Someone has stolen two powerful magic doves from your kingdom, and the consequences could be disastrous. Embark on an extraordinary journey to stop the thief.
I have never been disappointed with ERS and this is no exception. Terrific game filled with so much imagination, creativity, challenge, and interaction that you don't want it to end! Characters come alive, particularly the pixie & the elf. It is such fun involvement when you are asked to name them, it's as if they really come alive. I loved the interactive HO scenes but I must say they weren't always easy. Slihouette items and finding how they fit in took some time to relate the connections. Collecting arrows for hints was also interesting cuz I didn't always know what was wanted and used a few hints to catch the drift. There were other areas that I found needed some guidance but I was not bothered by that. I welcome a challenge. Collecting of charmed kingdom inhabitants was fun, just another aspect of the game to hold interest as was the story told in parts by the Artist. Nothing was overdone. Good directional map, wonderful music which sets the tone throughout the game play. This is not a sleeper game and if you want to be challenged it is for you. A wonderfully captivating story llne, great characterization and a game that is a must buy!!
Such a fun game to play especially knowing it was based on true facts. Interesting to read of the myth of Hercules and the 12 labors. Clear and colorful graphics along with great character development. Adding the silhouette aspect to the HO scenes was fun as were the mini games. They were not too difficult, but different enough to be enjoyable. There was lots of action and things to do, one would never be bored with this game. The only thing I found annoying at times was the music. It started out light and lilting then certain parts became tiresome in its repetition, especially during HO scenes. I also enjoyed having to combine items in the inventory eg: bottle with map piece, needing a corkscrew & tweezers to get it out. All in all this is a great game, full of interesting and unique aspects. A super game for those rainy, bleak Sundays.
I was a little skeptical about trying this game as I had not been impressed with the others in the series. However, I ran the trial and found it to be the best of the bunch. It is not like the others so can easily be played on its own. I was surprised again that the developers left out the character's lip movement, which is very disappointing and to me takes away from the game's authenticity. Even though lip movement doesn't for the most part sync with the words, the effect makes the game more realistic. The storyline was okay, but I have to say I am a little bored with vampires, werewolves, ghouls etc. More imagination is needed here. HO scenes were easy as were the mini games, would be a good game for beginners. Graphics were nice and crisp with attention given to detail. Overall I enjoyed the game but was not wowed by it, It simply lacks that certain pizzazz that warrants giving a game a rave revue.
Wow, who would have ever thought that a SE game could come through like a CE and in fact even better. This game blew me away at the get go. The use of real people attracted me right off but then I was also impressed by the voice overs which interjected periodically throughout the game very appropriately. The hidden object scenes were interactive and most of the mini games were new to me and challenging. Collecting exotic plants, finding secret places with cash to buy things for your garden were just a few of the attractions this game offered. The map was very helpful, gave great direction because at times it was necessary to trace back to make sure nothing was missed. Mr. Electricity Man was a kick, well done with so much imagination, the whole game just kept going & going. A wonderful challenging game that still leaves you feeling successful in your endeavors to get to the bottom of it all. I have not been so absorbed in any game as I was with this one for a long time. I will play it over again for sure, it's a keeper!!!
With so many new CE games coming out on a regular basis it is sometimes hard to pay attention to the little SE that sneaks in on "tomorrow's game today." What one says is great, someone else will say is awful, it's all individual and based on individual preferences. This game is not a blockbuster, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I read a lot of negative reviews prior to the trial and almost passed it by, but I'm glad I didn't. Never discount any game because it will hold something for someone. That is what this game did for me...look beyond, find an essence to the story, interpret it your way, sit back and just enjoy.
Overall well done game, good effects and clear graphics. Voice overs were real, but would have preferred actual lip movement with the characters. I am not a big fan of apocalyptic stories but this one had some excitement and followed a good storyline. HO scenes fairly easy but nice challenge to some of the mini games. A little disappointed in the presentation of the prisoner, he appeared rather cartoon-like, which my have been deliberate, but in my opinion took away from his effectiveness as a character. I ran both trials and felt there was enough in the SE to win me over, but for CE fans by all means they get their monies worth. Good game, kudos to the developers once again!
