Interesting that they can express send an item from an area they parachuted into so that by the time they get to their next destination (24 hours later) it will have been evaluated. Uh-huh. Storyline not believable. I agree with previous comments about color - the graphics were NOT well done. Too bad; this used to be a great series.
I agree with previous reviewers that the timer is unwelcome when you want to play for fun (and supposed relaxation). In addition, the backgrounds of minigames are so dark it is difficult to see objects. This game could be great, but as is, a "no" for me.
The latest version has many issues that take the fun out of playing. The contrast ratio is so poor in many locations that it is impossible to see a dark item against a dark background. Items are mislabeled, such as "satellite" instead of "satellite dish." I will pass on this one. If there is a next game, an option to skip dialogs would be nice.
I have enjoyed this series. The game has an interesting story line and flows well, except for the frequent task messages,
BFG: this is the LAST TIME I will buy or recommend that does not allow players to unselect ALL tasks. Tasks are self-evident and just slow down game play (and irritate me!).
The earlier games in this series were Christmasy with Christmas music. For the past several years, the developers have just tweaked Park Rangers rather than given us something for Christmas. Some of the scenes are even the same. Several did not have Christmas music. Step it up if you want me to buy this game again!
The game began well, but several puzzles, such as the microscope puzzle, did not work (clicked on the correct microbes to no avail). The CONSTANT objectives and messages - let us decide if we want these - were intrusive and irritating. The game is not for me.
Speaking as a registered nurse who has worked with pediatric patients and a game player, this was awesome! It portrays what families go through when their child/sister/brother is ill, and provides an interesting description of how a young child might mentally experience the illness. The games were fun, although a few lacked adequate directions. The creativity and art are on par with that of Drawn, one of my all-time favorite games. It was nice to see "multiple item games" similar to those popular 10+ years ago. I enjoyed the entire game - thanks Artifex Mundi!
I look forward to this game each year, and it did not disappoint. While the characters are unusual, they are set in a Christmas story. A good variety of games and great story line. Thanks, Elephant Games!
This is based on 20 minutes of play. The storyline is of several women on vacation. The discussion is mainly irritating instead of creating atmosphere. The graphics are ok, the music is very repetitive, and does not fade into the background. There is not challenge; it is one hidden objects scene after another with little storyline. There is no challenge. Not worth buying.
The story line is slow and predictable. Graphis are ok. Not as good as their past games. The setup asks if you want to see objectives; if you indicate no, it shows them anyway. Irritating.
