Easter wouldn't be Easter without a new Holiday Jigsaw puzzle offered from Big Fish. There are plenty of spring themed puzzles as well as the familiar bunnies, chicks, eggs and Easter decorations.
You can choose puzzles from 5 different boxes, Decorations, Spring, Family, Food and Countryside, each containing 100 puzzles with pieces ranging from 12 to 252 pieces, but any puzzle can be modified with the style of cut, the number of pieces and if you want the pieces to rotate or not.
There are helpful tools such as a hint button, a magnifying glass, and a sort icon. You can choose to start with just the border pieces, and you can store some of the pieces in the box until you need them. The puzzles picture can be ghosted as the background or you can have the actual picture shown on the top right for reference, and you can change the color of the background, gray, blue, pink or green. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

It felt like this demo would never end, I was so bored towards the end, that I left the game running and loaded the dishwasher! The tasks are dauntingly endless, and the storyline is endless too, but not in a good way, the same small story was told over and over, with nothing new added to it. The pictures and description synopsis gave me the illusion that this was going to be a fantastic game, and with today's fantastic Easter BOGO sale, I bought it before playing the demo. I should have known that a sale this good wouldn't have been offered if it was going to be a blockbuster.
You have been asked to help search for your friend Peter who went missing while searching for evidence of a Norse God. The local doctor, Claudia is Peter's wife, and the one who asked for your help. Is there a search party? No! Is Claudia too distraught to be of much help? No! In fact, she is working at the hospital, and using some pretty unethical treatment options on one of the miners that was with Peter when he disappeared. Hypnosis didn't do the trick so she uses a microscope to somehow come up with a cure for his amnesia, don't laugh, it works instantly, it's a miracle I tell ya! Now the patient, Dan, recalls that the entrance to the mine collapsed and Peter was inside, got it. Now I choose to visit the mine all by my lonesome to rescue Peter. Problem is, the generator that runs the cart to the mine needs gas and a fuse, pay no attention to the half a dozen gears spewn about the generator room, I'm sure those are just extra parts. Peter was trying to find the prison that the Norse god Hod was thrown into after shooting his brother Baldur. The legend states that Odin imprisoned Hod in an underground prison guarded by a tentacled monster, so why is he at the top of a mountain in the first place, shouldn't he be looking into the bottom of the mountain?
I will admit that this game (the second in the series, the first was released in 2016, The Minotaur's Curse) has some decent Collector's Edition features as far as the Morphing Objects go. The Morphs are very discrete, slow to morph, and the item morphing doesn't turn into something that just looks like it doesn't belong, which sticks out like a sore thumb. There are also Collectible Flamblings, and they don't blend in as well because they are little flame creatures in Orange, Blue and Purple hues, but it's not a bad feature either, and at least I don't have to tote a little Flambling around as an assistant.
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied with just about every type imaginable. There are Interactive List finds, Fragment finds, Keywords in Sentence finds, and Interactive Progressive finds where you interact with 12 items in the scene and use those items back in the scene logically to expose the next item.
The Mini Games are endless as well, none are really new, and most can be solved on the first attempt. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Connect pairs of matching colored gears by dragging chains without crossing paths.
2) Hit icicles with a slingshot when the moving target turns green.
3) Select register buttons according to the clue.
4) Find matching pairs of keys by flipping over 2 keys at a time and matching the symbols on each key.
5) Select latches to open them all, selecting one may affect others.
6) Select buttons to light up all latches, either 2 or 3 moves clockwise, or counterclockwise.
7) Select two adjacent triangles to rotate them and the steering wheel to swap them to complete the picture.
8) Use directional mirrors to direct color coded beams of light to their matching colored gem.
9) Recreate the sequence of the buttons by clicking on them until the desired symbol is shown to match the clue given.
10) Select unobstructed bars one at a time to remove them all.
11) Clear the debris in the correct order.
12) Drag colored grid pieces into the correct colored positions. Then dra the key from the left to the exit on the right side of the board.
This Collector's Edition has 18 Wallpapers, 12 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, replayable Video Movies, replayable Hidden Object Scenes and Mini Games, 20 Morphing Objects, Collectible Hidden Flamblings (7 Blue Flambling, 7 Orange Flambling, 7 Purple Flamblings) a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter. I'm sure this will delight many gamers, but for me, it was just an okay game.
I don't recommend this game.

The Unseen Fears has raised the bar with their first game, Body Thief, it's a really good game, however, it could have been fantastic, but they just had to introduce fantasy creatures and ruin the direction I thought it was taking. I don't mind fantasy creatures, when they are in a fantasy themed game, but I really thought this game was going to be a somewhat realistic game about a deranged serial killer. They could have pushed this game a little further to cross the blurred sugar coated lines, and give us an epic, never been done before genre in the BF gaming world. Why can't they? Why don't they? A simple disclosure to e-sign before downloading or purchasing is all they need to present a rated R intense psychological thriller. If that kind of game is offered, I guarantee sales would go through the roof. So, the bottom line is, this is a good game, but it's really just another game about a paranormal investigator called in to solve a crime. You are given the option to play this game in a sugar coated "dark" version complete with things that go bump in the night, or an even more sugar coated version where everything in the world is good, because that's what you want to believe, that there's no monster under the bed. I chose to see the things that go bump in the night, so far I saw a spider, and a couple of attempts intended to surprise the gamer with a couple of pop up ghosts, but nothing dramatic.
The Amsterdam police have asked for your help to solve what seems to be an unsolvable case. There has been a rash of murders that seems supernatural. All of the victims are void of skin, (and by skin, I mean all tissue because the only thing they show is a skeleton so don't get the heebie jeebies yet) but their clothes remain in tact. Your supernatural ability to see the unseen, is the only way these cases will be solved because these women have been murdered by something very supernatural. You weren't born with this ability, it was given to you as a child, by an archangel, Khepri (or perhaps he's the mothman) who saved you from drowning. Khepri taught you how to see what no one else could, but he disappeared one day as quickly as he appeared. Perhaps these cases are related to the disappearance of your cherished mentor, perhaps your search for answers lies within this case.
Your Seal is used during the investigation, to activate your supernatural abilities, and see the unseen. In the Collector's Edition version, there are 77 Hidden Symbols to search for throughout the game. Unfortunately, your abilities don't help you "see" the 77 Hidden Symbols throughout the game, because a lot of them are really difficult to "see" but that's a good thing! Your first task is to gather evidence that may help the detective solve the case. I found it kind of funny that you gather the evidence using contaminated tweezers that you found during your investigation. First of all, shouldn't you be wearing gloves? Shouldn't you have come prepared with your own tools?
The Hidden Object Scenes are creative, such as finding the correct objects to ward off your attacker's as described and shown as a Silhouetted Shape. There are also Multiples of Symbols, Silhouetted Shape finds and Zoom Zone listed item finds. You can opt for a Match 3 game instead of the HOP.
The Mini Games are usually presented in several layers, below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Connect the matching colored tiles without intersecting paths, and the entire honeycomb grid must be filled.
2) Select the facts that correctly connect the murders.
3) Match the victims with the places they were murdered, by placing photos on the crime scene.
4) Place the clues into the correct folders.
5) Find all pairs of symbols by selecting tokens to see the hidden symbols.
6) Rotate groups of tokens until they omit a beam of light.
7) Untangle the threads.
8) Press the button when all blue spheres are in the target zone to shoot.
The Collector's Edition has 14 Achievements to earn, replayable Mini Games and Hidden Object Scenes, 77 Hidden Symbols, 8 Music Soundtracks, Movies, 10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art pictures, a built in Strategy Guide, and 2 Bonus Chapters (Being Human and New Crime Murder In Alley) enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I love a great classic Match 3 game where you swap tiles to make matches of three or more identical tiles, my personal favorite is the Cradle of Rome series. I'm not a fan of the Chain type match 3 game where you click and drag a chain of identical tiles, but if done right, they can turn out to be decent such as Cradle of Persia. My least favorite is the Group Match 3 game type like this game, where you click on groups of identical tiles, in this case, groups of mould shapes.
This game was annoying on so many levels, starting with the techno music, and ending with the very annoying countdown timer. Not only is this a limited moves game, but it is timed as well, double whammy! The first several levels are tutorial levels, and Mr. Tisnart himself explains every little detail about the game, with bubbles of his avatar popping up one after another. How he managed to make a simple Match 3 game so complicated is beyond me, he has added so many details that it becomes mind numbing!
The basics of the game are actually pretty simple, click on groups of identical tiles to remove the specified amounts of each tile shown in the goals, within a limited amount of moves, and within the time allotted. Large groups of matches will earn you power up bonuses that will remove tiles in different configurations or colors such as 4 corner tiles, rows, columns or all of the same color.
You can see the results of each level which tells you the best group match made, how many cards you earned, your unused moves amount, click accuracy, level time, points earned and your best time. You can click on the heart icon to mark a level you really loved so that you can replay favorite levels. There are Achievements to earn in 3 categories, Progress, Challenge and Just For Fun, with a whole slew of features and useless information. I'll pass on this Match 3 game, it's really just not that fun.
I don't recommend this game.

The biggest "puzzle" is figuring out why this series is called 1001 Jigsaw World Tour! First there was America, followed by Asia, and now Europe. There aren't 1001 Continents, and there are only 500 puzzles in each edition, even if you total all three up, it doesn't have a sum of 1001, so please solve the puzzle and give me the answer!
My favorite puzzle series is 1001 (maybe there are 1001 earth's or 1001 chronicles in that one) Earth Chronicles because I prefer the earthy nature type picures. This puzzle has a large variety of European themed puzzles, with very colorful buildings, scenery, and Europeans themselves. You can even choose a resolution that will make the pictures pop on your computer screen. There are 5 different boxes available, and each box contains 100 puzzles.
You can earn Trophies for reaching goals such as playing a certain amount of hours, joining up to a million pieces, scoring a certain amount of points, solving a puzzle without making a mistake, solving various sized puzzles, or solving a puzzle without using hints, sorting, or pocket features. There are also Top Scores and personal Best score tallies.
Any of the puzzles can be modified with the number of pieces, the cut shape of the pieces and whether or not you want the pieces to rotate. There are 4 different backgrounds to choose from, pink, green, blue and grey, a box to store extra pieces until needed, a Sort option a Border only option, a Hint option and an available Magnifying glass to enlarge pieces. You can also ghost the image of the puzzle to the background or hang a picture in three different sizes.
The pictures are beautiful, but they aren't really my personal cup of tea. Lately I have been hooked on an older puzzle game called Jigsaw Mania which offers puzzles in just about every shape imaginable. My favorite puzzle shapes are small squares that snap together, which is so much more fun. You can also download your own personal photos, use them as wallpapers or even e-mail a puzzle to share with others. Wouldn't it be nice if these devs offered features like that, or anything different than these cookie cutter versions? Enjoy my fellow puzzle geeks!
I recommend this game!

Logan's Castle is the Crown Jewel of Scotland, infamous for the Logan Family Massacre, and the evil entities left behind. He who dares to enter, will surely perish, after all, several have tried and failed to return! The entire Logan family was brutally murdered and their family artifact was stolen, an artifact so valuable, they were willing to sacrifice their lives. No one knows what became of the artifact, but if your suspicions are correct, it may be in the loch that surrounds the castle grounds. You're in too deep now however, and someone or something, doesn't want you to find the artifact, in fact, it seems they don't want you to live at all, or are you already dead?
Phantasmat is my favorite series, and no other game has EVER been able to write a storyline as Phantastic as the original Phantasmat, period. One of the reasons I love this series is because the storylines are always really good, and original, and I never know if I'm alive, or dead! Mournful Loch isn't as good as as the last couple of games in the series, but I'm confident this will be a solid game from beginning to end. Another feature I love about this series is that I can always count on the Collector's Edition version to have Morphing Objects (and not just within the HOP's which most games have switched to)
The Hidden Object Scenes are multi-layered with different types such as Interactive List Phinds, Silhouetted Shape Phinds, Sketch Phinds, Multiple Phinds, and even Morphing Object Phinds, one of my personal Phavorites.
The Mini Games range from simple to complex, many of which are new or different versions. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Press arrows to move the tiles and arrange them so they match the clue shown.
2) Use the knobs to move the sliders to select pairs that comprise each symbol.
3) Select tusks to repeat the sequence shown.
4) Drag the sliders to move and focus the telescope to find the required symbols.
5) Move the teeth to the correct color coded sides using skeletal hands to move and select two teeth at a time.
6) Set the symbols on the pillar so they match the clue shown.
This Collector's Edition has 15 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 16 replayable Mini Games, 8 Concept Art pictures, 8 Wallpapers, 5 Music Soundtracks, a Souvenir Room, 11 replayable Videos, 12 Achievements to earn, 21 Morphing Objects, Collectibles, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Usually I'm not a fan of traditional Mahjong games, but I really enjoyed the variety offered in the last game, Winter Mahjong. Forest Mahjong, amazingly has different types then Winter Mahjong had!
You can choose to play in Casual mode for a relaxing, untimed game, Normal, Expert and you can tweak all of these features in Custom Mode. In Custom mode you can set the amount of time you want it to take to recharge hint and shuffle features, whether you want free tiles highlighted, and if you want a bonus for remaining time.
In Traditional Mahjong, you match identical tiles with the goal of removing all Gold tiles to win. In Logic Triple Mahjong, the goal is to match 2 tiles that are logically related to 2 tiles in the bottom frame. Find a Pair Mahjong requires you to locate the same pair within each layer. In 5 Second Mahjong you must remove tiles one by one that match the tile in the frame which changes every 5 seconds. Memory Mahjong is where you flip over two tiles at a time to try to find matching pairs and the last game offered is Domino Mahjong where you must select tiles that are identical in color and the sum must equal seven.
The tiles are beautiful, the music isn't bad, all in all, this is one of the better Mahjong games, even though, as I stated earlier, I've never really been a fan of this genre, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Penguin Rescue has some unique challenges and someone put their thinking cap on when they created this Match 3 game. When I first started playing this game, I hated it because it seemed far too easy to meet the goal requirements. In fact, I scored 3 stars in at least the first 20 levels and received on average 110K points on each level. I stuck with the game because of one particular feature that's bound to make the upcoming levels more challenging. Every time you make a match, the tiles do a shuffle as they move into different positions, usually ruining what could have been an epic setup! On the negative end, you cannot make a move quickly or back to back until all tiles have repositioned or explosions finish doing their thing.
Most of the level goals require you to make matches over the sand tiles within a specific number of moves, but some levels require you to make matches of specific Penguins in various amounts. Large matches or T & L shaped matches will give you power-ups on the board which are color specific such as Penguin Bombs, Directional Bombs or Color Coded bombs. There are also Candy Canes to destroy shields and penguins or a bonus of +5 Moves available as well. Before the start of each level, you can choose which Boosters you want to use once the Booster has been unlocked. In the Demo, the Ice Cream Cone and Snow Cannon are eventually available. The Ice Cream Cone destroys 3 lines of obstacles and penguin's and the Snow Cannon shoots snowballs to destroy 3 random tiles, once you activate the feature in a match.
After every three levels you can search for a Hidden Object as shown as a quest, somewhere on the Level Map, at first the objects are obvious, but become increasingly more difficult to locate. If you don't mind a "Limited Moves" type Match 3 game, this is one that can be enjoyed by the entire family. Stick with the entire demo before making a decision because it does become more challenging once Obstacles are introduced and fewer large matches are obtainable, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Thirty miles off the coast of England, lies the infamous Forsaken Isle. Folks around here know that once you step foot upon the island, you will never return, because this island is home to ghosts, necromancers, and man-eating wolves. It is also home to Lady Annabel and her star crossed lover Vincent. Lady Annabel has been coming to you in your dreams, begging for your help to escape her never ending torment. And of course your curiosity compels you to the Forsaken Isle, but you know what they say about curiosity killing the cat, will you be the Isle's next victim?
This is a fantastic Standard Edition game, with decent graphics and voiceovers, not to mention all of the extra content available. There are 8 collectible pages from Annabelle's Diary, 9 Tormented Souls, 12 Claw Marks and 8 Character's Biography pages to unlock. There are also Wallpapers and Concept Art offered.
The Hidden Object Scenes are good, but they are repeated in the same scene, usually with a different type, like an Interactive List find followed by Silhouetted Shape finds. This game does allow you to skip the HOP's which is a rarity in most adventure games. I thought the graphics were less clear within the HOP's than in the main game.
The Mini Games are actually fun and not too easy or difficult. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Swap horizontal tile strips to recreate a picture.
2) Use directional arrows to guide several color coded ships to their matching ports using anchors and other ships as bumpers.
3) Rotate the ships wheel using the center symbol as a clue to turn the wheel in the correct direction and the correct number of revolutions.
This may only be a Standard Edition version, but it has a lot of extras including 8 Character Bios, 9 Tormented Souls, 8 Annabel's Diary Pages, 12 Claw Marks, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 10 Wallpapers, and 3 Music Soundtracks. I didn't hesitate to use a coupon for this little gem, it's well worth it, enjoy!

This game is very similar to Maggie's Movies, only this one takes place on a farm in the middle of nowhere, and the graphics aren't as good. To me, the story seems absurd, a young graduate decides to turn her parents farm into a movie studio, and gets disappointed when well known actors refuse to partake. Does this persuade Lisa to call it quits and drive to the city to apply for a job? Nooo, she begins with lower expectations, and lesser known actors who don't seem to mind that their studio is in a corn crib and the dressing room was where the poor cow slept at night.
This is a very simplistic Time Management game with little challenge offered. You click and drag the color coded actors to the dressing room, select the correct costume as shown in the mirror, click the "prepare" button, wait till they are done being prepared, drag the prepared actor to the color coded shed, I mean studio, and wait for them to have a tantrum. Yes every actor has a tantrum and you'll need to put your foot down and stop the tantrum, a simple click on the shed is all it takes to save the day. In the meantime, you will fetch the director several microphones and cameras, and drag the janitors and electricians to clean up the messes presumably made during said tantrums.
You can play this game in Easy or Normal modes, and there are 37 Achievements to earn. You can purchase several upgrades to make things a little easier, however, there's a catch 22, because there is a point limit, so you will have to purchase an upgrade in order to earn more points. For me, this game was easy and became boring very quickly, there are much better TM games available in my opinion.
I don't recommend this game.
