Based on trial 2 levels, casual & expert I turned off sound because I found it slightly annoying, but that is personal taste Clear graphics, however, I found the characters somewhat stiff when they moved Interactive HOS and not too many of them, which was a plus for me Fast hint button, another plus Map, not interactive though. so a fair bit of back and forth
You have proposed to your girlfriend but have to delay your wedding because someone breaks into your house and destroys a photo album of you both. Then a note arrives from your girlfriend's brother, begging her to come back to their childhood home. The only problem: he has been dead for fifteen years. Of course you both go...
Interesting game with just enough creep, good variety of puzzles, and enough of a challenge to keep me playing the full hour. A buy for me!
Based on free trial 2 levels map fast hint button Based on Beauty and the Beast, you are sent to a remote location to recover a scroll which will free Bella from the beast. I only played 15 minutes of the trial and decided I liked this game enough to buy it. I liked the music, the voiceover and the graphics. My only complaint would be the HOS are hazy and some of the objects are hard to find. (That's why a fast hint button is a good thing) All in all, an enjoyable fairy-tale style game, and a nice change from all the dark, moody HOGs that seem to populate BFG.
Not bad but... HOS are a mixture of lists and objects, not too crowded, but dark which makes some of the objects are a bit too hard to see. Artwork looks promising at the beginning, then changes to cartoony cut scene, then back to not bad, but dark, scenes. Aerial map, which is quite helpful. I found the voiceover and music a bit annoying so I turned the volume off, but that is personal taste. Hint button charges fairly slowly. Pop out figures give you a chance to earn extra hints. The story was interesting enough to keep me playing the demo but I don't think I will be buying it.
The Brothers Grimm have assigned the task of revealing the truth behind missing children in the town of Arbourshire; it is up to you to discover the secrets of the Fairy Tale Mystery, before it is too late.
I only played 30 mins of the free trial for this game, whereas I normally will play an entire demo before making up my mind whether to buy or not. 2 levels List style HOS short, very basic tutorial (which is all that's needed) fast hint button I was disappointed with several aspects of this game. There were 3 hidden objects scenes in the first fifteen minutes I played, which is far too many for me, and they weren't interactive, so rather boring. Mini games were too easy. Having said that, the artwork is beautifully done. I also enjoyed the voiceovers, the story line and the music. This could have been a wonderful game, but for me, it fell short of the mark.
Based on the free trial. It was nice to play a game that wasn't too creepy and had a somewhat different storyline. After an accident you are in a coma and must unlock some memories, starting with the mystery of your estrangement from your now deceased mother. Interactive HOS, good story and nice artwork make this a fun, if somewhat easy, game and one I will recommend and probably purchase myself.
Based on the free trial. After receiving a letter from your friend, you travel to a remote island inn to meet her. When you go to her room she has vanished and the innkeeper denies she was ever there. You find her name has been erased from the ledger and set off to find her. Of course it is night time and incredibly creepy. Two levels of play. Integrated Strategy Guide. Unobtrusive voice over Beautiful artwork. No HO lists in the trial. Instead you must find objects by silhouette and only about 7 or 8 or less at a time. I enjoyed this game although at first I found some of the mini games a little confusing, but figured them out and began to have fun with them. Some were very easy, others just needed a good eye. I will be buying this one!
I recommend this game!

Journey: The Heart of Gaia
After being kidnapped, Liz must free the Underworld from the tyranny of Scartaris Umbra.
Based on the free trial. The basic story line is about a girl, Liz, who is kidnapped from her grandfather's home one night. Her kidnapper, however, drops her (I wasn't sure if it was deliberate or not) and she lands in the underworld. She must try and get home but not before she helps the inhabitants who are being terrorized by Scartaris Umbra. Visually the artwork in this game is a bit simplistic compared to other games on the market, but it's bright and colourful. Two levels of play. Voiceover and music. Interactive map. Earn 'powers' as you rescue inhabitants. No lists (at least in the trial) but you need to collect items as you go. Lots of puzzles, some fairly hard, others very simple. All in all, a fun little game to pass the afternoon and one I will be buying.
I recommend this game!

Guardians of Magic: Amanda's Awakening
Open your eyes to a wondrous world in Guardians of Magic: Amanda's Awakening, a spectacular adventure of science and spell-casting.
Cute game with tons of puzzles. Clear, colourful graphics. No HOS. Instead you must collect spells and parts of gadgets. Played the entire demo. Light and entertaining game. Great way to spend a rainy afternoon.
Played the demo and decided to buy the game. The story line is nothing new, and the game is nothing impossible, but I liked the artwork and the many puzzles, and overall thought it was a fun game. So far, this game is worth the money.
Your friend, Mary, disappears and it's up to you to save her. Uncover an exotic land with unearthly secrets as you find and help your friend leave the flying island.
I played the demo and immediately bought this game! I am a huge fan of FROG as opposed to list HOG and am always thrilled when I find one. The graphics start off sort of cartoony but as you move into the story they become crisp and beautifully drawn, reminiscent of the Awakening series, or Dream Chronicles. Nothing really startling about the story line, but there are a few nice little twists in there to keep you on your toes, as well as lots of puzzles. Music is sort of background, slightly spooky. Good voice overs. Excellent game so far. Well worth the money! FROG fans will not be disappointed.
