It's no secret, I'm a jigsaw puzzle freaky geek, my favorite series is 1001 Earth Chronicles because I prefer the earthy nature type picures. This puzzle has a large variety of Asian themed puzzles, ranging from Koi fish in a pond to delicious plates of Sushi. You can even choose a resolution that will make the pictures pop on your computer screen. There are 5 different boxes available, and each box contains 100 puzzles.
You can earn Trophies for reaching goals such as playing a certain amount of hours, joining up to a million pieces, scoring a certain amount of points, solving a puzzle without making a mistake, solving various sized puzzles, or solving a puzzle without using hints, sorting, or pocket features. There are also Top Scores and personal Best score tallies.
Any of the puzzles can be modified with the number of pieces, the cut shape of the pieces and whether or not you want the pieces to rotate. There are 4 different backgrounds to choose from, pink, green, blue and grey, a box to store extra pieces until needed, a Sort option a Border only option, a Hint option and an available Magnifying glass to enlarge pieces. You can also ghost the image of the puzzle to the background or hang a picture in three different sizes.
In the last edition, World Tour America, they changed the background music for the first time ever, to a native american type soundtrack, and this one has Asian themed music, which is so much better than the previous soundtrack that is offered in just about all puzzle themed game. The pictures are beautiful, but they aren't really my personal cup of tea. Lately I have been hooked on an older puzzle game called Jigsaw Mania which offers puzzles in just about every shape imaginable. My favorite puzzle shapes are small squares that snap together, which is so much more fun. You can also download your own personal photos. Wouldn't it be nice if these devs offered features like that, or anything different than these cookie cutter versions? Enjoy my fellow puzzle geeks!
I recommend this game!

When a new museum exhibit began omitting strange noises, Diana went to investigate the giant stone disc. In the blink of an eye, the disk discharged an eerie beam of energy that grabbed Diana and yanked her into another realm. At first glance, Diana thought the portal had landed her into the past, inside a Mayan Temple, but now she's not so sure that she's still on Earth! Even scarier, the portal that brought her here, won't be taking her back home, because the portal has been ripped to shreds!
Just a few Collector's Editions ago, I made the comment that collectibles and morphs are way too easy to find because the cursor changes to a giant hand and shouts "here I am" I said it would be awesome if there were an option to turn off the "here I am" cursor to make finding the collectibles more challenging, and that's exactly what this awesome game has offered in the custom setting mode of the CE version! Speaking of which, if you love interesting collectibles as much as I do, you're going to want to opt for the Collector's Edition, because there are a ton of collectibles: 7 Pyramids, 7 Diety Statuettes, 8 Decorated Skulls, 8 Stone Heads, and 12 Clay Flasks that gives you the history of the Endless River Valley AND unlocks 20 levels of additional mini games! There are also 30 Morphing Objects that will also unlock a puzzle in the bonus section if you find all of them, this is one of the few CE versions that actually gives you your money's worth when it comes to "extra's"
The Hidden Object Scenes are far and few between, but mostly Interactive, Progressive Silhouetted Shape Finds that require you to find objects that match the silhouetted shapes shown, and use those items back into the scene interactively to expose the next object and so forth, as well as solving small puzzles within the scenes.
The Mini games are clever and are all about stone Mayan type stone puzzles. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Rotate the cubes to arrange them correctly according to the clues you found.
2) Use the arrow buttons to spin the circle until the blue ball moves to the blue button.
3) Use the buttons and circles to rotate the statue parts and restore the images on them.
4) Rotate the circles to move all the green crystals to the central circle.
5) Arrange the hands to the correct positions according to the clue you found.
6) Rotate the discs and move the horizontal bar to arrange the balls as indicated on the pattern.
7) Repeat the pattern by opening and closing the beetles.
The Collector's Edition has 9 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art pictures, 18 Videos, 8 Music Soundtracks, 21 Achievements, 18 replayable Mini Games, 6 replayable puzzles (others can be unlocked) Collectibles to unlock more Mini Games, 8 Story Scrolls to unlock history story, 30 Morphing Objects, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

After 20 years in prison, Stephon Astor has served his sentence and is now a free man. The question is, are the men responsible for his imprisonment free? Francois Charlie from the Secret Service has asked you to conduct an investigation at the Maronite Monastery. Eight Monks disappeared shortly after Stephon Astor was released from the Temple prison, and the citizens are demanding answers after seeing 8 freshly dug graves the following morning! If Stephon Astor is responsible for the death's of these Monk's, why would he commit such a heinous crime against these innocent men of faith? Perhaps they aren't so innocent, and perhaps you are working for the wrong side, who knows? Whoever is responsible, he has a clear message, "He who is born in fire, shall die in it"......
I just don't get it. Haunted Legends games are all the same, and they all have forgettable storylines. Do you remember what the last game was about? Offhand I don't, I can remember bits and pieces of several of their games, but none of their games stand out, and not one of them fall into my "gotta have" game list. The graphics are always the same, they always take place at night, the buildings always look the same and the characters always look and sound the same. The dog is always going to be heard barking in the quiet ambiance of the evening (which btw can be heard in the distance even though I'm standing two feet from a rioting mob) How many ways can this game present the same story? They all involve a single man who systematically pecks off one citizen at a time, and it always turns out to be because the citizens are corrupt, and the victims are usually Mayors, members of a Secret Society, or Wealthy, so who is it this time, bet I can guess!
In the Collector's Edition, there are 35 Collectible Tokens which allows you to rebuild the Family Castle heired to you, and there are 34 Morphing Objects as well as the usual Achievements to earn. So far, I have not had to use one of those memory catchers that most of these games feature, but I'm sure I'll need one eventually.
The Hidden Object Scenes have items that are way too small in my opinion, just another reason to give this game an average rating. There are Interactive Silhouetted Shape finds, Fragmented object finds and even zoom zone HOP's with Multiples of a single item finds. The only creative HOP offered in the demo was finding 3 symbols related to each paragraph in a story.
The Mini Games are average, some super simple, some are available in Casual or Hard modes of difficulty. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Restore the image by rotating two rings around a stationary center circle.
2) Drag the marble along the chute from top to bottom without touching the walls, to ring a bell.
3) Arrange the tokens so they match and line up with their corresponding symbols.
4) Release all the fingers by clicking on them, clicking one finger may affect other fingers.
5) Open the gate by swapping stars with different amounts of points according to the clue.
6) Arrange the white disk symbols according to the symbol pattern shown on the cage.
7) Open all drawers by replacing the missing portraits, using tools you find inside of the drawers to help you progress.
8) Click on directional arrows to gain enough momentum to swing towards a knife conveniently placed.
9) Adjust lock pillars to clear a path from fist to shield.
The Collector's Edition has 35 collectible Tokens to purchase parts for the family castle, 34 Morphing Objects, Wallpapers, Concept Art pictures, 4 Screensavers, 4 Music Soundtracks, replayable Hidden Object Scenes and Mini Games, Achievements to earn, Movies, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure. Honestly, the last two games in this series have vastly improved in the plot department, but nothing else offered, is new or exciting, pick any one of these games, you probably won't notice the difference.
I don't recommend this game.

H.E.L.P is on it's way! Waradi Tayal is in dire need of the agency when a valuable pearl is stolen from his Pearl Farm in Fiji. This is no ordinary pearl, this pearl belonged to the great Marco Polo, and is said to extraordinary powers. Marco Polo entrusted the pearl to his trusted friend, Peter Tayal, before passing away, and the Tayal family has protected the Pearl for generations. The Tayal family knows that the Zambetti family will do anything to possess the pearls powers, because, the Zambetti's never forget, and never forgive!
First of all, I'd like to know how Peter knows the pearl has been stolen if the burglars have rigged the door and he hasn't found a way to get inside yet? Secondly, how did I (aka H.E.L.P. agent) travel all the way to Fiji once I received the distressed call, so fast that the thieves were still in the building? That must be the world's fastest helicopter! Thirdly, why is a pearl farmer a partner with the agency? He's obviously not an agent or he would have done his own agent dirty work, and I'm pretty confident that pearls are not a commodity used by the agency. Besides the absence of logic, I found this latest edition of Hidden Expedition to be a little slow moving, and at times, boring. I fear that this series may be in trouble, because they just aren't as epic as they once were. HE used to offer games that were heart pounding adventures, with a sense of urgency and a dash of danger. They made you feel the need to escape the danger, dodge the bad guys, and nab the thieves, but lately, they are just another game, just another story.
In this Collector's Edition there are the usual Achievements to earn, and the usual Fact Cards to collect, that give you interesting facts about different cultures or items used. There is a Hidden Sign in each location scene, and a Morphing Object within most of the Hidden Object Scenes.
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied with just about every type imaginable. Listed Item finds, Keywords in Sentences, Interactive Silhouetted Shape finds, and Riddle Sketch finds. Twelve of the HOP's have a Morphing Object to find, as indicated by an icon.
The Mini Games are decent, some of which are new. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Enter the code, using symbols as a clue.
2) Clear a path for the cable to plug into the left outlet, using directional arrows to move the blue switches that aren't blocked.
3) Use clues on a computer to find important year dates, and then find on a number grid.
4) Use a scale to measure the pearls and place them into the correct boxes.
5) Hover over the cross hairs which glow green if you are on the correct path.
5) Pull each parachute cord in the correct sequence shown.
This Collector's Edition has 16 replayable Mini Games, 12 replayable Hidden Object Scenes with a Morphing Object, 11 Videos, 9 Music Soundtracks, 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, a Souvenir Room, 23 Achievements to earn, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

I usually love this type of Time Management game, where you have to make decisions, versus the kind where you simply click on one item after another to clear a path. The problem with this game, is that there isn't enough time to read the information, much less enough time to make a decision before the next ship says alright an sets sail. It's also very difficult to tell which port belongs to which station.
Basically, you are in the business of buying and selling boats. When a ship arrives, you click on it (before the meter fills or they will say bon voyage) and a window will pop up to give you pertinent information about the ship and it's owner, and the price. You can accept the offer or decline. After purchasing the ship, you click once again to see what repairs the ship will need before you can sell it. Then you must drag the ship to the correct shipyard port, such as the Sailmaker, and wait for the ship to be repaired. Assuming the ship is only in need of one repair, you must then drag the repaired ship to the selling pier and wait again for an interested buyer. When an exclamation mark appears above the ship, you click on the ship to read information about the offer being made, and once again, you can accept the offer or decline, and wait for a better offer hopefully.
While you wait for repairs or sales, you will also have to purchase materials such as wood from the sawmill, while a whole barrage of ships begin piling up, one after another, making it nearly impossible to read any information which seems to be an important aspect of the business. This made the game too stressful for my personal taste.
I don't recommend this game.

The Kingdoms of Tar have only recently begun to experience peace and tranquility. Wars raged for hundreds of years, White magic versus Dark magic, Good against Evil, those who sought to control the defenseless, against those who sought to defend the defenseless. That was over seventy years ago, and Dark magic is forbidden, and those born with the gift of magic, must attend the School of Witchcraft to learn to control their precious gift. Still, there are those who live on the fringe of society, refusing to conform, refusing to control the magic within. They call these nomads, the Apostates, and these rebels may very well be responsible for the casting a very dark spell, a spell that turns people into a tree. Someone has planted a Dark Seed into a White magic society!
This is where your particular skills as a healer come into play, because your magic makes you medically immune. Your mentor, Dr. Klein, has summoned you to treat Teresa, an Imperial maidservant, the first victim of a horrifying spell that slowly transforms a person into a tree, Equipped only with a Healer's Kit and Diagnostic Lens, you're ready to face any medical emergency this kingdom throws at you, once you whip up a magical potion recipe and play a mini game of course! In this Collector's Edition version, there are 15 collectible Busts of Famous Doctor's, 15 collectible Museum of Medicine Artifact's, and 69 Crystals to collect which allows you to buy animals in your Zoological Garden. There are also Journal Notes to discover throughout the game, but I'm assuming these notes are available in both editions.
The Hidden Object Scenes are a bit scarce in the demo, and there is an optional Match 3 game available as well. The first HOP is multi-layered with finding 4 colored gems, and then finding items that match the keywords in each sentence as a story is being told. There is a small Zoom Zone HOP available too, which requires you to find multiples of an item and then match them to each other.
The Mini Games were good, but nothing really complicated or new. Most of the Mini Games are available in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Assemble the emblem by swapping 2 pieces.
2) Press symbols in the correct order using the clues in the book as a reference.
3) Swap Portraits so each frame fits into the silhouetted shape left on the wall.
4) Trap the purple bacteria in the center by rotating groups of green pills.
5) Drag the lens around to discover infected areas on the patient, and click on them.
6) Eliminate all but one chip by selecting any chip positioned between a matching pair.
7) Place each recipe ingredient where they logically belong and then select the start button to see which ingredients are correct.
8) Uncover the picture to open a portal. Position the arrow tiles to guide the slider over every cell on the board, then select play to test your solution.
This Collector's Edition has 10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art pictures, 35 Achievements to earn, 5 Music Soundtracks, 15 Museum of Medicine Artifacts to collect, 15 Famous Doctor's Busts, 69 hidden Crystals to purchase 9 Zoological Garden critters, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

This is a Match 3 type game, only way more complex and a bit frustrating at that. Each Block consists of 4 parts, and can be destroyed by rotating them in a 3D manner so that at least one side matches the same color as the Block beside it, above it or below it. There are 12 Achievements to earn and just under a hundred levels total.
There are Fixed Blocks that can't rotate, Shield Blocks that require several connections, Rock Blocks that requires matching colors several times, Ice Blocks that require you to hold the left button over it until it melts, Spider Webs that will spread it's web if you don't click on them soon enough, Balloons that can't be destroyed but eventually burst, and Metal Blocks that are destroyed under the heavy weight of other Blocks. Stars can be collected for extra points, Hearts give you energy which decreases with every mistake, Skulls should be avoided as well because it will cause your energy to decrease.
With the Coins you earn, you can purchase Gloves for extra lives, an Iron Gun to accelerate the decomposition of Metal Blocks, Barb Wire will instantly burst balloons, or you can Triple the value of your Coins. In my book, this game is just okay, not super exciting or fun, and certainly more frustrating than a regular type Match 3 game.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm on the fence with Forgotten Relics, the latest edition to The Far Kingdoms series. They have made vast improvements in the graphics department, and added a few new features, but the solitaire levels themselves, are super easy. In fact, I received perfect scores on the first attempt, for the first 14 levels! I have purchased every game in this series, and they are all entertaining, so I'm going to go with my gut instinct and assume that this game will become more challenging as I progress.
You can play this Higher/Lower Solitaire game in a Timed or Untimed mode, which is a new feature for this series, and a feature I've never seen done before on a solitaire game. I haven't quite figured out all the logistics with this feature, but from what I can tell, the timer keeps ticking, and stops when you end the level, but, it seems that it picks up where you left off. So I'm not sure if it resets after 10 levels, a new chapter or what, because to be honest, I kept forgetting to look at the timer. If you replay a level, the clock does NOT reset! Bonus levels are unlocked with each main level you complete, and are shown at the bottom. You can play the Bonus levels at anytime, to receive Badges or Trophies, another new and unique feature.
Before the start of each level, you can choose up to 3 Bonus Features. You must first purchase the bonus of your choice, and how many of each feature you want by clicking the plus sign, then you can select which three to access on that level. The Bonuses are Jokers (a wild card) Dragon Flame (removes a card of your choice) Dragon's Claw (removes 2 cards) Fire Arrow (opens 3 random cards) Dragon's Eye (let's you see the next deck card) 5 (gives you five extra cards in the deck) Undo ( give's you an extra undo) and Eternal Twirl (reshuffles the cards).
Most levels have a Crystal Card which can be clicked on once uncovered, and used to Upgrade the Kingdom's during the adventure. The only negative about this feature is that you don't get to choose which upgrade you want, it simply tells you how many crystals are required for the next upgrade, and something shiny is added to the castle or the grounds surrounding them. Some levels also have Jokers mixed within the board cards that can be used as a wildcard, and is helpful because some Locked cards require a number specific Combo (such as a combo of 8 consecutive cards) There are also blocked cards that require you to uncover a tool such as a sword card to cut the vines blocking card groups or a hammer card to break the stone blocked cards.
This is an entertaining Solitaire game, with some really interesting features, hopefully, after the demo, the levels will become more challenging, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I loved the first Zombie Solitaire but there were a couple of features that I hated, one of which, was not being able to repeat any of the levels to achieve a perfect score. Zombie Solitaire 2 however, not only allows you to repeat the levels as often as you want, but they have added so many "out of the box thinking" features, that I had to have it!
In the first Zombie Solitaire, the infamous Tofu Burger, had created a Zombie Virus known as Z1. After surviving all the zombie attacks, you finally made your way to a remote island, seemingly unaffected. Unfortunately, someone obviously snuck in a Tofu Burger, and now you must escape the island and make your way through thousands of zombies. Rumor has it that citizens are being rescued, but you must make it safely to the helicopter landing site, a mere 100 levels away.
This is a Higher/Lower type Solitaire game where you try to make large chains of cards either one higher or one lower than the last card. Each card played will give you coins that fall down and bounce all over the place. Large chains will fill the Combo Meter to earn more points. You can use the coins earned to purchase Bonus Cards and Wildcards, or purchase New cards and Backgrounds. When you earn 3 Stars on a level, you will earn a Redo feature, and if you use a redo and replay the level, you will get the redo back as if you haven't played that level yet. Each level (after tutorial levels) will have a Wildcard to earn once uncovered, and the Wildcards are Number Specific. Throughout the 100 + levels you can earn Sticker Achievements, once you collect all Stickers in a category, you will earn extra points.
In the Shop section, you can buy cards that will help you win, especially as you progress because the levels are harder and you get fewer deck cards to use. There is a Zombie Slap card which removes a card of your choice, a Zombie Killer card which removes 2 zombies, a Zombie Blaster which removes an entire row of zombie cards, and a Zombie Joker which can be used as any card of your choice. There will be Foul Card Blockers that require finding the card to remove it such as a Bird Gun to remove pesky Infected Birds, Machete Cards to remove the Jungle Cards, and Bolt Cutters to remove Chained Cards.
One of my favorite features in this game was Making Choices along the way. You will come across different people who are asking for help, which sidelines your own goals. You can choose whether or not to "help" them or keep on trucking. After a few levels, you can play Mini Games and Hidden Object/Fragment Scenes. The Match 3 game is actually quite fun and available in Limited or Unlimited Moves modes, requiring you to Swap specific tiles in order to destroy Zombies before they come after your BWAINS!!
I recommend this game!

Mad Head games are light years ahead of most devs when it comes to originality in a storyline. The Cadenza series is a perfect example of their "out of the box thinking", although I don't think they have been able to top their first game's plot, Music, Betrayal, Death. When the Collector's Edition version of this game was first released, I bought it, sight unseen, because I was confidant that Mad Head would deliver another solid performance, and Fame, Theft and Murder came through with flying colors! The chapter immediately following the demo section, was a little bit slow and monotonous, but then the action picks back up and becomes more interesting. I usually enjoy the features offered within the CE versions, but for the price difference, this Standard Edition may be more appealing, so here's what you'll find in both editions, for comparison:
Guitarist, Mike Valance has returned to his hometown to perform in a rock 'n roll concert that will go down in history! As soon as the curtains are drawn, Mike is attacked by an angry deranged man, who challenges him to a duel, of guitars that is. Mike accepts Adam's challenge, and the audience gets treated to a life changing jamming session performance! Quite literally, because Adam has put a voodoo curse upon Mike, who is now Adam, and Adam is now Mike! This supernatural body snatching scenario gets even more complicated for Mike, when he discovers that Adam is a wanted man, for murder! Mike's only saving grace, comes from an unlikely source, and he only has a mere 12 hours to reverse the curse, tic, tock, the clock's ticking!
I like the storyline Cadenza has chosen with this game, but I'm not so impressed with the graphics In the first Cadenza game offered, the graphics were sharp, crisp and colorful, and the details just popped with impressiveness. The colors in this game, however, just don't pop. Think back with the original Cadenza that incorporated all the sights and sounds of New Orleans nightlife, which completely immersed you into the adventure, this game simply doesn't do that for you. In the Collector's Edition's version, there isn't much to offer, other than the staple extras of achievements, concept art and wallpapers, there are only two types of collectibles, each scene has a Hidden Vinyl Record, and eventually you will collect Characters with bios, so this Standard Edition is probably the better route.
The Hidden Object Scenes aren't the same as the one's offered previously in the Cadenza series, but in the CE version, they still offer Morphing Objects in each HOP. Most are multi-layered with Interactive List finds, Replacing items back in the scene, and Silhouetted Shape finds. Some items have puzzle fragments behind the items you find and small puzzles to solve within.
The Mini Games are decent, but tend to be on the easy breezy side, which offers little challenge. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Connect the dots to draw the shape Adam plays on the guitar, without passing the same line twice, with three different shapes total.
2) Rearrange the tiles to complete the symbol.
3) Rearrange the fins on the rocket to match the colors shown.
4) Rearrange the items so that they match the timeline written on the list.
5) Select the interactions of the strings to complete the code according to the clue shown.
6) Slide the gems and move the metal combs so the matching pair of stones are aligned vertically.
7) Place the strings in the correct order according to the music Sheet.
The Collector's Edition has 9 Achievements to earn, 26 Wallpapers, 16 Concept Art pictures, 13 Music Soundtracks, Character Bios, 38 Hidden Vinyl Record Albums, 34 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, a Record Hunt game, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!
