This is a great game for beginners and intermediate fishies who want to get the experience, but sadly not challenging enough for experts.
You have:
* Voiceovers;
* Casual and Expert Modes;
* Interactive HOS;
* Interactive map;
* 40 morphing objects to find;
* 7 chapters plus the bonus;
* Interaction with the characters.
The graphics are very good and clear as you are travelling around - but I just wished it would stop raining.
The HOS were interactive and very easy to find everything. I enjoyed doing these. The sound was good - quietly in the background.
The mini-games we have all seen before, but some were fun. Most were very easy and could be accomplished in under a minute or so. There were many of them, so you will find some you like.
The morphing objects were a different story. In a lot of cases they were very hard to see. Some were in such obscure places and you would have walked right passed them. Its only because you get a "hand" to tell you that one is there that you realise 'oh okay I didn't see one'. You can also look on the map to see if you have missed any and then go back and find them. I wished they had been more clearer.
Its quite a long game - I think it took me around 6 hours to play the game and about 1 hour for the bonus. I like to take my time though and play all the HOS and mini-games without hints or skipping.
I didn't need to use the Hints or Strategy Guide, so sorry not sure how long they takes to recharge. Experts won't need it anyway.
All in all, a good game. Definitely recommended.
I recommend this game!

There are:
~ Live actors;
~ Voiceovers
~ Casual, Advanced and Hardcode modes;
~ Achievements garden;
~ Interactive map;
~ Interactive HOS;
~ Collect as many flowers as you can to spend in the Philanthropy area (there are 3 areas).
Silly story line really. Quite unbelievable. I got bored during the game but persevered because I had paid for it. I was quite glad when I had finished the game. I didn't bother to do the bonus game.
I think this was mainly due to the colours and graphics. It was really hard to make out what objects were without staring at them for a while. Nothing seemed crystal clear which is a shame because Elephant has shown us perfect graphics in other games.
The HOS were interactive and items were used from your inventory. The mini games were very easy as well.
I enjoyed collecting the flowers and I managed to decorate and clean up all 3 areas in the Philanthropy Area.
All in all, a very easy game which would be perfect for a beginner if they can get passed the hideous graphics.
I'm going to recommend this game for a beginner to get the experience.
I recommend this game!

In short form, you are to save your fiancé Robert Marceau in Eden which is a city under water.
NOW BEWARE. There are quite a few dead bodies floating around - some of which you find unexpectedly and they sure ain't pretty. I jumped quite a few times and at one point fell back on my chair and landed on the sofa! How's that for a fright.
Even though this game wasn't a Collectors Edition, we had all the benefits of one.
There are:
~ Casual, Advanced and Expert Modes;
~ Achievements Board [20 of them];
~ Voiceovers;
~ Diary;
~ Map [which you get later on, but not a jump around one];
~ Bonus play.
I played on Expert mode throughout the game and the bonus, and also played all the HOGs and mini-games.
The graphics on this game are just superb. Everything is crystal clear and quite beautiful.
The sound is good. Background music is fine and not obtrusive.
The hidden object games are really good fun. They are interactive and very easy to find items.
The mini-games are great. Lots of them, so you will always find ones you like. They range from easy to medium. Nothing too hard or frustrating.
Its quite a long game, with plenty of tasks to do. You will be running around a lot to different locations. Yes, you will be having your running shoes on - but believe me it really is worth it cause its so much fun.
The bonus was quite short - which was a prequel to when you arrive.
All in all, a fantastic game and definitely worth every cent.
Definitely recommended to put this in your collection. You will play this game more than once.
Well done Artifex Mundi. You rock.
I recommend this game!

I've forgotten how many times I've played Ravenhearst.
This is the first game and is tied up with the Charles and Emma. Return to Ravenhearst is tied up with their two children and the nanny. Escape from Ravenhearst is tied up with Charles' childhood. So all three stories link together.
This game is mainly hidden objects, puzzles and with a few mini-games. The HOGs can be challenging because they can be hard to see and you are on a timer. Don't be discouraged though because the game is such a lot of fun. The mini games and puzzles are fun too.
The graphics are now a bit dated but it is an old game. However, the music and ambience are just brilliant which makes up for this.
Its quite a long and challenging game so get comfortable.
Definitely recommended. When you finish, you can then start on Return to Ravenhearst and then Escape from Ravenhearst. See you in 6 months!
I recommend this game!

Ho hum, sorry but I hated it. But that may be because I just don't get into fairy tales - more into detective tales.
There are 3 modes of play: Casual, Advanced and Hardcore modes. I played Hardcore but still found it far too easy.
The puzzles and mini-games are easy to medium. I hated finding all the ingredients to make potions. Too boring.
I quite liked the Evil Isa - really arrogant and secretly hoped he would win. Alas not to be.
I found the graphics a bit garish and cluttered - lots of colour but hard to make out what things actually are. The music drove me bonkers and I turned it right down.
Anyway before I finished the game I got bored and decided to end my love affair with Thryian and move on - hopefully into crashed car and a haunted manor!
I'm glad I tried the game - however its not for me and now know not to buy these sorts of games.
I hope all you princesses out there have a better love affair than I did.

You have:
~ Regular and Expert modes of play;
~ Voiceovers;
~ Notebook.
Now, if you love hidden object games, this will be heaven for you. Each HOG is done twice - with 18 to 20 items to find each time. That can be up to 40 items to find in one scene, but it is enjoyable. Some can be quite cluttered and fill the whole screen and others not so bad. They range from medium to quite hard.
The graphics are actually quite good - considering it is quite an old game. Not too gloomy or grainy.
The music is quite creepy which is repeated over and over. I turned it down cause I found it quite distracting.
The mini games are quite fun - not too hard or frustrating to do but can take a bit of time.
The story line is easy to follow - save souls. The characters are likeable and you feel like you really want to help them.
I've never used the hint button so don't know how long it takes to recharge.
I've played this game a few times now and have really enjoyed it. Definitely recommended.
I recommend this game!

Quite a good game which I've had for years. There's no bells or whistles but it will give you an afternoon of fun.
There are a lot of interactive hidden object games which you play twice to get items you need. All are very easy to see and accomplish. However if you misclick too many times the screen cracks. Oops.
The mini games you will have seen all before, but they're still fun to do.
The graphics are good - especially since its an old game. The sound is good, however the music is intensively creepy, so I turned it down.
I tried out the hint button towards the end of the game, which worked fine and recharged fast.
Definitely recommended - JUST TURN THE MUSIC DOWN!
I recommend this game!

This is the third game in this series which I think is set in Greece. The previous two are Temple of Night [Mexico] and Eclipse Mountain [Thailand]. But you don't have to play the other two games first as this one is completely separate. Such a great game and I believe this one is the best.
You have:
~ Regular, Advanced and Hardcore modes of play;
~ Voiceovers;
~ Notebook;
~ Can replay some of the mini-games.
Even though it doesn't have an achievements board or morphing objects, honestly it really doesn't matter as there is so much to do.
Once again, as with the other two games, you are switching on and off lights to go to parallel rooms [present and past]. Such a unique idea - really cool.
The HOGs are interactive - some you have to put back objects and some normal ones as well. All were clear to see and know what to do.
There are so many mini-games that it will make your head spin - awesome. I played them all with glee. I lost count how many there were but I'm sure there will be plenty you will love. Some you think will be easy - wrong. They're harder than you think but not frustrating. I didn't try to skip or get hints cause I was enjoying myself too much.
This game doesn't have an interactive map. Yes you will be running around a lot, but I love that sort of game. You don't have to go too far though.
The graphics are perfect. Its very easy to see everything and they are done very well.
The music is nice - not loud but had a nice tune and didn't bother me at all.
It took me a long time to get through the game and bonus. Many many hours for the game and about 90 minutes for the bonus. However, playing on Hardcore mode didn't allow me to skip or hint anything, so it took me longer. Not that I really noticed anyway.
Definitely recommend that you play this game - well worth your money and a definite 5 for fun.
I recommend this game!

I bought the game, going by the good reviews from it, but made a big mistake.
The graphics are just horrible. I could hardly see anything playing the HOGs which just made me grumpy.
Even though I was playing on Extreme Mode, it was still far too easy.
Its a very basic game - don't know how old it is though.
I'm now going to delete this game and put it down to a bad experience.
Please make sure you demo this game first if you are thinking of buying it.
I don't recommend this game.

You have:

~ Diary;
~ Interactive map [you can jump around];
~ Casual, Advanced and Hardcore modes of play;
~ Find 25 Castor's creatures (morphing];
~ Find 80 whale bones;
~ Read Arthur's [your twin brother] journal.
It was an okay game. In all honesty I really hated the graphics. It was just too dark and dreary everywhere which put me in a bad mood after a while.
The music just played quietly in the background.
The story line is good and the characters are likable.
The hidden object and mini-games were very easy to play. I didn't need to refer to the Strategy Guide or the Hints for help.
Overall not a bad game - just the graphics that let it down. Might be best to demo it first to see what you think.
I recommend this game!
