I loved the game Beyond which was an instant buy for me when it first debuted, and I'm a fan of most MH games and I applaud their success with Beyond, a game that wasn't expected to appeal to so many gamers. Okay....but that game was unique, a refreshing sci-fi change of pace. Just because you use the same exact music, the same exact barn, the same exact water tower, the same exact alien catches the barn on fire scenario, the same map style and the same features in this game, it doesn't mean that Heart of the Storm will be as successful. In my opinion, they made the entrance to the town scene almost to the tee of the town in Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek. It makes it seem like a knockoff, like they scrambled to put together a game using patchwork pieces of other games. Seems lazy when you think about it. I also have to question how long this game would actually be, because the demo is very short.
The graphics are confusing to me, some buildings are very detailed, others blurry, the characters are spot on but everything else is large and cartoonish, some items don't make sense such as the two boulders (shown in two different scenes) with faces. The storyline is interesting enough, but judging by the demo, there's nothing new here, a malevolent spirit from a nearby Ancient Temple is causing an environmental phenomena, AKA, the storm of the century. The only prop you get is a smartphone, which in my opinion makes a game more realistic, which will be used as a journal to store clues found, a camera to take important pictures, a flashlight, and of course you will be able to make and receive phone calls. Many of the inventory items are complex which require some type of interaction before they can be used, and there are 14 Achievements to earn throughout the game. Every scene has a Collectible Hunt symbol to search for, and has an Icon to keep track of which scenes still have a Collectible to find.
The Hidden Object Scenes also seem cartoonish, with large bulky items to search for within Interactive List Finds, finding Multiples of several silhouetted shape items, or finding items that match their identical pictures as shown on the inventory bar which releases the final item by carving a tree with each item found. Each Hidden Object Puzzle has a Morphing Object, and there is an Icon for this feature as well.
The Mini Games are far and few between, and are very easy puzzles to solve, but that's okay in my opinion as long as they are somewhat entertaining. The following are brief descriptions of the games you will encounter during the demo:
1) Type in the correct password to access the computer, then arrange folders by swapping them to their correct places turning all folders green.
2) Lead the power from the source to the target by rotating tiles to connect the wires.
3) Clear all chalk blots from the board by dragging an uninterrupted line of two or more blots of the same color using cardinal directions.
This Collector's Edition has 44 Collectible Hunt symbols, 14 Achievements, 17 replayable Hidden Object Puzzles, 17 Morphing Objects within the HOP's, 16 Concept Art pictures, 20 Wallpapers, 9 Music Soundtracks, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Meet Claude Ward, the famous composer, Norman Ward the burly hunter, Lisbeth Ward a painter, and a very good one, and Abigail Ward, an Herbalist, your kinfolk. You've never met these family members before, where have they been all these years? This is one family reunion you may never forget, this is one family reunion you may never survive! These eccentric Ward's have skeletons in their closets, can you escape the Ward Manor without adding to their collection?
I'm still a Phantasmat fan, the games in this series just get better and better, (but I still love the original story the best) This game will not disappoint you, the graphics are stunning, and what a great story! The Collector's Edition has 42 Collectible 3D Rocking Horses, 20 Morphing Objects, and plenty of Achievements to earn. Each chilling chapter will shed light upon each family member, including little Thomas who seems to be feared by everyone.
The Hidden Object Scenes are just as creepy as the Ward family, with a variety of styles to please just about any HOP fan. There are multiple finds that open up a tool of some sort to be used upon the item shown which will then open up a listed item finds. Some have small puzzles to solve, silhouetted shape finds, morphing object finds and even progressive interactive finds where you find the first item and use that item interactively in the scene to expose the next item and so forth. There is an optional Match 3 game as well.
The Mini Games are decent, but tend to be on the side of easy and not very complex, within the demo itself, but I will admit that after the demo the games become more difficult and more entertaining. Below is a list with brief descriptions of some of the games you will encounter within the demo:
1) Drag tiles and rearrange them to form a complete image on three cylinders.
2) Select symbols and bells in the correct order.
3) Spin outer and inner circles to form an image.
4) Put moths in their correct places to match their descriptions, then select the numbers on the panel to match the result of each equation.
5) Drog all matching plates into the correct areas based on their symbols, using arrows.
6) Select a clock hand and select any of the two rotation buttons to move it, and arrange them so that the hands are in the correct quarters based on the picture.
The Collector's Edition has 10 Music Soundtracks, 16 Videos, 7 Characters, a Souvenir Room, 8 Wallpapers, 12 Concept Art pictures, 42 Collectible Rocking Horses, 20 Morphing Objects, 14 Achievements, 20 replayable Puzzles, 18 replayable HOP's, replayable Match 3 games, Bonus Videos, a Bonus Chapter and a built in Strategy Guide, This is one game that will chill ya to the bone, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Many years ago, the Architects and Guardians created many fantastic Worlds. One of the Architects was deeply in love, but the woman he loved fell ill and perished, leaving him bitter and desperate, desperate to resurrect her! This feat bears a heavy price however, the destruction of Gaudium and it's Queen who is the Keeper of the Dark Ruby which is capable of destructing this world. Elemental Monsters have been sent to Gaudium and are creating havoc of epic proportions, as a Guardian, Grace must find the strength to defeat the Dark Architect and his minions before their entire world disappears into nothingness.
My favorite feature of the Reflections of Life series is finding the 65 Observers, those one eyed creatures that love to hide in plain sight. There is a tab on the left of the screen that will let you know when all have been found in the scene, if you haven't found them all, you won't get the chance to go back to some locations when they have been completed. You will also be equipped with an Architect Lense that will allow you to discover hidden places, but each lense can only be used once. There is a Mini Game associated with the Lense, swapping pie shaped pieces to create an image. Eventually you will receive an Amulet that will help you translate the ancient languages, which also has a Mini Game associated with it where you recreate symbols by dragging several segments until completed. Many of the Plus Sign inventory items also have small puzzles to solve and there are 15 Achievements to earn, as well as your trust Owl to help you out with items out of reach.
There are several smaller Zoom Zone Hidden Object Scenes, and the main HOP's come in several variations. There are interactive List finds, scenes requiring you to replace the items back into the scene, finding items that match the descriptions given, finding multiples of a single item and even an interactive play where you find items within three different play scenes, switching back and forth between acts to find and place items related to the story being told. You can choose to play a Match 3 game instead of most of the HOP's.
The Mini Games are in abundance, some of which are very clever. The following are brief descriptions of some of the games you will play during the demo:
1) Set 6 candles straight, clicking on one affects others.
2) Recreate the color and pattern shown using specific colors in a specific order.
3) Swap tiles to create a portrait image.
4) Use a torch to melt the ice in a specific pattern.
5) Fight the Elemental monster using the correct shield, then the sword to attack.
6) Rotate tiles to restore the image.
7) Place broken mirror shards correctly.
8) Swap tokens to match their color coded slots.
9) Rotate and swap flower petals so all flowers are uniform in color.
10) Complete the scene using sliders to control the position, size and rotation of the images.
11) Rotate the rims to make the pieces correspond with the continents.
12) Swap facial features to match the masks shown on each bust.
13) Paint each window segment with the color shown on the center segment.
This Collector's Edition has 15 Achievements, 65 hidden Observers, replayable Hidden Object Scenes and Mini Games, Match 3 Games, 8 Music Soundtracks, Movies, 10 Wallpapers, 3 Lucky Gifts, two Bonus Chapters: Liberation and Magic Sight, and a built in Strategy Guide, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

This game has the weirdness story I've seen in a long time, Sherlock Steel is aging at a rapid pace, the price of the elixir needed to restore his youthful vitality is astronomical, but his daughter Rachel is in luck. A new client, Puss-n-Boots, has just walked through the doors of the detective agency with promises of incredible wealth if Rachel can return his wife Beauty (who seems to depict the character of Jessica Rabbit) from her abductor, known as the Mystic. You'll find yourself battling against some unusual and very cheesy characters, and meet familiar faces in a whole different light such as Rapunzel who is a bartender, naturally.
No worries, Sherlock Steel's faithful assistant Vincent has agreed to help you solve this case. Vincent is kind of weasley, literally, I think he might be a ferret, weasel or perhaps a meerkat?? You'll also have the famous Magic Magnifier, that will help you to locate secret hidden compartments, the magnifier turns red when you near the compartment and blue when you're too far away.
The Hidden Object Scenes are really impressive, they are all interactive list finds, but the cursor doesn't change into a hand to indicate where something can be picked up or opened, you'll have to use logic to figure out what needs to be done. A few of the scenes are on the dark side, and some of the scenes are repeated in the same place.
The Mini Games are really easy and not as impressive as the HOP's such as sliding puzzle strips to complete and image, Swap sword fragments to match their hilts, spot the difference and even an interactive play where you find missing elements within the scene.
No, this game won't win any awards, and it's not going to be able to compete with the CE games available, but it's an entertaining adventure with a whole lot of weirdness, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I found this game to have unappealing graphics, and quite frankly I found it boring with very few unique features. The game mechanics were clunky and archaically slow moving even when I changed the resolution quality to it's lowest settings. The object with most levels is to clear all silver tiles, and some of the tiles have locks or double locks. There are some "blocker" tiles which cannot be moved to make life a little harder. Levels that have a spinning cog above them have a bonus to unlock such as a Gem bomb. Again, I found nothing unusual in this Match 3 game and I especially didn't like the steampunk gem theme.
I don't recommend this game.

At first the features piqued my interest, each level has four successive stages, each stage more difficult that the previous one, which will earn you more XP points. But I found out that by the fourth stage of the level, I was so bored I didn't want to play any more. It's the same level, same tasks, but you get less time, and each level has a specific amount of moves to complete the tasks. The game has very large and cartoonish graphics, making me wonder if this game was designed for kids. The tasks are the usual, collect food and resources, some of the tasks are a bit different, such as when cutting down a tree, if the first tree is cut down first, it will knock down the other trees because of the way the tree leans. There just isn't enough "fun factor" in this game to make me want to continue playing.
I don't recommend this game.

Four innocent children have disappeared from summer camp, one of those kids is the niece of parapsychologist Brenda Gale. The camp counselor Molly seems to be possessed, chanting "you can't have the children, they're mine now" Could there be something evil lurking within the gem mines of this town? Is history repeating the events that took place in 1931 when four children were kidnapped by their teacher Miss Cameron? Who's spirit is seeking revenge on the lives of four innocent children? Could there be a link between these children and the children from 1931?
A simple Ghost catching apparatus is all you need on this investigation, well, that and maybe some Morphing Objects to earn some extra hints too. You'll also have to search for the six original possessions belonging to Alex, Rebecca, Sullivan and Linda, that tuck neatly into their person storage boxes, and will hopefully set their innocent souls free. There are no Achievements to earn but there are complex inventory items and some screens allow you to pan up, down, right and left, but the lack of extras in this game allows you to fully concentrate on the storyline, which is awesome!
The Hidden Object Scenes are really, really good, it's actually hard to figure out what's a Hidden Object puzzle and what's a Mini game Puzzle! You may have to find clues that match the kid's individual personalities (using clues given) then you have to put those item into their correct backpacks. Another scene has you matching pairs of words written by the same person, then you find pictures that match each child's interest on a poster board and place plaques that match the silhouetted shapes.
The Mini Games seem to be a little too easy, but lately all games seem to have simple puzzles. Below is a list of brief descriptions on some of the games you will encounter during the game:
1) Climb up a cliff by choosing sturdy rocks, limbs and crevices. (at least you don't have to match them)
2) Press buttons in the order shown on the note.
3) Enter the activation code on the device by pressing the button to choose the correct symbols as soon as they appear.
4) Arrange tiles so they match the wires on the frame with the correct number of connections.
5) Shoot a BB gun at the correct animal that matches a description given.
The Collector's Edition has pictures of the VG team, 28 Morphing Objects, 6 collectible items for each of the four missing children, Wallpapers, Music, Concept Art, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

This game had real potential in the beginning but quickly lost it's steam once I entered the portal to Ancient Rome. I found the tasks to be mundane and I grew weary of collecting what seemed like hundreds of collectibles in each and every scene. The storyline is nothing new, fellow detective Peter Larrabee has stolen very powerful artifacts and is using them to travel to different time periods (Ancient Rome, Renaissance, Middle Ages) to find a cure for his supposedly terminally ill fiance, Debby,
Surprise! You find an Amulet that can speed up or slow down time for short periods of time, you first try it out on a door mechanism that has chomping steel teeth moving at lightning speed. I don't know about you, but I'd wanna test that amulet out on something a little less life threatening first, how long do the effects last? Do I really want to risk loosing my entire hand first try? There is an overabundance of collectibles to find in just about every scene, 41 Puzzle Pieces, Character Statues, Magical Artifacts, and even Journal pages tucked nice and neatly into every nook and cranny you uncover. There are also a ton of Achievements to earn, nearly 40 of them. You can answer a few questions in the Personality Quiz section to find out which era suits your personality best, mine was the Middle ages, brutal!
The Hidden Object Scenes aren't terrible, but are super simple, and nothing out of the ordinary. There are Silhouetted shape finds where you have to find multiples of each shape, and Morphing Object finds, interactive list finds. You can opt for a Match 3 game instead of the HOP's.
The Mini Games are for the most part way too easy, or just annoying. Here are brief descriptions of some of the games you will encounter during the demo:
1) Arrange photos so they match the positions shown in the main picture.
2) Complete images by sliding tokens to correct slots.
3) Arrange figurines according to their historical periods. (difficult to see images)
4) Click on a net to catch birds in the numbers and colors shown.
5) A multi-layered puzzle where you find map fragments then arrange them in various puzzle styles, swap strips, sliding pieces, and swapping upper and lower segments.
This Collector's Edition has 19 Wallpapers, 39 Achievements, 12 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 12 replayable Mini Games, 19 replayable Hidden Object Puzzles, 18 Magical Artifacts to collect, 15 Character Statues, 41 Stained glass Puzzle Pieces, a Personality Quiz, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Imprisoned for nearly two months now, Jacques Perrault has been accused of kidnapping his own wife, Angelica! There's two problems with this situation, nobody knows they secretly wed, and Jacques has no clue why he would attempt such a thing, he doesn't remember anything about the crime, in fact, he doesn't remember anything, he doesn't even remember Angelica! All that's about to change, and he soon realizes that he's the victim of a curse that has wiped away all his memories, D'Morten's curse, and he wants Angelica to be his Countess! Turn's out Angela and Jacques share a love that runs deep, an Immortal love, a love that Count D'Morten cannot allow if Angelica is to be his wife, wife number 20!
I'm usually not a fan of love stories, the storyline has to be really good to capture my attention. Not only does this game have an intriguing and immersive storyline, it isn't a sappy mushy soap opera! Quite the opposite, there's a jailbreak for starters, along with murder, deceit, treachery, greed and of course, immortal love. There are lots of inventory items to find and apply to appropriate tasks, some of which are Plus Items requiring some type of interaction or puzzle to solve before the items can be used. There are also Conversation choices to make as well. Eventually you will receive an Amulet that can slow down and rewind time to help you correct minor or even major mistakes made. The Collector's Edition has the additional features of D'Morten's Secret Chest which stores the portraits of all 20 previous wives as well as the 21 Morphing Objects you come across during the adventure. The chest will reveal his secrets when all have been found.
The Hidden Object Scenes are not bad, with a clear attempt at making the normal a little more interesting, searching for arrest documents, photographs and other prison related material including verifying handprints. There are still the typical listed item finds and silhouetted shape finds included.
The Mini Games tend to be a bit too easy, not necessarily bad, but nothing to write home about either. Below is a list of brief descriptions on some of the Mini Games you will play during the demo:
1) Swap image fragments to complete 4 photographs.
2) Select cylinders in the correct order to pick a lock by trial and error.
3) Slide color coded skulls to their matching slots, in two different puzzles, the first very easy, the second, slightly more difficult.
4) Swap tiles to complete the image.
5) Match identical Masks.
6) Place flags with two cutouts to match the correct set of tokens.
7) Drag circles until they form the correct numbers.
8) Flip over two mosaic tiles to match associated pairs, if the selection is wrong the tiles will shuffle.
9) Select fragments in the correct order based on clues given.
The Collector's Edition has 4 Screensavers, 18 Concept Art pictures, 6 Music Soundtracks, 12 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 14 replayable Mini Games, 7 Wallpapers, 15 Movie Cutscenes, 20 Collectible Portraits, 21 Morphing Objects, 20 Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, will take you to Sigiriya, Sri Lanka to find out why the agency has lost communication with an entire team of H.E.L.P field agents. These agents were deployed to supervise the restoration of a very important archaeological dig site, the site that contains the Fountain of Youth. H.E.L.P isn't the only team trying to find this snake venom, Dario Sabas Aturnin is using his wealth and questionable ethics to obtain the age altering elixir. To make matters worse, he has hired Dana Creed, one of Sam's proteges who went rouge, Sam warns that she is ruthless and dangerous! Hidden Expedition has another great action packed adventure in store for us, but searching for the Fountain of Youth could prove to be the age altering liquid that we won't live long enough to use.
Hidden Expeditions just keeps getting better and better, I do grow weary with the topic (fountain of youth searches) but I must admit, this one's the most interesting, the holy grail of all fountains! This game offers all the features you could ask for including Plus Sign inventory items, and scenes that allow you to pan left and right, or north and south. Hidden Expedition wouldn't be the same without the famous H.E.L.P. box and the 20 collectible Fact Cards that give us insight with facts about the area, the why's, what's, where's and when's so to speak. There's also 41 Hidden Sign's to search for and a whole slew of Achievements to earn as well.
The Hidden Object Scenes are multi-layered puzzles with a variety of styles, silhouetted shape finds, listed items, fragment finds and mini games within, each HOP has a Morphing Object (17 total) but I prefer the morphs to be within the game scenes because I always forget to look for them in the HOP's usually because I'm trying to earn an achievement for finding the items quickly and without mistakes.
The Mini Games are really entertaining, but I've come to expect fantastic mini games from this series. The following are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Select and drag a fist through a maze, stopping at power points along the way, before delivering a power punch.
2) A zoom zone game where you find the correct three emojis previously seen.
3) A zoom zone puzzle requiring you to place three gears on red points on a lock.
4) A zoom zone puzzle where you find 3 numbers on a combination lock that equal six.
5) Click and drag color coded token chains of various lengths until they are in their matching color coded slots.
6) Shoot a slingshot when the red dot lines up in the green zone.
7) Create a continuous path of light by rotating arrows in the correct directions.
8) Select pairs of matching symbols by clicking on two candles at a time.
9) Spot the 10 Differences in a scene with a photo previously taken.
10) Move numbered tokens to reflect numerical order.
11) A multi layered puzzle using codes, matching tokens, sliding cylinders, moving tokens by either two or five spaces at a time choosing the correct path for a ship to sail, all as you try to escape impending danger!
This Collector's Edition has 18 replayable Puzzles, 17 replayable Hidden Object Scenes with 17 Morphing Objects within the HOS, 12 Videos and 1 Bonus Video, 12 Concept Art Pictures, 8 Wallpapers, 20 Collectible Fun Fact Cards, 41 Hidden Signs, 9 Music Soundtracks, a Souvenir Room, 13 Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
