The Kingdoms of Tar have only recently begun to experience peace and tranquility. Wars raged for hundreds of years, White magic versus Dark magic, Good against Evil, those who sought to control the defenseless, against those who sought to defend the defenseless. That was over seventy years ago, and Dark magic is now strickly forbidden, and those born with the gift of magic, must attend the School of Witchcraft to learn to control their precious gift. Still, there are those who live on the fringe of society, refusing to conform, refusing to control the magic within. They call these nomads, the Apostates, and these rebels may very well be responsible for the casting of a very dark spell, a spell that turns ordinary people into a tree. Someone has planted a Dark Seed into a White magic society!
This is where your particular skills as a healer come into play, because your magic makes you medically immune. Your mentor, Dr. Klein, has summoned you to treat Teresa, an Imperial maidservant, the first victim of a horrifying spell that slowly transforms a person into a tree! Equipped only with a Healer's Kit and Diagnostic Lens, you're ready to face any medical emergency this kingdom throws at you, once you whip up a magical potion recipe and play a mini game of course! In the Collector's Edition version, there are 15 collectible Busts of Famous Doctor's, 15 collectible Museum of Medicine Artifact's, and 69 Crystals to collect which allows you to buy animals for your Zoological Garden. There are also Journal Notes to discover throughout the game.
The Hidden Object Scenes are a bit scarce in the demo, and there is an optional Match 3 game available as well. The first HOP is multi-layered with finding 4 colored gems, and then finding items that match the keywords in each sentence as a story is being told. There is a small Zoom Zone HOP available too, which requires you to find multiples of an item and then match them to each other.
The Mini Games were good, but nothing really complicated or new. Most of the Mini Games are available in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Assemble the emblem by swapping 2 pieces.
2) Press symbols in the correct order using the clues in the book as a reference.
3) Swap Portraits so each frame fits into the silhouetted shape left on the wall.
4) Trap the purple bacteria in the center by rotating groups of green pills.
5) Drag the lens around to discover infected areas on the patient, and click on them.
6) Eliminate all but one chip by selecting any chip positioned between a matching pair.
7) Place each recipe ingredient where they logically belong and then select the start button to see which ingredients are correct.
8) Uncover the picture to open a portal. Position the arrow tiles to guide the slider over every cell on the board, then select play to test your solution.
The Collector's Edition has 10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art pictures, 35 Achievements to earn, 5 Music Soundtracks, 15 Museum of Medicine Artifacts to collect, 15 Famous Doctor's Busts, 69 hidden Crystals to purchase 9 Zoological Garden critters, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

How exciting! After winning first prize in her local sticker book contest, Amanda has decided to go pro, and enter her sticker books in an international contest. The prize is a trip around the world, so she visits the zoo for inspiration. Who knew you could go professional with a book filled with stickers? Are there sponsors? Will she get paid for collecting stickers? So many questions I have and so few Match 3 answers!
This game isn't much different than the first Match 3 game, Amanda's Stickers, and has the same problem, unless you're a teenage girl interested in stickers, (not saying it's bad, just not a broad enough genre interest) you probably won't find this game that interesting.
The goals are given at the beginning of each level such as, clearing all brown tiles, collecting a certain amount of specific element resources, or releasing red diamond hearts by dropping them to the bottom of the board. You will earn bonuses as you progress, same old same old such as a hammer to clear a single tile, a bomb to clear groups and a resource Collector to clear all tiles of the same type of your choice. These goals must be completed within the metered time allotted. After each level you will use the resources collected to purchase upgrades to you sticker book.
There are 5 sticker books in total, Wild Jungle, Amazon River, Deep Sea, Freezing Tundra and African Savanna. These upgrades allow you to progress, and they also give you fun facts about the animal displayed on the sticker.
Some tiles are in a bubble which can be clicked to collect, the resource inside the bubble changes constantly, so you'll want to wait for the necessary element to appear before popping it. Matching groups of elements will fill the manna meter and 5 elements are needed to buy upgrades. Elements are anything except the candy tiles such as diamonds, animals, brown tiles and spiders. Some of the tiles have ropes or several ropes requiring you to make matches to free the tile and some of the brown tiles are doubled up requiring two matches to clear. This game isn't horrible, it just doesn't have anything that interests me personally, perhaps it will for you.
I don't recommend this game.

This is a really cool Solitaire game with really interesting and unique features. The problem is, after about 15 minutes of gameplay, the "warrants" you serve become more of a pain than an excitement. I quickly grew weary of the constant necessity of returning to Headquarters to issue a warrant, then clicking a location to play a solitaire game, back to headquarters etc. and I became super annoyed with the flashing messages at the bottom of the screen.
The crimes are stupid crimes for a reason, Topley is a nearly crime-free city, so the police decide to reinstate some of the cities ancient laws and bylaws to give them better arrest statistics. Headquarters will need to be visited frequently on the map, to access your computer, issue warrants and solve crimes. Your office desk also holds the 20 award Trophies available. Several Locations are available on the map to visit, Headquarters has a blue push pin, Solitaire locations have a yellow push pin.
You will read about a crime committed in the local newspaper, such as driving without shoes, or poking roadkill with a stick. You will choose an available location to play Solitaire, to earn money that is necessary to issue the warrants, Once you have enough money to issue a warrant (the further you progress, the more games you'll have to play per level) you will visit headquarters to read a clue that will eliminate at least one suspect, such as, suspect watches a lot of tv. You read the profiles of each suspect, and then drag the clues to the suspects that don't match that profile such as, suspect has no tv (to eliminate them) Whoever is remaining, will be issued a warrant. After that, you read about another crime, and repeat the process
As you progress, by solving crimes, you will rank up in experience. The more you rank up, the more Bonuses you will qualify. In the demo, the only bonus you receive is an Undo feature. You will earn an extra Undo for every game completed with a Perfect status. There are 8 different colors available for the cards, or you can choose Random, which changes the color of the deck randomly for each level. You can play in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode, and you can replay all levels as often as you want, to try to earn a perfect score. You will earn bonus points for long chains, and there is a Full House bonus available if you play all cards from Ace to King within the same chain.
I enjoyed playing the demo of a different kind of Solitaire game, but it isn't a game I'd be interested in buying. It's fun at first, but in the long run, I really just want to play a relaxing game of Solitaire, not solve stupid crimes.
I don't recommend this game.

When Chimeras released their first game of the series, Tune of Revenge, it was an epic game that had an original storyline, and fantastic graphics. The proof is in the BF pudding, and it received rave reviews, averaging 4.7 Stars out of 5! Since then, Chimeras games have been average games with average ratings, The Signs of Prophecy 3.9, Cursed and Forgotten 3.8, Mortal Medicine 3.9. They are likeable games, but not epic games like Tune of Revenge, there's nothing about this game that sets it apart from the others, an easily forgettable game. One thing I've noticed with this series is that the graphics aren't as good as they were in the first and second episodes, but the biggest mistake this series has made, is with the Chimeras themselves. Actually it's with the lack of the Chimeras, Mortal Medicine only mentioned the Chimeras in the entire demo, and Mark of Death is centered around Chimeras Markers! Who cares about a token of death when a flying 3 headed beast could get the job done better, a much more interesting plot don't you think?
Twelve years ago, Thomas was found guilty of murdering two Royal Guards when he stole a Royal Relic. Thomas was executed, and his wife died shortly afterwards after giving birth to their baby. Now, the people involved in the case, are receiving the Chimera Mark of Death token, and one by one are meeting their demise. You're services are requested to solve this suspicious case after the Prosecutor of the case, Victor, received the Marker and perished shortly afterward. The Judge is about to be Judged, when he too receives a Marker, can you find the person responsible in time?
The Hidden Object Scenes aren't really that impressive, but they are varied with Interactive List finds, Uncovering Pairs of items, and i new type that was the most interesting of all of them, Filling in the Blanks by finding objects that fit into the sentence logically.
The Mini Games are plentiful, and easily solved on the first attempt. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Use up and down arrows to bend a hairpin to push pins to the red line.
2) Match pulse points dots.
3) Repeat the sequence demonstrated.
4) Untie knots by sliding to end of the rope in correct order.
5) Rotate cylinder segments to create a pattern.
6) Rotate and drag bells along a track to their color coded slots.
7) Rotate disk rings to complete the picture.
8) Swap tiles to create color coded lines that don't cross each other.
9) Swap vertical picture tiles.
10) Shoot 5 targets when the marker is in green zone.
11) Move blocks to clear a path for the gold key block.
12) Flip over two dowels at a time to match identical numbers.
This Collector's Edition has 26 Morphing Objects, 12 Collectible Magic Cards, 48 Hidden Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces to assemble 4 twelve piece Screensavers, 8 Wallpapers 12 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, a Secret Room, 21 Achievements to earn, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter. Try Tune of Revenge instead!
I don't recommend this game.

The wealthy industrialist, Nicholas McCullen, was found dead in his office this morning. Your team of investigators must search for clues to determine if Mr. McCullens' death was an accident, suicide or a murder! (cue music....dunt dunt dun) How do you investigate? By playing three different types of Solitaire games, of course!
You can choose Regular Simple Cards or Themed Cards which have various weapons or investigative equipment on them. You can choose from 3 different types of Solitaire games, or you can choose to have all 3 Mixed together. The first type is Pair Solitaire which requires you to match pairs of cards either with each other or with the deck card, suit doesn't matter. The second type is 14 Sum Solitaire which requires you to select two cards whose sum is 14 when added together. The third type is Traditional Solitaire where you choose cards that are one number Higher or one number Lower than the previous card, with the goal of trying to make as large of a chain as possible to boost the multiplier bar.
You choose which Agent you want according to the type of Solitaire game you want to play, The Investigation part begins as you play Solitaire hands until you earn the required amount of Gold Clue cards. Once you uncover the Gold card, a single click will remove them, and unlike many Solitaire games with a Gold Card feature, you continue to play until all cards have been removed, or attempt to remove them. In other words, you don't automatically win the hand just because all Gold Cards have been removed. (a feature I don't like) Once you have earned the required amount of Gold Clue Cards, you play a Reveal game of Solitaire, to find the Reveal card and read about the Clue you found and how it pertains to the investigation.
Power Booster Cards are located at the bottom left as "Agents" that can be used after they charge. You can use them to Remove any Gold Card, Remove any Closed Card, Remove ant Open Card, or add 2 Random Wild Cards. Number specific Wild Cards are available in just about every level, and stored until you need that specific number. There are the usual Blocked or Locked Cards that require you to find the Key Card such as Doors sealed with caution tape require you to uncover the Search Warrant Card, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I have worked in the pet industry since I was 17 years old, and own a successful grooming salon, so naturally, I had to check out this dog themed Solitaire game. I love the uniqueness this game offers, and the clever use of dog themed features, however, there is no option to replay levels, win or lose, so I won't be adding this game to my vast library. You can choose from 3 different modes of difficulty, Easy, Normal and Hard, and I even tried switching to Easy mode, but that mode didn't allow me to replay the levels either.
Other than that major glitch, everything else is really cool. You start out with 3 dog breeds to choose from, but eventually unlock other breeds (40 total) ranging from a teeny tiny Chihuahua, to a Shiba Inu. Each dog has different abilities and different price tags, which can be purchased with the money you earn playing this Higher/Lower style Solitaire game.
Even the Shop is dog themes as well as the bonus items offered within the "Pet Shop" Bonus Wild Cards are number specific, other items increase your dogs obedience, stamina loyalty. There are blocked cards that require a tool card to remove such as a Dig Card to break the Fence Card, or a Tennis Ball to remove the Fetch Card.
If you are a dog lover, give this one a try, it really has some unique features. If you are ocd about receiving a perfect score before moving on, like I am, then you probably won't "dig" this game. This would be a 5 star Solitaire game if there were an option to replay each hand, or even the entire 9 hand level at minimum, so for me, it's a no go because of that feature alone.

Don Diego de Leon has returned as Adelantado to colonize and expand territories of the new lands! Natives have requested help from the Spaniards, when evil priests summon a demon to subdue all territories. To break the evil curse, 4 sacred Aztec Skulls must be located, to cast a protective spell, and Master Miguel Sanchez has been chosen for this vital mission.
4 Aztec Skulls, picks up where the Adelantado Trilogy left off. If you compare apples to apples, this game doesn't hold a candle to the other three games, because this is a Time Management game and the three games of the Trilogy are Strategy based games. In Books 1-3 of Adelantado, you had to choose which buildings to build, and where to build them, based on Strategy. Because this game doesn't require a whole lot of Strategy, it may seem a bit disappointing to the diehard fans of Adelantado, but as a Time Management based game, 4 Aztec Skulls rocks!
You can choose from four different difficulty modes, Relaxed, Easy, Normal and Hard, and you can earn Gold, Silver or Bronze awards for each level. The goal is to complete the levels before nightfall to earn expert status. Just like most TM games, you will clear blocked paths, gather food, cut trees for lumber, repair bridges and damaged buildings, and gather various resources needed to complete the level goals.
Extra Workers can be obtained when you upgrade the workers camp and temporary workers can be found at the local Tavern (not sure how well they do at that point lol) You can build Sawmills to produce more lumber, Gardens provide food for the workers, and mining Silver will pay the workers. (gold hidden inside jugs are for the treasury) When you construct a Storehouse, it will increase your income and constantly increase obtained resources. Messages are occasionally sent to you via Pigeon express, from the Abbot that will allow you to upgrade some of your buildings, but the pigeon is rather small and easy to overlook at times.
Bonuses must be found, and cannot be used until the path is clear. In the demo, the only bonus given, is a pair of Speedy Boots, that speed up the pace of the workers once you collect them. Each level has a Hidden Treasure to discover, but the only indication I have noticed is that a question mark appears. Once you find the hidden cache, you must send a worker to dig it up, and let me tell ya, some of them are nearly impossible to find!
As far as Time Management games go, I found this to be one of the most entertaining with lots of different tasks and resources available in each level. I loved the fact that the more time it takes you to complete a level, the darker it becomes as nightfall approaches. No, it's not as epic as the Adelantado Trilogy Strategy based games, but it is pretty good, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Florentine Elegy is another example of what happens when a series doesn't know when to quit. The storyline has no imagination and is painfully predictable. The demo is supposed to be designed to captivate its audience, and draw them in hook, line and sinker. It's supposed to leave you hanging, with an "I gotta find out how it ends" frame of mind. But, I can assure you, you'll only be left with a "so what, take it or leave it" frame of mind!
The Danse Macabre series is not one of my favorite series in the first place, because It's always the same MO, an accomplished artist who gets murdered at the very start, and they are always involved in some type of competition. Almost always, the key suspect is usually innocent and must find evidence that will exonerate them. Sure enough, that's exactly what this game is about, no surprises here. Another problem I have with this latest edition of Danse Macabre, is that the murder victim isn't exactly a likeable character. He's arrogant, conceited, and self centered, not to mention that he treats his music protege as if she were his servant, so honestly, it's not surprising that Maestro Benedetti has made enemies along the way!
Not even the Collector's Edition version can salvage this hot mess, which offers more of the same. There are 38 Hidden Signs, which is a feature as predictable as the game itself. The CE also offers the usual Achievements, Artwork and Strategy Guide, and that's about it, but I suppose that the Morphing Object available in just 12 of the Hidden Object Scenes cout as well.
The Hidden Object Scenes are the same types offered in all Danse Macabre games too. They are mostly in the form of Silhouetted Shape or Sketch finds, some are Progressive or slightly Interactive as you click on an object to move it aside which then exposes the object. In the demo, there is one Interactive List find available within a small Zoom Zone, and one HOP includes a Keywords in sentences once you find the hidden storybook. (it took me a few seconds to realize I was supposed to keep searching) As I mentioned earlier, there are 12 Hidden Object Scenes that offer a Morphing Object, a feature I love, but hate when offered in just the HOP's, it's just not as interesting as when they are offered in each location, and half the time, I get so engrossed in the HOS that I forget to look for them.
The Mini Games are decent, fairly easy to solve, but doesn't have anything new, or wow, I love this puzzle. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Press the keys on the harpsichord in the correct order according to numbered directional arrows, so all keys are used once.
2) Select directional arrows to descend a rope, avoiding obstacles.
3) Click when the ball is within the marked zone.
4) Rotate Roman Numeral cylinders on the lock so the sum equals the year shown on the award.
5) Place the note buttons into the correct positions, so they match with the notes above and below them.
6) Place the moon phases correctly.
7) Sink your opponents ships by selecting squares on their board where you suspect their ships are placed (Battleship)
The Collector's Edition has a Souvenir Room, 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 9 Music Soundtracks, 7 Movies, replayable Match 3 games, 14 replayable Hidden Object Puzzles, 12 Morphing Objects available within some of the HOP's, 18 replayable Mini Games, 38 Collectible Hidden Signs, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter.
I don't recommend this game.

I love a good Solitaire game, and who doesn't love a Pirate Themed Solitaire game? I have a few "cons" with this game, that was enjoyable playing the demo, but because the cons outweigh the pros, it simply isn't a game I'd buy.
The pros for me, is that it's a Higher/Lower type Solitaire game. I hate the Matching type because they are more like a Mahjong game than a Solitaire game. There are 12 Pirate themed card designs to choose from, and 3 face card styles available. You can play in Newbie mode which allows you to replay any level, or Professional which only allows you to replay the entire 10 pack level. I prefer to play in Newbie because I will replay a level until I get a perfect score.
The cons, The graphics are bland and mechanical looking, not very appealing. The music soon becomes annoying, and is the same music offered in all games by this dev (which usually are Tower Defense games) fortunately, you can turn the music off or at least lower the sound. As I mentioned earlier, I will replay a level over and over until I get a perfect score, I'm totally ocd about it, which is why I don't care for the feature this game offers where you win the hand if you remove all "Special" or plated cards, even if regular cards remain. It annoys me to no end, to have several cards left on the board, but because I removed the last special card, the level ends, it's especially hard when you are on a long chain streak, and you can't complete the record breaking chain! Finally, there are no new or exciting features, if you have played any Solitaire game requiring you to remove all special or gold cards, this one is no different. Because the cons outweigh the pros for my personal tastes, I really don't recommend Legend of the Pirates, try Magic Solitaire, The Chronicles of Emerland or the latest Zombie Solitaire game, the graphics are so much more appealing and you can actually remove all the cards on the board to win!
I don't recommend this game.

Big City Adventure is a fantastic HOG series that takes us to famous cities all around the world. There are 11 other BCA games available, this adventure takes us to some of the most famous tourist locations in Rome. This is purely a Hidden Object game, with a puzzle available after each location is complete. You will visit popular tourist attractions throughout Rome, such as the Colosseum, Musei Capitolini, and the Roman Forum. You can choose a Timed or Relaxed mode, and you can opt to show zoomed in areas or turn off riddle descriptions.
Each Hidden Object Scene has a hidden Roman Shield to find, that isn't on the list, for a total of 60. Each scene also has Bonus Coins (again, not on the list) there are Hint Coins, Time Coins that add either 2 or 5 minutes to the timer, Point Coins that add either 1 or 5k points to your score, and Skip Coins which will allow you to skip any puzzle. Each scene has one area that can be zoomed into, and usually has 2 items hidden within, that are listed in blue text. Unless you opted for no riddles in the option settings, there will be at least one item listed in the form of a riddle, or brief description.
After each and every HOG, you will solve a Mini Game or puzzle such as, connecting the Noodle, finding the correct sequence of objects in a word search type puzzle, clicking on groups of 2 or more in a Match 3 type game, selecting the right sequence of colored cupcakes, until they are in the correct order as indicated by green light means the correct place, yellow means the cupcake is in the wrong place and red means the cupcake isn't used at all.
This is a wonderful series that takes us to beautiful countries, and explains interesting facts about some of the most popular tourist attractions. In my opinion, this game is meant to be enjoyed as a family activity, easy enough for the kids (or grandkids) to participate, and interesting enough for adults to enjoy too. Pack your bags HOG fans, you're going on an adventure, enjoy!
I recommend this game!
