I found this game accidentally .. nothing to play and saw this pop us so used one of my coupons. Well worth a coupon but this game could've offered/gone so much further!
Visually delightful, played smoothly, had a storyline albeit a common one but at least we did/do have a goal! But what spoilt it for me was the amount of HOPS! My goodness, couldn't step into a new scene and there it was ... flashing away! And you have to do each one twice ... even thinking I did some 3 x times ... if not, felt like it!
The DEV's could've done so much more with this game with a little more time and thought, and could've been worthy of a CE offering had they done that rather than resort to constant HO moments! Gamers today want and need more to challenge them, make their purchase fun, interesting, challenging, worthwhile!
So, glad I had a coupon for this game as part of it is great, some puzzles easy but some challenging but never unachievable, which personally I liked. I am good at some games but not so good at others so don't want them to be frustrating but rather worth persevering with.
This game is definitely worth purchasing if you have a spare coupon or two but also definitely leans more to a HOP game. If that is not to your liking then I would advise bypassing it. I personally would prefer these games without any HOPs but seems we will never completely move on from this genre of play ... would be lovely to get a game that is purely adventure with no HOP's to get that much needed item! Particularly if you are immersed in a Fairy Tale and have to find a "clothes peg" or a "CD" or a "phone"!
As I get fed up and bored with continual HO moments, I end up just clicking anywhere and then often get penalised ... now that irks me as it is my game, my choice and whilst popular DEV's now offer the option, some don't and this truly spoils my enjoyment! Oh well .... hopefully one day, all game developers will listen to their customers!
Overall, this is a nice game, had so much potential but well worth a coupon ... and a game to get you through until the next CE offering!

I have always enjoyed the PuppetShow collection but after playing this one, perhaps time to retire this storyline? I found the game visually nice, ran smoothly, HOP's were a few too many but weren't just find and seek so sort of okay! The game was over all too soon though .. too easy or too short??
Which I'm finding of late ... where once a CE game gave me at least a couple of days pleasure, now it seems I only get an afternoon's pleasure! Too easy, too short, not challenging enough? I don't know ... just that I do find the games of late to be "same 'ol same 'ol" and I guess therein lies the problem!
Would like to see new, innovative ideas/ puzzles, better storylines, less HOP's or more interesting, challenging ones ... in other words, games that challenge us, give us value for money, games that last at least a day or two!
I feel when there is a "continuation" of a storyline, it needs to be relevant/flow and there should be an "ending"! Onwards to a new journey! If memory serves me correct, this was the 8th in the series and sadly lacking ... time to end it all!
As I said, the game itself was nice, and newbies to this genre will love it ... but DEV's please start thinking of new stories and stop continuing to "beat the dead horse"!
I do recommend this game albeit the above comments, but to those new to this type of game-play.
I recommend this game!

I thoroughly enjoyed this game (love Mr Jenkins although he is a greedy little cat!) but found it to be the easiest game I have ever tackled! Methinks would be a great game for anyone starting/venturing into this genre of game playing.
There was no "tooing and froing" looking for items, all items needed were within a screen or two. Definitely no need for the map! Games were fun but .... for me ... no real challenges there, all easy to solve. If that is what you enjoy, then you will love the puzzle side of this game!
I shan't elaborate on the storyline as others have done this ... just give you my perspective, level of challenge, enjoyment.
It is a very nice game, nothing awe-inspiring, nothing hard to be done or items to find ... my problem was how quick it all ended! I cannot believe that in less than 4 x hours it was all over! And to add, the bonus content was even shorter and over way too soon!!
In this instance, as we were offered a discount for the game, it was okay but not sure I would've been happy had I had to pay full price!
To summarise ... a lovely game, way too easy for experienced game players, way, .... way ..... way too short including the bonus chapter but would be a beautiful game for those who are thinking of or wanting to venture into the world of puzzle/adventure CE games.
I sort of recommend this ....
I recommend this game!

I can't comment too much on this game as I have given up already! As far as I am concerned wasn't even worth one of my coupons!
Graphics sort of okay, storyline, mmmmm... hint is useless as I am truly stuck so as far as I am concerned ... that is IT for me!
I am an experienced game player and when I get stuck ... it means the game is not worth bothering with!
Avoid this ... don't even waste a coupon on it!
I don't recommend this game.

I rarely buy games such as this, given I am a puzzle/HO CE addict but had nothing to play, lots and lots of coupons ... looked interesting so went for it!
Well, I am still enjoying this game, not mind-blowing but fun, enjoyable and even tasks set are more than achievable. Haven't got quite to end to see if he finds his "true love" but am up to chapter 90 so a good, long game, value for money!
Why I like this particular card game as against others I have bought, is that it is never unachievable! You won't have to play the game over 100 times to achieve your goals! Love that as nothing frustrates me more!
This game is fun if you like card/solitaire, occasionally challenging but never unachievable, just relaxing, enjoyable and a few laughs at the items you have to find!
If you have a spare coupon or two, enjoy a bit of relaxation playing solitaire but do not want it to be taxing, then definitely go for this fun game!
As I said, not normally my genre but am surprised at how much fun I have had playing it!

I know most won't agree with me ... but on a personal basis, this didn't really appeal. In the end, I actually got lost at the amount of people and suspects!! I felt I should've been laying in bed reading an Agatha Christie novel, wow!!
As a game ... it was beautifully done, ran smoothly, visually gorgeous ... my only hesitancy is ... whilst I play these type of games, play all CE games ... they are not my favourite type of genre.
So .. shall now put aside my loves and say this is a great game, great puzzles, ran for a reasonable length of time and I am guessing, the "male" genre in particular, will love it!
Definitely worth buying ... depending on your love of crime and intrigue ... and the bonus content.
Enjoy!!
I recommend this game!

I actually enjoyed this game ... beautiful graphics, ran smoothly, good storyline ... a little "twee" for me but in saying that, did really enjoy it.
HOPS were great as they were different most times, hate the usual just looking for an object ... this had finding pairs, etc. so enjoyable. Puzzles were good ... some easy, some quite challenging but never unachievable.
The game gave me no problems at all, moved quickly and along. and even incorporated stunning visual effects whereby we saw side-to-side screen shots as in Legends ... loved it!!
When I saw the title, I thought ... on no, a Miss Marple perhaps?? But no .. this game is quality plus and whilst the storyline is of a magical genre, perhaps not for all ... for me it was so enjoyable.
You have to find morphing objects ... I always cheat there as I don't have the patience to wait and see what changes, and you also have to find cameos ... now they were easy and great to find!
I recommend this game, a definite buy and I believe you will not be disappointed.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game as I have each Christmas with nice, "feel good" Christmas stories. This one involved Puss in Boots doing something "naughty" but for a genuine, heartfelt reason.
I won't go into the storyline as others have ... suffice it to say, this game was enjoyable, fun, ran well, and was of a reasonable length, including the bonus game.
Was a little surprised at the end though, as I thought with all the puzzle pieces being collected, something was to be done with them in the bonus content ... but unless I missed it, couldn't find it, not sure what or why these had to be collected! Perhaps someone can clarify?
These pieces and morphing objects were relatively easy to find so a plus for me as I do try to find them all ... for my own satisfaction ... but invariably always end up one short!! This time, got them all!
Have fun with it, HOPS are enjoyable and most different so a great plus ... rather than just looking for a list of items! Puzzles are enjoyable, not hard enough to be frustrating but enjoyable and some even a little challenging.
I recommend this game especially if you have young children as it is a lovely family game that you can all share the time together, playing it. As I used to with my grandson who was so good at finding those weeny little hidden objects. Unfortunately, he is now 15 and would rather be out on his new motorbike! Haha... I am a great lover of "escaping" into fairy tales and this is no exception.
Worth purchasing, enjoy the Christmas "feel" ... and a very Merry Christmas to all!
I recommend this game!

Was a surprise to get this mid-week ... excited to download and play it. Beautiful graphics, hiccup though that required a new download, no mouse pointer showing but congratulations to BFG for getting this rectified pretty smartly.
I really am not sure I liked this game ... have all the Ravenhearst games ... but dark, plot seems to have gone in another direction ... I do have to ask why? And why in such a morose, violent direction? My memory is a little fuzzy now on the first Ravenhearst games but definitely remember them being interesting, fun, great challenging games and where to go next!
It is long, finally some value for money, love the mini challenging puzzles, have to admit, did cheat a couple of times as they are not easy ... but most were solvable, hated all the HOP's ... too many and would've thought the calibre of the DEVS and the game wouldn't have warranted the need to make us do all the HOPS we have to ... aahhh ... big minus for me! And some items were so small and insignificant, I clicked on HINT out of pure anger and frustration! Why do DEVS not realise old people like me wear glasses and just sometimes cannot see your cleverly small, well hidden objects!!! When I finally succumb and click on the HINT button I am amazed at where it is ... even with a magnifying glass, wouldn't have found it! Not the object of the game DEVS!!!!
Overall, a good game, excellent mini-puzzles, HOP's ... well too many for this calibre of game .. and since re-downloading, haven't had another problem with the gameplay.
I do recommend this game but with reservations .... i.e. if you like CE games as I do, purchase it as the Strategy Guide could become invaluable ... but if you would rather wait for the SE version, don't need or want the Strategy Guide, then definitely purchase it ... great game and definitely value for money!
I recommend this game!

I love giving reviews and opinions but with this game, I cannot say much! Good graphics, ran smoothly, enjoyable but could not believe it was all over in 3 x hours!
I made it as hard for myself as possible, tried not to cheat .... wanted value for money ... but in this instance, still was all over in 3 x hours! What a disappointment especially when you've bought a CE game!
Nice game, ran smoothly, no hiccups, but wait and buy it as an SE game and it may just, just, be worth money spent!
I really don't have a lot to say about this game as it went all to quickly! Really disappointed I spent money to buy it as a CE game ... did so because I own the series but have to wonder are the DEV's sacrificing quantity for quality Hey, loved the old games, value for money ... but it seems today, we have 1GB downloads that only last 3 hours or so! Mmmmm.....
But, as I said, worth buying when it comes out as an SE game, the continuation and characters are great, and as intimated above, graphics are gorgeous, storyline usually interesting, so good and fun but want more than 3 x hours of gameplay!. Go for it, though, definitely worth buying as an SE game ...
I recommend this game!
