A remarkable game that presents a new twist on the HO genre that other developers should take note of. Instead of mindless searches for cats, dogs, critters, plants, cluttered objects, other countries travelogues, ---- all with last centuries' puzzles/minigames ---- Grandma Studios has taken a simple idea and brought it into 2023 with beautifully and intelligently crafted hidden object scenes with an interesting story, along with new and different puzzles that will test your abilities. And I doubt the template for this one can be used again and again ---- each game would have to be different. I hope other developers study what has been done here and learn from it. This is the kind of game that we all deserve, and restores my faith in great casual gaming.
Just another passenger on the "Me-too" train as developers rush to mimic the style that so many find "relaxing" or "soothing" (lol) or whatever.
It's just another hidden object game with puzzles from last century like spot the difference, jigsaw, turn the tiles, etc. You know, the ones that the astute developers no longer bother with.
But two things set this one apart. First, the objects to find are super tiny and indistinct. Second, the items to find for sale are just dumb ---- lip balm, capsule? Really?
This type of game was done by Playrix 15-20 years ago ---- so old you can't even buy them anymore. But these developers think this dud is CE worthy.
Sorry, this one is so bad it's laughable.
Well, that's it for me ---- I'm going to a yard sale down the street to see if there is any lip balm for sale!
If this were not a Halloween game with all the spooky references, it would just be a plain old, ordinary M3.
There's not a lot special about the game and the "exclusive" bonus minigames are certainly not "exclusive". Unless they mean exclusively OLD ---- like about 20 years ago. Connect the pipes? Really? Wasn't that one of the very first puzzles devs used long, long ago? And jigsaw? Give me a break.
So the poor minis costs this one a full star, and I very hesitantly give 3 stars, mostly because it is a Halloween game
No recommendation either way ---- try for yourself and see if it's for you
Line up gamers ---- it's time for the weekly (sometimes semi-weekly) version of the same game from ---- who else ---- Tiny Little Lion!
I did a quick count of these games just from these developers, and this is the 30th variation of this very boring game. (If fans are paying full price, that translates to 600 USD spent on what is the very same game that just gets a few tweaks with each iteration)
Seriously, how many of these Stuff/ Love Finding/ Find It/Nature/Subgames are we going to see? IMO, there are plenty and it is past time to try something else.
And to those that find it necessary to comment about the reviews of others ---- keep playing and praising these HO (and that's all they are) games and sooner than later, that's all you're going to see here at BF. And BF, don't wonder why your game club members are jumping ship when you present no more variety than these repeats.
Yes, it is just another "me too" of the games that you-know-who presents us with every week and, as such, I am not a fan. There was a time that I liked a nice hidden object game (but never at CE pricing), but there are now simply too many of them clogging up the gaming pipeline.
All that being said, I will say that this particular game outshines games of a similar ilk. It does not have that cookie-cutter, assembly line, slapped together months ago and waiting for a release date look. It does have well done HOS and the games are NOT just souped up clones of games we have seen a hundred times through the years. And we don't see one once a week.
So, although hardly original or unique, it's a nice entry of this type of game that BF has fallen in love with, and if you like spending your money on that type, try it. I've seen more than enough of this style game and crossing my fingers hoping this trend ends soon.
I have not been a big fan of Do/Domini/Relax for some time but this one shows a lot of improvement over their previous games. At least it didn't start with a zipper to fix!
The story begins with an interesting premise and the demo kept the interest level up. The visuals are excellent and the music was a spooky addition. And there is a ton of CE bonus material.
Overall, a significant step up for this group of devs, so I will buy it whenever BF gets off their self defeating policy of keeping recent games from being on sale.
Seriously, is this type of thing not potentially endless? Cats, Dogs, Furbabies, Birds, Critters, now Wild Friends? What's next? Animal friends of each country? Beloved insects? Our Amazing Protozoans? Neglected Snakes?
It is to the point of being insulting. Because this is the VERY SAME GAME as all the others. Sorry to say it, but gamers are being played, and Boomzap/Tiny Little Lion are counting the money.
And the devs are getting really sloppy ---- using the same template as all of these "Finding" games, the lack of polish shows in a glaring way. But, of course, nothing has been done to the game in terms of quality control since they put it line for release months ago, imo.
6 bonus levels? ---- try not to overwhelm us! wallpapers and music player? ---- useless exclusive mini-games?---- really? look around developer's pets? ---- this aspect is so old and uninteresting that they are showing mostly dogs and cats we saw in other games. Are those "wild friends"?
This game is pure junk and qualifies as one of the worst I have seen here at BF in my 15 or so years here. BF needs to seriously rethink this, and I wish Tiny Little Lion would be exiled to wherever it is tired, old, unimaginative devs go and quit trying to steal our money with terrible games like this.
As an aside ---- isn't it interesting to read the reviews that are more concerned with reviewing other reviews rather than being confident in their own reviews? Just saying.
I think I have admitted in another review that I am possibly the worst M3 player ever ---- but I have a lot of fun trying.
And this one is a great M3. It is original. It is well constructed around a clever story. It has a great variation on the usual M3 mechanics. It has super sharp visuals. It has a ton of CE value. And ---- they don't release one of these on a weekly basis (so unlike the developers just trying to grab some money)
IKI has made many fine games including the Suddenly Meow series and the recent delightful Nocturnarya. The care that goes into the games they create is obvious throughout.
I was beginning to wonder when BF would break their run of junker CEs and get back to great casual gaming entertainment.
Well, the long wait is over, and here is an outstanding offering for Halloween. With a good story, excellent visuals, and a creative eye on every aspect, Elephant has done a nice job with this one.
Not much else to say ---- I'm delighted that we have a familiar type of game that is NOT a throwback. After all, when you are an elephant, why pay any mind at all to a tiny little lion?
Talk about redundant, repeating yourself, and doing the same thing over and over ---- that's Tiny Little Lion or Boomzap or whoever. My least favorite developer has presented us with yet another piece of gaming junk in what I think is THE WORST GAME OF THE YEAR.
Not only is it a rehash of all their other clunkers, this time around (what, BF, about the 4th consecutive CE of this non game?) the visuals are terrible and the sound is scratchy. (Now there's a music player everyone will want ----- tinny sounding tunes that sound like a broken carousel)
Seriously, TLL, stop throwing this stuff together then throwing it at gamers and asking big bucks for it ---- you are embarrassing yourselves. This games and all like it show zero imagination, sloppy organization, and pitiful presentation. I realize this game and all like it were probably developed months ago but you could have at least put a bit of polish on it.
Sorry to those that think these games are the epitome of great gaming but I am quite sick and tired of these clunkers being offered 3 times a week, or 5 times consecutively. They are awful.
