists as do the angel demonhunter's who seek to destroy them, unfortunately, Dawn is the last man, er... woman standing!
I have to give kudos to the devs, who have created a great sequel with an interesting plot and decent graphics. Above all, I love the creative puzzles available, most of which are unique. There are Collectibles available starting with 6 Bronze Swords within the demo, an abundance of Achievements to earn, and there are even Morphing Objects within the HOP's! Dawn has an Amulet that protects her from danger, and that's a good thing because someone is trying to kill her every chance they get.
The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly interactive list finds, with words in turquoise color requiring either an interaction to expose the questioned item, or a Morphing Item that can only be acquired when it's in the correct form. There are also Silhouetted shape finds available and several Rube Goldberg type puzzles where you find missing items in the scene and replace them where they belong to start the reactions when the parts are found. Most of the scenes are repeated, but this is the first time I didn't mind because the second time around is a completely different type of HOP.
The Mini Games are really fun and doable such as preparing a helicopter for liftoff by tinkering with the correct sequence of colored buttons, setting gauges from clues shown, clicking switches to the correct positions and pressing specific buttons. The next Mini game requires you to set the correct symbol on the correct shape of gears on the left and right by finding the spinning gear in the middle that matches the shape of the gear on the right and then switching the symbol on the gears on the left. The third mini game requires you to use or combine the elements of earth wind fire and water to create the correct item that is required as a story is being told. The fourth mini game is similar to the helicopter game where you use clues shown to set dials, switches and slides to receive code symbols. The fifth mini game in the demo is a game of Clue but I ran out of time before completing the puzzle.
This game is definitely worthy of a credit, try the demo first, but for me, the mini games and HOP's are what make this game so interesting. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

The Inner World is a place Robert has never been....until today that is! Robert has lived his entire life in the tower high above the city as the abbot Conroy's apprentice. Today as fate would have it, a mischievous pigeon named Peck has swallowed Conroy's medallion amulet. Robert doesn't hesitate to chase after Peck who scurried down the garbage chute that leads to Asposian, a unusual world in which the wind has ceased to exist!
This is a hand drawn adventure game unlike no other, it's very slow moving as you are tasked with guiding Robert every step of the way. Everyone Robert meets is important, and everything Robert finds has a purpose, eventually. Items that can be interacted with will have a dot that when clicked on will give you the choice of a magnifying glass which means Robert investigates the item and states the obvious, a hand which means Robert will pick up the item (if something is needed in order to pick up the item Robert will say something witty such as "it's too greasy to pick up) if you click on the gears, it will allow you to click and drag on an inventory item necessary to complete the task. Some inventory items need to be combined before using, this can be done by dragging one inventory item to the other.
When Robert meets different characters along the way, he soon realizes that everybody wants something and nothing's free. Characters have a great deal of information, as the character carries on a conversation, icon's appear relating to the subjects that are being talked about. You can choose these icons in any order you want to try and figure out what it will take to make that person happy, where to find items that relate to what they want, and how to go about getting these necessary items. When you think you have extracted enough information from them you click on the X to exit the conversation, but don't worry you can always return to delve deeper into the conversation.
There's no hand holding in this game, if you get stuck, you can choose to receive a hint if you click on the question mark at the top of the screen. Several topics will appear (if you have progressed enough to have multiple tasks to accomplish) you choose the topic you are stuck on and a vague answer will be given to point you in the right direction. If you are still confused as to what needs to be done next, you can continue clicking to receive more in depth answers until you are practically told where to go and what to do when you get there.
This is a slow moving cartoonish adventure where you will meet sarcasm at it's best. You will quickly relate to Robert's character and learn from him as you go along. There are no HOP's or puzzles to tinker with, just an adventure that leads to a seemingly never ending quest to find the elusive pigeon! This is one of those games you're going to have to play before buying to see if it's right for your taste, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

The Observatory has been tracking a very fast moving meteor heading straight for the town of Arrowhead, but this ain't no meteor, it's a flying saucer! In true Roswell fashion, the spacecraft (weather balloon) lands smack dab in the middle of an unsuspecting farmers barn. This space invader is on an important mission to save planet Earth from the world eaters of Iridessa and he's going to need his good friend Diana's help activating the planetary defense system! Strap yourself in for this rocketship ride cause it's not going to be easy staying one step ahead of the military who has no concept of what these aliens are capable of much less who's on who's side!
THIS GAME IS FULL OF EASTER EGGS FROM BEGINNING TO END....it's really fun to find all the references from the equally awesome game, Maze: Subject 360, and I might add, that game has several references to Beyond as well! This game was an immediate purchase for this sci-fi geek, the graphics are incredible, and the thing I love the most is how authentic the graphics are. From the rust plagued tractors to the sleek futuristic spacecraft, the artists paid immense attention to every detail. (notice how even the inventory bar transforms to reflect the difference from one planet to the other) The characters are real people, the locations are totally believable, and the game flows flawlessly. There are Plus Sign Complex inventory items, (requiring some type of otherworldly interaction) and the Collector's Edition has the addition of Interstellar Achievements (Out of this world), Star Memories (intergalactic gifts) Morphing Objects (shapeshifting alien technology) and 44 hidden collectible Rocket Symbols to find (if you're not too busy saving the planet)
The Hidden Object Puzzles vary from the standard interactive list finds (again, the devs have done a great job keeping the items authentic and appropriate for each location) as well as finding matching and complex Symbols. There are even several smaller HOP's within zoomed in locations, finding items from pictures shown, or multiples of items that match the silhouetted shapes. My favorite feature of all time is only available in the Collector's Edition, each HOP has a Morphing Object to find, whenever you see the icon that replaces the Rocket Symbol icon, there's a Morphing Object to search for, and I will admit that it took me quite a while to find the Morph in the matching symbol HOP...and I loved it!
The Mini Games, fantastic! Right from the get go, you get to drive a motorcycle at a neck breaking pace around sharp curves in the darkness! There are normal, fairly easy puzzles, repeating the sequence of symbols, and finding nodes that connect in length between batteries on the left and right sides. My favorite Mini Game was trying to sneak by the military guards, in three different locations which increased in difficulty each time, adding more guards and more guard dogs. You have to choose the most logical path out of three different patterns, AND you have to pay attention to the timing as well.
The Collector's Edition has the Town of Arrowhead Party (Jigsaw) 15 different Achievements, Soundtracks, 44 Collectible Rocket Symbols (which will unlock the Rocket Hunt) Characters information, 12 Wallpapers, 21 Hidden Object Puzzles, Morphing Objects, replayable Mini Games, "Making Of" Videos, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, so get your sci-fi game on and enjoy!
I recommend this game!

12 Labours of Hercules is a fantastic Time Management Game, but I'm going to wait for the Standard Edition because from what I can see, the Collector's Edition only has Wallpapers and Achievements to offer and possibly the addition of Collectible Puzzle Pieces that allows you to piece together a mosaic picture every 10 levels or so.
This episode begins with a roundtable meeting of the gods who decide that Hercules must be dealt with. The gods are jealous of Hercules, a demigod adored and admired by his people, and when nobody was looking, someone poisoned Hercules! After an entire year of bedridden illness, Hercules is better than ever and has a lot of work to catch up on because the once fertile lands have withered and turned into a wasteland. Megara joins her husband on this adventure, restoring withered trees and growing fruit for workers to eat.
There are three different modes of difficulty, Relaxed, Casual and expert, and every level that is completed within Gold Time (3 stars) will reveal a part of the ancient castle which I believe is supposed to be Mt. Olympus, but I could be wrong on that one. Each level has a puzzle piece to find which looks like an ancient rune tile, I look for the puzzle piece before clicking on anything which starts the game, that way I don't forget about the puzzle piece or waste time searching for it. You can replay any of the levels to try to get a better score or if you forgot the puzzle piece. There are several Achievements to earn for tasks such as collecting a resource after completing the level tasks, completing the level without using bonuses or finding 10 puzzle pieces.
There are the usual tasks of building and upgrading farms, sawmills, goldmines and even storage facilities, clearing and repairing paths, and collecting food. Each task requires a certain amount of resources to complete and when you scan over a task, the requirements needed are shown as well as the resources you are lacking to complete. You can click on several tasks to have the workers complete, a checkmark will appear on the item for every available worker, and flags will queue the rest in numerical order until a worker is free. In Relaxed and Casual modes, the tasks available are circled in green, yellow indicates you will be able to complete the task once the resources collected are delivered to the base camp, red indicates the item is either blocked or you don't have enough available resources. Megara is summoned to grow fruit trees and heal trees which transforms a section to a lush oasis. Then of course there's Hercules with all his strength, who is tasked with only one job, clear paths of boulders no mere man can budge!
As you progress, you will receive bonuses that can be used each time the meter fills to make the workers Faster and even collect more resources. Generally, you want to use these bonuses often in order to complete the tasks within Gold Time, especially as you progress and the levels become more complicated. Occasionally you will get a chance to earn bonus points by reading plaques that give you optional tasks such as finding two Ancient Vases.
This Collector's Edition has 9 Wallpapers, Achievements to earn, Collectible Puzzle Pieces, Puzzles to complete once all the pieces have been collected, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus story and level, so get your TM game on Hercules style, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Everybody loves a circus carnival, with the exception of employee # 18 whose cold lifeless body has just been discovered! Looks like we have a new partner for this whodunit mystery, however he doesn't seem all that helpful because when he finds clues he always suggests that I do all the investigating whilst he stands guard over the crime scene, lol. Once again we are equipped with a simple but effective Forensics Kit to examine the victim's bodies, tongue depressors, tweezers, dusters etc. and then draw a conclusion based upon the evidence. All the evidence and deductions you make are stored on the Evidence Board, which can be accessed anytime. Several of the inventory items you find have plus signs indicating some type of interaction must be performed before the item can be used such as combining it with another inventory item or solving a quick puzzle. The Collector's Edition has Achievements to earn and 39 hidden Justice Scales to collect for an additional special achievement.
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied, some are progressive interactive finds that match the sketches, some are silhouetted shape finds and the standard interactive list finds. All are centered around carnival themed items and very entertaining, but you can also opt for the Bubble Shoot game instead. The Mini Games aren't really new, but enjoyable, such as turning three rings to align pathways from an animal token in the middle to the matching token on the outside, and this process is repeated until all 4 animal tokens have been completed one at a time.
The Collector's Edition has 9 Puzzles, 15 HOP's, 39 Hidden Justice Scales, 7 Movies, 8 Concept Art pictures, 8 Wallpapers, Souvenirs, 12 Achievements, 6 Music Soundtracks, Bubble Shooter games, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, hurry, hurry, hurry, step right up and enjoy this deady carnival!

The Mystery Trackers are lending us a hand on this arson investigation! Fires are breaking out everywhere in Northern Oregon, which in itself isn't unusual, but reports are coming in with sightings of the legendary Oregon Phoenix. Let's hope the phoenix isn't responsible because legend has it, they live 1000 years. The Stone Spire Hotel is at the center of attention here, owner Amanda Sate has transformed this university building into a hotel to feel closer to her good friend Stephen whose life was taken at this university by one of these fires. It's time to get to the bottom of this abnormality and find out if the Oregon Phoenix is indeed responsible for the fires, or if this is a clever disguise for a cunning arsonist.
Haunted Hotel has been involving as of late, and this edition is definitely proof that it's heading in the right direction! There are complex inventory items that require some type of interaction before using, 20 Collectible Puzzle Pieces, 12 Legendary Bird Figurines with a small bio and origin, and my all time favorite feature, 21 Morphing Objects.
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied with interactive list finds, to finding pairs of items by moving two items at a time to briefly expose items. There are also several small HO's within zoomed in areas that require you to find 3 of the same item, but they're not really hidden or difficult to find. The Mini Games are decent, resetting wires by moving the jacks and pulling a lever to see which ones are correct. You also have to put out a fire with a hose but I don't consider that a mini game.
This Collector's Edition has 8 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 17 Achievements, 12 Mythical Bird Figurines, 20 Stained Glass Puzzle Pieces, 21 Morphing Objects, replayable HOP's and Mini Games, a Secret Room, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter. What are you waiting for, get your Mystery Trackers Haunted Hotel game on, enjoy!

Veronica Ellard is a self-taught plane walker who freed the people of Havenwick from an impenetrable dome surrounding their city for nearly 20 years! Now she has been asked by the Order of Barons to help the neighboring city of Volarden who has fallen victim to the Shadows, the same evil that imprisoned Havenwick. The Baron's motto, when in the darkness, we are the light. As the Shadow's fall, we light the fire. When evil attacks, we burn with hope. Veronica must spread the light of the Baron's upon the Shadow shrouded city of their brethren before the evil that has pitted brother against brother, casts it's darkness forevermore!
Your mother, a member of the Order as well, has given you a powerful Amulet that stores collected spells during your quest. Each time the Amulet is used to cast a spell, it becomes stronger and more powerful. Restora repairs broken objects, Combusta creates a small flame, Germina makes plants grow and Electra charges objects with electricity. Once you arrive in Volarden, you will find the Scroll of Secrets, that shows useful information about Volarden and it's residents. In the Collector's Edition, it also reveals 30 hidden rune symbols, one in each scene, as well as the addition of several Achievements to earn. The city also has a portal that when activated, allows you to walk between the real world and a parallel universe which is basically the same place, only darker. You will have to travel back and forth, using items from one parallel in the other and vice versa.
The Hidden Object Scenes have several types available, with a unique feature that requires you to use some of the inventory items you have collected within the scene by switching between the inventory tab and the objects tab. There are FROG's which is several fragmented object pieces to find, and interactive list finds as well. Some of the HOS are repeated, which is a major downfall in my opinion, it's boring a second time around and I cannot figure out why they do this!
Hope you love Mini Games because there are a lot of em, and to me, this is the feature that makes or breaks the game. Whenever you find a new symbol that allows you to repair your broken amulet (yes, they always break after the first use) you play a mini game. The same game is repeated each time, but it gets more complicated as you progress. There are several red masks that must be turned yellow using 2 or three copper symbols with specific directional arrows, to cover all of the masks in each direction. Other puzzles requires you to use magnets to either repel or attract gems into their correct slots, another requires you to drag red stars with lines connecting each red star across every blue star to light them all up. One of my favorite puzzles was putting all blue tokens on the left and all red tokens on the right, using arms on each row and column to nudge each token one space at a time. All of the puzzles are doable, some of them are just more time consuming than others.
The Collector's Edition has 5 Soundtracks and Videos, 12 Concept Art pictures, 6 Wallpapers in the Art Gallery, 30 Hidden Runes, 20 Mini Games, 17 Hidden Object Puzzles, 20 Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

In the tiny kingdom of gnomes the king built a massive garden for his people to enjoy. Every year on his daughter's birthday, the king declared a holiday and gnomes from all corners of the kingdom came to visit the beautiful garden. After a very dry summer and a harsh winter, his garden began to suffer, as did the king who fell ill and became bedridden! The princess set off on a journey to collect magical seeds to restore her father's garden.
Although there isn't really anything new in this Time Management game, it has really good graphics, obtainable tasks with a nice variety. There are the usual tasks of collecting resources, clearing paths, repairing roads and building bridges. There are sawmills to build, quarries, firemen's houses, farms, and sorceresses houses to construct and upgrade, and there's even a market which allows you to exchange some resources for others that you may need. You can upgrade housing to accommodate more workers to help you finish the level within the time allotted to earn up to three gold stars per level. (There are 49 levels total)
Each level has a special task to complete, which usually requires building a specific building or gathering enough resources to complete the goal. The Sorceress can plant magical seeds, or cure withered trees, but she has to have a humble abode first to reside in, and you have to collect enough crystals for her to work her magic. Once seeds are planted by the sorceress, the fireman has to water the plant to make it grow, but of course he needs a firehouse built first. You might have to build a stone quarry to produce enough stone, or a sawmill to produce enough wood in order to repair beehives, or construct a gnome version of stonehenge.
As you progress, you will earn magical abilities that can be used to speed up workers or get more resources, once you use the bonus, you have to let it recharge before you can use it again. There are 23 Trophies or Achievements to earn and you can choose the option of No Tutorial, otherwise you will play the first few levels with an automatic tutorial. Any level can be replayed as often as you want, to try for a better score, there is a time meter on the right side that has three stars, if the meter dips below the first star, you will only receive 2 stars for the level, and so forth, however you are still able to complete the level and continue with no stars, if you want to play the game with no timer worries (I saw no option available otherwise) Other than a couple of typo's, the game runs flawlessly, has an interesting adventure story and best of all, it's fun to play, enjoy!
I recommend this game!
