I still don't see the need for a Collector's Edition version in a Time Management game. I personally could care less about the wallpapers, or even trophies, and I've never needed a strategy guide, I just replay the level to tweak a few task queues until I get it right. Of course, Big Fish has set the standards when it comes to a CE in a HOPA game, but asking twice as much money for a Time Management game, is something I have a hard time swallowing, so for me, this Standard Edition is perfectly fine. Here's my review so you can decide which version, if any, is right for you:
Jason and Hercules have yet another adventure to embark upon, Fleecing the Fleece! Before this dynamic duo can steal the fleece from the land of Colchis, they must build a boat to cross the treacherous sea, and defeat a powerful dragon! This is the seventh game offered in the 12 Labours of Hercules series, and even though the synopsis states that the graphics are in stunning HD, I didn't really notice anything different or spectacular.
There are three different modes of difficulty, Relaxed, Casual and expert, in the CE version, every level that is completed within Gold Time, will reveal a part of the Magic castle, and each level has a puzzle piece to find which looks like an ancient rune tile, and allows you to assemble 5 different puzzles. I always look for the puzzle piece before clicking on anything which starts the game, that way I don't forget about the puzzle piece or waste time searching for it. You can replay any of the levels to try to get a better score or if you forgot the puzzle piece. The CE also has 20 Achievements or Trophies to earn for tasks such as collecting a resource after completing the level tasks, completing the level without using bonuses or finding 10 puzzle pieces. As you progress, different bonuses are made available that can be used each time the meter refills, such as more Resources, or Faster workers, but the effects are only temporary.
There are the usual tasks of building and upgrading farms, sawmills, goldmines, and even outposts that house workers that are far from home, clearing and repairing paths, and collecting food. Each task requires a certain amount of resources to complete and when you scan over a task, the requirements needed are shown as well as the resources you are lacking to complete the task. You can click on several tasks to have the workers complete, a checkmark will appear on the item for every available worker, and flags will queue the rest in numerical order until a worker is free. In Relaxed and Casual modes, the tasks available are circled in green, yellow indicates you will be able to complete the task once the resources collected are delivered to the base camp, red indicates the item is either blocked or you don't have enough available resources. Hercules is the go to guy for removing things no mere mortal could accomplish, (and there's always an abundance of boulders and landslides in every game of the 12 Labours series) and his wife Megara, takes care of nurturing the tree saplings.
The Collector's Edition has 9 Wallpapers, 20 (to the best of my knowledge) Trophies or Achievements to earn, (which can be viewed on the level map) Collectible Puzzle Pieces, Puzzles to complete once all the pieces have been collected, a built in Strategy Guide, and Bonus Level chapters, enjoy!

I can't wait to play this game with my 5 year old granddaughter this weekend. This is a game that will be fun for kids, young and old, and even really, really old kids, like myself lol. My granddaughter is always asking to play one of my games, but I have a hard time finding games she can play, because most of them have a lot of reading involved, especially in HOG's, but this is an easy game to figure out even if they can't read the dialog boxes.
When I first started playing the demo, I thought, wow this is far too easy, probably even for the kids. The entire first level (Shallow level) is very easy, and there are only 15-20 large Shells, spaced evenly across the board. All you have to do is click on two different shells, remember which colored gems are under them, and find the matches. You will earn 50 points for each correct match and 200 points when you match the two halves of special items such as diver helmets, various fish and submarines. In the Shallow depth, there are no penalties.
In the Medium Depth levels, Dynamite is introduced. The goal is to match the Dynamite with another Dynamite which gives you 50 points, if you click on a dynamite, and then click on one of the speciality halves such as a fish, nothing will happen, if you click on dynamite and then on a colored gem, the dynamite will explode not only that gem, but all gems of that color, even the ones face down, and 10 points are deducted for every gem that explodes. I did find that if you click on a dynamite and a gem on the first move, no points are deducted because you don't have any points to deduct from yet!
On the Deep depth, the Pirate Skull is introduced, and he's an annoying little bag of bones! If you fail to match the Pirate Skull with his twin counterpart, all the shells will swap places in either a column or a row, depending on which direction the match was made (if you click on the pirate skull and then click on a shell one row under the pirate skull, those two rows will swap. Matching two Pirate Skulls is worth 50 points as well, incorrect matches will deduct 10 points.
Once all shells have been removed, the stats are given as far as the amount of points you earned as well as the number of tries it took you to complete the level. You can replay any level, if you want to try to earn more points, by completing the level in less moves. There is no timer, which would have been a nice option to have, and the points aren't worth anything because there's no Shop to buy Power-up's or Bonuses with.
I didn't complete the demo, because I wanted to wait to play it with my granddaughter, but I'm a little leary about the length of the game in its entirety, because it appears that there are only four depths. I'm hoping there are more depths available in the full version because I already unlocked and played three levels in the demo. If you like memory matching games (did you ever play this game as a kid using two decks of playing cards?) and you want to just chillax or play a game the kids will enjoy too, this one is fairly entertaining, and hopefully, it's a longer game than it appears, enjoy!

In Chase for Adventure: The Lost City, Ann Windsdoe retraced her father's archaeological expedition in Madagascar, where he disappeared over 20 years ago. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to locate her father, and returned to the university empty handed. Ann is eager to embark on another adventure, this time, to locate The Iron Oracle, an ancient device that could be the key to finally locating her beloved father.
The graphics are fairly decent, and I love the different tasks that are required in each level. I still don't see a need for a Collector's Edition in a Time Management game, but I did enjoy finding the Morphing Chameleons and the red, blue and purple Jewels (one morph and one jewel in each level)
As I stated earlier, most of the tasks are kind of different, for example, you have to first find a Shovel to dig up piles of sand, and you have to find a Lantern before you can explore the Ancient Barrows. Some of the sites have a few Camera Icons that are located near important landmarks or other discoveries, and you have to place the camera first, then you have to take the picture, and if there is more than one object to photograph, you'll have to click on the camera again, in order to move it. There are giant stone door disks to move, Sphinxes to explore and even ancient Tombs to explore, so far, I haven't repaired a single bridge!
There are still the familiar tasks of gathering resources such as food and water, or clearing paths of debris such as stones and boulders or fallen trees. You will need to strategically construct the correct buildings that will give you the resources you need such as Tents for more Workers, Sawmills for Wood,Canteens to supply Food, or Pumping Stations for Water. Some supplies are constantly being delivered in small amounts by helicopter, mostly food and water.
There is a Bonus Meter at the bottom of the screen that has to fill up before you can use the power-up icons such as, Faster Workers, Extra Resources etc. There is also a meter at the top, which shows you your level Star position, but any level can be replayed from the map.
Although this isn't one of my favorite Time Management games, I really enjoyed the change of pace tasks available. Personally, I don't have any interest in the CE extras offered, so I will wait patiently for the Standard Edition to be released.
Games Available in this Series: -CHASE FOR ADVENTURE: The Lost City 10-5-16 (3.2) -CHASE FOR ADVENTURE 2: The Iron Oracle 8-1-17 (N/A)
This Collector's Edition offers 34 Photo Album pictures, 55 Morphing Chameleons, 45 Collectible Jewels (15 red, 15 blue, 15 purple) a High Scores leader board, 34 Achievements to earn, 8 Concept Art pictures, 8 Wallpapers, a built in Strategy Guide and 10 Bonus CE levels, enjoy!

This game certainly is crazy, crazy bad! This review will be brief because I only forced myself to play the demo for exactly 11 minutes. There are a total of 7 Hotels to unlock, and each Hotel has roughly 20 levels or floors, and there are 50 Trophies to earn as well. The graphics are plain old ugly, the tiles are unappealing, and the music annoyed me.
This is a Limited Moves type of Match 3 game, and normally I love it when a dev thinks outside the box to bring us something new, however, this out-of-the-box idea doesn't work for me. To clear a floor you need to collect and match 3 bananas, you earn bananas by making matches that will fill the banana meter. within a specified amount of moves (wouldn't this game be more appealing with banana lovin' minions?) To make matches, you need to push the tiles themselves right or left, using directional arrows located on either side of each row. I think the game would be more challenging if you could also push the columns up or down!
There are the usual obstructions offered such as concrete blocks and padlocks if you match 3 or more tiles that have coins on them, it will allow you to purchase Employees, which are basically Power-up bonuses to help you beat the more difficult levels.
As if the gameplay itself wasn't bad enough, they added a giant gorilla hand that swoops down on the board and steals one of your bananas needed to win, but only if you fail to make a match on the next turn. I didn't see anything in this game that made me want to finish the demo, let alone buy it, so please try the demo before you buy!

Mad Head games never disappoint me, and right from the get go, this has been one of my favorite MH games as far as storylines go. The last couple of games in this series have been a wee bit too easy for my personal tastes, and some of the characters tend to be a bit hokey at times, but if you play this game from the beginning, I'm sure you will enjoy the storyline as well. This game is a solid game throughout, nothing spectacular, but decent enough. I purchased this game in the CE version during a 2 for 1 sale, however, this Standard Edition version is the better value, not just because of the price, but because the CE extras aren't worthy of twice as much money. Here's a recap of my review so you can decide which version, if either is right for you:
Queen Valera is the last remaining Mage of the Firewielders, sworn to protect their world from evil, by harnessing the elements of nature to cast spells. The first Mage of the Firewielders, Erasmus, was the Master of eternal flame. Because of his unique abilities and life commitment, the Firewielder lineage became the strongest of all Mages. Erasmus was the only Mage capable of closing the seal that was breached, between our world and the Dark Realm, which allowed Azomond the Dark Lord to enter the Kingdom. The Dark Lord has been banished to the depths of the Dark Realm for a long time, long enough to gather an army of evil minions, and plan his next resurrection, Vae Victis!
Yes, this story has been told a thousand times, in a thousand different scenarios, but somehow, Mad Head games was able to pull this one off, making the plot just interesting enough to play it for the 1,001th time. I Beta tested this game a while back, and they did change one Collector's Edition collectible, which was a colorful Leaf in the beta version, but is now a Jigsaw Puzzle piece. I'm not sure why they made this change, perhaps the colorful Leaf was too apparent, but I actually preferred the leaf over the bland jigsaw puzzle piece. I also found the graphics to be crisper and more colorful, than in the beta version. The Collector's Edition also offers a Morphing Object within the Hidden Objects Scenes, which is a feature I love, but hate when only offered in the HOP's, mainly because I get too wrapped up in the scene and forget to look for them, and you can't go back to find them once the HOS is over.
The Hidden Object Scenes are in classic Mad Head form, they always have the same style to them with the same music, but in a good way. Mad Head always has some interesting scenes with interesting interactions. A couple of my favorite scenes required interacting with trap doors, sliding figurines, and even opening a skeleton dinosaurs mouth to find different symbols, and another scene where you had to pick up items in one cubicle, open up another, and replace the items in three different drawer pull outs. There were also Interactive List Finds that left fragments behind to collect, finding 4 of each symbol on each page of a story, and even Spot the Difference between a painting and the scene itself. One scene I thought was actually challenging was finding valves and gadgets that matched the silhouetted shapes shown on a panel, and some of the valves were hard to find because there were so many similar shaped valves. Most of the HOS have a Morphing Object available which is another typical feature for Mad Head.
The Mini Games are decent, and doable, ranging from super simple to medium difficulty. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Recreate the constellations in the clue by selecting a point of light and placing it on an available spot.
2) Recreate the tiles based on the clue shown, using the press to to form and forge the tile pieces.
3) Use a map to navigate the labyrinth, using objects you find to interact with different tasks.
4) Repeat the sequence order of symbols as demonstrated.
5) Pick the lock by using rotational arrows.
6) Spot the difference between the painting and the scene.

I have been a fan of this lesser known series from the start, however, Death's Embrace isn't as good as the other games in the series. I think that this game lacks originality, for the most part, they did a great job in the graphics department, but unfortunately, this is one of those games that fizzles after the demo, becoming almost stagnant at some points. Here's a recap of my review so that you can decide which version, if either, is right for you:
Aaron and Ophelia were about to be joined in Holy Matrimony when the unthinkable happened. Ophelia became stricken with a disease, a magical disease, a deadly disease. Aaron tried every spell, and every potion imaginable, but they all failed to cure her, and the dark Lord of the Underworld collected her soul. Aaron vowed to save Ophelia, if Light Magic was incapable of saving her, Dark Magic surely would!
Pack your bags, we're headed for the Underworld to make the devil a deal! I've always been a fan of this, often overlooked series, which shows that Love is enduring, and has no boundaries, Love will move the heavens and the earth, Love will even enter the Land of the Dead to conquer its gatekeeper, Lord Phobos! I wasn't blown away by this storyline, however, because it lacks originality, and has been written and rewritten about a hundred times, in about a hundred different ways.
I wasn't impressed with the Collector's Edition version extras either, or lack thereof, because other than a handful of wallpapers and Vendel dev pictures, the only frill offered is 26 Hidden Heart Signs. You will use only one gadget, a Compass that helps you find caches hidden by magic. The compass isn't used a whole lot, and usually involves aligning symbols or places in the scene. There are no helpers or sidekicks, and I must admit I was a wee bit disappointed that Blaze didn't become my partner in crime, because Blaze is a really well animated, fire breathing Dragon Skeleton, nothing but bone, but really cool! (kudos to the VG animation and 2D graphic artist team!)
The Hidden Object Scenes are fairly well done, many of which are more of a Mini Game than a seek and find game. There are Interactive List finds which expose fragments to collect, Silhouetted Shape finds followed by replacing those objects you found into a different portion of the scene, and Multiples of the same item finds.
The Mini Games range from super easy, to medium difficulty, some of the games allow you to choose the difficulty mode of Casual or Hard. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Click on matching pairs of objects.
2) Swap adjacent tile sections to complete the image.
3) Select matching halves of keys, then choose the correct key to open the chest.
4) Restore the compass image by rotating the rings until all the lines match perfectly.
5) Find all of the witches' runes hidden on the map.
6) Press the correct dagger buttons as the falling bubbles pass through them.
7) Drag the parts into the center to complete the design, not all parts are used.
8) Select the scope when it turns green and then select the meter when the bar is aligned to throw the grappling hook.
9) Swap the doorknockers so that the rings match the faces.
10) Examine the scene and find four of each symbol shown during a story.
11) Place all of the marbles in their matching colored slots, pressing on the hexagonal tiles to rotate them.

I don't know why this game is receiving mostly one star reviews, I think it's a blast from the past! One of my favorite Time Management games is very similar, Haunted Domains, which is an oldie but goodie. The graphics can be set from fastest, to fantastic, and I chose the fantastic graphics. I'm not saying this game is perfect, it has a few flaws which are more of an absence of features than a glitch, but I'm certainly going to use a credit for this one.
This is a point and click type Time Management (no dragging involved) Some customers want to dine in the restaurant, others want a Hotel room (which seems to be rented by the minute lol) If the customer wants to eat, you click on the dining room table you wish them to go to, then you click on the food item that pops up above their head, which will automatically go to the chef, Frank, for him to prepare, then you click on the food when ready and serve to the correct customer, collect their money, clean the table, take garbage to the trash and move onto the next customer.
When a customer wants a roor, you click on an empty room (beginning levels have 1 table for two customers, and 1 hotel room, and you must purchase all tables and hotel rooms before you can unlock the next level) after the customers goes to their room Quasimodo must be directed to pick up their luggage and deliver it to their room. After a brief snooze, Quasimodo will need to collect their money and clean their room, discarding trash into the same bin as the food trash goes into.
After each level, you can purchase upgrades, more tables, and more rooms, decorations and upgraded ovens, beverage dispensers etc. You can purchase Spells that will make Quasimodo and Frank move a bit faster, become dissatisfied a little slower, or deter unwanted guests. The levels take place either in the daytime or at night, and this matters because during the day, you need to get rid of rebellious vampires that continuously order food that they don't pay for, by adding garlic to their food. During the night you must deter sleepwalkers by giving them a special dish that frightens them wide awake and eventually fleeing.
The features that are lacking, and would have made this game nicer, would be the ability to see your queued with the order, such as a check mark or number of order they are going to be done in. You also have to really pay attention to the unwanted guests because the vampires during the day are difficult to spot when you are busy. I also found it difficult at times to get a customer to the correct place, for instance if you click on a customer first, there's nothing to indicate that you have clicked on the customer and if you don't click on the table just right, the customer won't move to the table, and you don't know if either are queued causing you to lose time which disrupts the flow. When you first start out, there is only one hotel room, (hotel rooms are time consuming) and usually several customers who want a room, and the cost for another room is 1500, which takes too long to earn.
Other than a few lacking features, I really liked this game. It's challenging, but addicting. The graphics are old school but really crisp, and I love the theme. Give this game a chance, there's no dragging involved, and so far no multi-clicking to combine food items. You may also want to give Haunted Domains a try, for a similar but older TM game with the same theme, enjoy!

Perhaps Darren and Tess should have invited Ursula to their wedding, after all, she was the fiance of his best friend Oliver. There will be no wedding for Ursula, because Oliver was killed in a hunting accident, and Ursula blames Darren. Ursula has always suffered from a bipolar disorder, and her grief has pushed her over the edge, cursing Tess to a slow death, and rendering Darren helpless, as her captor. Will Darren be forced to watch his beloved die a slow death, or can Tess find the strength to defeat Ursula's curse? This is Immortal Love, where love knows no boundaries, where love can conquer all evil, love is forever, love is immortal!
The third time is not a charm, I found this third installment of the series to be far too easy, far too familiar, far too gimmicky, and has far too many "notes" scattered about, who does that in the first place? Who writes down every emotion, every plan, and then drops the notes all about town? Ursula's fiance Oliver, gave her an Amulet (surprise!) to help balance her emotions, but her grief overflowed, and she used the amulet to summon sorcery. Her dark magic minions, look somewhat like a teddy bear mixed with a kitty, it's hard to take them seriously. To recharge the amulet (which is now in your possession) you will need to collect Ursula's good memories by scanning the amulet over some of those "notes" I mentioned earlier. Then you are tasked with finding a specific number of good memories in an HOP style game, which is incredibly simplistic. In this Collector's Edition version, each scene has a Collectible Candle, but they stick out like a beacon in my opinion, and I just don't see the value in this game as a CE.
The Hidden Object Scenes are far too easy, they aren't creative, and they aren't that much fun. There are the usual Interactive list finds, Multiple finds, Silhouetted Shape finds and Keywords in sentences. Each time you recharge the amulet you will play a HOP to find pictured icons of Ursula's good memories, and so far, I haven't seen an alternate to the HOP games.
The Mini Games are really easy, and son't present much of a challenge. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Jump over hearts of the opposite color to remove all of them.
2)Select the sliders when they are in the yellow zone.
3) Guide tokens to the bottom slots, use color coded rings to raise and lower dots so they can pass over them.
4) Rotate puzzle parts to complete the image.
5) Guide the ship to the exit using directional arrows. The ship will continue on it's course until it hits an obstruction or obstacle.
6) Play a game of Tic-Tac-Toe with the teddy bear cat.
7) Connect like-colored tiles by dragging a path and filling all cells.

Mad Head games must have some of the brightest, most creative team members available. They don't throw out a game every month with the same boring storyline hashed over and over, they don't throw a pile of junk in the corner to make a Hidden Object Scene, and they certainly don't present the same puzzles we've done a hundred different times in a hundred different ways. These guys pour their heart and soul into each and every game, the quality is 100 % across the board, the sights, the sounds, the story, it's all here folks, everything you could ask for in a game.
Alicia Cole is a museum curator who finds herself the victim of a botched robbery, while working late. Her daughter Maya, was in the wrong place at the wrong time, when the thief accidentally drops the Skull of Darkness. The hard shell casing cracks, exposing the dangerous artifact, and Maya is swept away through it's evil portal, to a world beyond light itself, where only the shadows dare to play!
Equipped with only a Mystical Lens, Alicia will have to find a way to thwart the thieves, and use the Skull of Darkness to enter a world where K'tal delved further than anyone ever dared, in his relentless pursuit of ultimate power. In this Collector's Edition version, there are 36 Collectible icons, and they are fantastically blended into each scene, unlike some games where you can't help but see them. There are also 17 Morphing Objects within each HOP.
The Hidden Object Scenes are by far the most creative and entertaining scenes I've ever seen! Although the concepts are the same, the scenes are not. My favorite's were finding Silhouetted Shapes on three different fossil walls in the museum during an interactive tour, and finding Listed items cleverly blended on three different movie posters. Each HOP has a Morphing Object available in this CE version.
The Mini Games are unusual, and very creative. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Move the Knights in an L formation to their color coded spots.
2) Create a platform for the yellow hexagon to exit, by crossing over the exact number of symbols as indicated on the clue.
3) Open the safe using the clue you find.
4) Use the mystical lens to destroy the evil shadows, align the circles over the target and click when the two circles overlap.
5) Lead the glowing orb from point A to B by clicking on points of the path until they create a path.
6) Recreate the picture by swapping tiles using the frame as a clue.
7) Steer the car by clicking on the correct moving directional arrow when it aligns with the arrow in the box.
8) Choose the correct item related to the riddle.
9) Move parts of the picture to match the painting.
10) Select the correct images according to the clue.
11) Move the tiles to the opposite sides of the board, tiles can jump one another.

When the Collector's Edition was first released, I was really excited when I read the title of this new series, Ghost Files: The Face of Guilt. Awesome, says I, a new paranormal game series about Ghosts! After downloading the game, my anticipation starts mounting, first things first, let's check out the "extra's," contain yourself says I. So I gathered my excited wits, surely there are ghostly beyond objects, says I, aha!, er....wait a minute, where are the Collector's Edition extras, says I? Well, turns out that you have to Buy the Game, Play the Game, and Yes, you actually have to FINISH THE ENTIRE GAME before you have access to anything! Now I understand what that stupid saying means that my Grandma used to always say, "you wouldn't buy a pig in a poke, would you?" I remember asking her, Grandma, what's a poke? Her reply, it's a bag, my next question, but Grandma, why did they put a pig in a bag? Her response, "exactly!" Hmf!?!
Now that the proverbial pig is out of its bag, or is it still in the bag? Anyway, let's just move right along to the story, Ghost stories! Wait, what? Ghost Files is about a serial killer? Okay, maybe I just haven't progressed far enough into the game, I'm betting that the serial killer has been dead for about 50 years, but he thinks he's still alive, I says to myself, keep playing! Nope, it still seems that the "Guilty Man" is very much alive. Ooh, ooh, I know the answer, Emily Hunter, the lead detective, is really dead, but she doesn't know she's dead and keeps coming to work, that's why she just ditched the Psychic, Julie Sanders, right? Wrong, she's apparently still very much alive too! So I keep doing my detective thing all over the city, suspecting that everyone I see, is just a ghost, but they keep disappointing me with their living, breathing, aliveness! By the end of the demo, I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to see any ghosts, until.........I FINISH THE ENTIRE GAME, am I right?
The Hidden Object Scenes involve finding several ghosts. Actually none of that was true, they are just normal junk piles, consisting mostly of Interactive List finds or Progressive, Interactive Silhouetted Shape finds. You can opt to play an alternate Monaco Card Game of matching pairs of identical cards with ghosts on them. Okay that part isn't true either, there are no ghost pictures. You can make matches vertically, horizontally, diagonally or ghostly.
The Mini Games don't involve ghosts or files. Below are brief descriptions of some of the ghostly games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Turn the safe dial to the correct numbers and the correct direction, right, left or ghost.
2) Compare the 2 finger prints by dragging the microscope lens across the ghostly sample on the right, searching for unique ghostly marks given on the left side.
3) Compare the DNA of two ghostly blood samples by finding 3 pairs of matching ghost microbes.
4) Use the ghostly mouse to drag the ghostly chain along the ghostly line until you reach the ghostly hole on the right.
5) Select the 3 ghostly flowers from the fridge clue magnets on the padlock sliders.
The Collector's Edition has 22 Achievements to earn, 10 Collectible victim Pictures, Collectible Tarot Cards, 5 Forensic item collectibles, Wallpapers, Concept Art pictures, Movies and Cutscenes, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, and lots and lots of non-existent Ghosts!
