I am not sure why this is getting rave reviews. Sure, the story is good and the graphics are good but this is a GAME. The puzzles should be challenging and any hidden object scenes should have some objects that are difficult to find. Something. But almost all of the "puzzles" are not puzzles at all, but merely moving objects around. One of them is coloring a set of dolls based on the posted color scheme. Not challenging! To be honest, there are a couple that will keep you going for a few extra minutes but those are few and far between.
I think that Elephant spit this game out before it was ready. There are times when the text has poor grammar and looks like someone skipped spell check. BUT the thing that leads me to believe this is on the market before its time is that sometimes the family is called McGray and then other times they are McGrew. Seriously. Look at the family tree.
Finally, when you find an area that needs you to move a rock or do some other activity, there is a picture on the screen that "tells" you what to do. This is in advanced mode. I don't need a picture. Let me figure it out. But apparently we are too stupid to figure it out so Elephant put pictures.
Sorry, this is not what I expected from Elephant. Play it if you want to be kept busy wandering around but don't play it if you want a challenge.

This is one of the slowest games I have played in a while. It seems to take forever to load the scenes. That would be OK if the scenes were worth waiting for, but they are not. The HOPs are easy. The mini-games are super easy. So if you play these kinds of games often, it might be a good idea to play the demo first.

This is a great game to play as it has a lot of HOs's as well as quite a few puzzles. All of the HOS's are pretty easy except there are a few where the objects are so tiny, you need to look for a bit. The puzzles cover a wide spectrum of difficulty so if you're a beginner, you might want to keep the walkthrough handy. The storyline seems to be interesting EXCEPT the ending is AWFUL!! I have to wonder if the Elephant coders walked out on strike and they just sent the game out without bothering to end it. The last puzzle completes and 5 seconds later, boom, the game ends. It would not have taken much to tie it all together. Even some words would have done a world of good. Other than that, though, you will enjoy this one.

Good game for most skill levels. There are different areas that you need to go to and after completing each area, it's closed off. That makes the game quite a bit less challenging as you know that you need to just work with the area you're in. That said, there are some puzzles that have a little more challenge to them than others which I really like. It doesn't take a long time to finish this game, either, so if you are looking for something for your plane ride, this is perfect.

I couldn't even get through the demo. This was so boring. The puzzles were way too easy. Absolutely no challenge. They could have gotten more challenging as the game progressed but as I said, I couldn't even make it through an hour. I tried a mahjong game instead of the HO and found that to be no challenge either. You go along picking up pairs of tiles and then when you can't make any more moves, you get to shuffle the tiles. Essentially, there is no way to fail. Keep your money.

This is one of the better games that I have played in a while. The scent tracker is unique and adds another level of interest to the game. Some of the puzzles are quite easy whereas others are challenging and take some time to figure out. The map is helpful and can be used to find areas that have something that can be done. The black screen mentioned in many of the posts can be a little annoying but you get used to it. I will say that moving objects into regions that they are needed can be a little challenging. If the object is not perfectly aligned, it goes back to your inventory. The top of the cursor needs to be pointing to where you think the objects connect.
This is a pretty good game with some very easy puzzles and a few that are a little challenging. The story is easy to follow as is the movement throughout the game. A map is available if you get lost or need help figuring out where you have something that still needs to be done. The ending is VERY abrupt which is kind of odd in that everything else seems to have a solid story. But good game, nonetheless.
I've played the other Grim Tales games and have loved every one of them. There are some puzzles that take some time and others that don't take much effort at all. That's a great combination. I would have preferred a map rather than having to go back and forth from location to location but all in all, this was a great game to play.
This was one of the worst games I have played in a while. There was absolutely no challenge to anything. I am very happy I only played the demo.
I don't recommend this game.

The only positive about this game is that it is there when you want to waste time but only about 10-20 minutes a day unless you spend a lot of extra (real) money to extend your play. You either find 600 of the same item or none at all. There is no way to select specific items to find so the list grows exponentially with each level. And there is no benefit for finding all of the objects quickly. Save your time and HD space and download a different game.
