While the game was interesting at times, in the grand scheme of the series, this was a disappointment. While 5 parts in the main chapter, it felt incredibly short. The story was very underwhelming, and generally uninteresting. Because of the poor story, the game wasn't overly very fun.
If you are a fan of the series, like I am, the game contributes some fun and a decent past time. Otherwise, it doesn't offer very much. If I could I'd give it 2.5 stars, but since I have to go with whole numbers, I gave it a 3. But I can't find myself recommending the game to the broad public.
I don't recommend this game.

Finally, the perfect adventure, HOPA game I've been waiting for on Big Fish.
Finally a hybrid point and click/more 3D interactive environment HOPA game. Excellent story. Excellent graphics. High quality video/cutscenes. If you've wanted a more challenging, adventure driven, point and click game with high quality video and scenes, the game is this one. Hopefully this will just be the start.
Excellent addition to the series. Excellent storyline with many twists and turns. Excellent graphics and cutscenes. Not too many HOP's. Hope they keep up the great series.
If you liked the first Anderson Accounts, you'll like this one. Excellent blend of horror and adventure elements in a mystery game. I liked it better than the first.
Excellent edition to the series. Not sure why all the negative reviews. It seems like over the last year there are plenty of reviewers who are simply out to give a game a negative slant regardless of the quality. If you enjoy the series, you should enjoy this entry.
Excellent sequel to the original. A lot of things to do in the gameplay, excellent graphics, enough spookiness and atmosphere. Just the type of game I'm looking for leading up to Halloween.
Nothing done here is either inventive, challenging, new, or extraordinary. However, in this case, that is perfectly fine. If you like murder mystery games, this game is done well enough to keep your interest. The HOP's are pretty standard, the murder mystery is pretty standard, graphics are pretty standard. However, they all add up to a fairly engaging game. I love a murder mystery set in a large mansion, on a stormy night. A solid 3.5 star game.
I see a lot of reviewers are giving the game negative reviews based on the demo. While I agree the first part of the game was "odd" and a bit disjointed, the game gets much better as you progress. And the bonus game is quite intriguing.
A fresh story that doesn't feel like every other game I've played before. Was feeling surprised as the storyline continued to unfold. Excellent length, took me an hour just to finish part 1 of 5. Typicall high level of production and design from EIPIX. Puzzles wern't the hardest, which is how I like them. Cant' wait for the next chapter.
Solid game all around. Excellent graphics as usual, fun gameplay. If you enjoyed the previous games, you'll enjoy this one. However, the overall downward trend in the christmas stories games continues. The games, which use to be excellent, have become only good. It seems like it's a definite trend by Elephant games with their holiday games to start skimping on game length and variety of locations. Their halloween stories game this year was woefully short, and unfortunately the trend continued here. Definitely seemed like this was the shortest christmas stories game so far. And they re-used the same locations for the bonus game as was in the main game, which greatly diminishes the bonus game quality. So while the game was definitely enjoyable and I would recommend it, the continued shortening of games by this developer continues.
