Based on the trial:
4 levels-casual, normal, expert. custom
Jump map
Journal (that I never used)
Strategy guide
5 slides to collect in each scene; in obvious places.
Little fellow called Smudge to help lift the heavy stuff. I didn't find him at all annoying and quite liked his voice.
Two inventories- one for when you are in paintings, and one for when you are not. Disappointing that they are not interchangeable
Quite a mixture of mini games/puzzles, which I found relatively easy, but some quite original
Mostly very BORING list style HOS, plus silhouettes, FROG etc.
Your paintings have come to life and kidnapped your wife and daughter!
I liked the artwork a lot in this game; also enjoyed the concept of travelling into the paintings.
I was torn between giving the game a 3 or 4 star rating, mainly because of the BORING list style HOS, but I realise many gamers enjoy them, so this is just a personal preference. If I could split the stars I would give it a 3.5.
And because of that I won't be buying the CE, but will wait for the SE to come out.
As always, play the trial and decide for yourself. That's what it's there for.
I recommend this game!

Based on part of the trial
Three levels; no custom choice.
6 chapters plus a bonus chapter
The first HOS was a list type with optional mahjong
The second HOS was silhouettes
Plenty of puzzles and quite varied, but all easy; flip the triangles to unjumble the picture; put the coloured stones in the correct place etc etc
Aside from the dreadful voices, (the niece's voice right at the the beginning made me grit my teeth) I was not a fan of the artwork. The backgrounds are quite nice, but then it appears as if photos of real people are the characters. Their lips move when they talk, but they have zero expression on their faces. I thought they seemed glaringly out of place.
The music drove me insane, and the poor grammar (..a toy like this is more interesting when its winded...) ruined the game for me and I only lasted 15 minutes into the trial.
Other people might have completely different opinions though, so as usual, play the demo and decide yourself.
I don't recommend this game.

Based on the trial.
Again, this is one of those trials that allows 90 minutes of play where it is certainly not needed. The trial took me less than half that time.
Great opening. The music is beautiful, as is the artwork, and I immediately felt drawn in and wanted to play the game. So props for a great start up.
I loved the scenery throughout the trial though the animation is a bit clumsy, and the lips don't move when the characters talk, which is a pet peeve of mine.
I only came across one list HOP., which was fine with me.
Since I always get rid of the sparkles, a couple of times I stumbled across scenes that were actually puzzles. There are lots of them, but they are all fairly easy.
I liked the music, though the whispering is a bit creepy and got on my nerves after a while.
There are coins to collect at the beginning and you can use them to buy items from a strange character on a hillside. There are also crowns in every scene, so collect them too.
The story is nothing new; royal person has to save the kingdom, blah blah blah, but overall I found the game entertaining and would have liked to play a little longer.
I don't think this game should be a CE and as such, I won't be buying it. But I might spring for the SE when it comes out.
As always, please play the trial yourself before deciding. We all like different aspects of these games.
I recommend this game!

Based on trial.
Not sure why the trial is 90 minutes but takes less than 30 to play, but, having said that, the game was mediocre; not much of a challenge though. I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 because the artwork is lovely.
The HOS to play in the short, short demo were progressive sillhouettes or finding similar items. Easy, easy, easy. After a while I got bored and played match 3.
Didn't like the little fairy person, or the costumes you need to find for her to help you.
There are coins and olives to collect .
Animation is a bit stiff, especially when one of the character walks away. I actually laughed at this part.
Strange story, definitely different, but not in a good way. Not sure what it means 'collecting the essence' of a Muse.
Not a buy for me. Maybe the SE when it comes out, if I have a free game credit.
But everyone has different taste, so play the trial yourself. I promise, it won't take very long!
I don't recommend this game.

The story and puzzles were okay, I suppose; nothing to write home about. That could be forgiven but the poor quality of everything else was so bad I couldn't even play the game.
There was irrelevant text; scenes where background just turned black and huge pauses between scenes, even after reloading the game several times. Finally I just gave up.
Glad this was a free game, because I'd be asking for my money back if I'd paid for it.

This game is a stand alone-sequel to 'The Secret Order: Masked Intent' and employs the same basic premise; you must travel back in time via the magical ship 'The Royal Griffin'. This time it is to destroy artifacts that have become unstable and are threatening to destroy the world.
Excellent graphics and music
Story is nothing new, but is well done
Strategy guide
HOS can be switched into mahjong game, which is always a plus for me
Lots of collectibles: 12 amethyst griffins, 12 golden dragons, 12 turquoise unicorns, plus you adopt a baby griffin who can reach things for you. There are also achievements, the standard " finish a puzzle in 3 minutes" etc
I was hooked by the opening, especially the dramatic soundtrack. Loved, loved, loved it!
I played the entire demo and was disappointed when it finished. After travelling for 3 months, and only having sporadic internet, I was happy to find a game I wanted almost as soon as I got home, so this is a definite buy for me!
As always, play the demo and decide for yourself. We all have different taste, and the demo is there for a reason.
I recommend this game!

I would have given this game 5 stars, because it really is a gem, but the woman's voice drove me nuts and I finally turned the volume to low. Plus the mouths don't move when the characters speak, which is a pet peeve of mine. So 4.5 is my overall rating.
Previous reviews have already recapped the story, so I won't do it again.
In the CE there are:
6 chapters, plus a bonus chapter
20 morphing objects to find
strategy guide
jump map
variety of HOS, with some as lists, some as pictorals. All the ones I did were interactive
lots of puzzles; some I'd never come across before
directional hint button
2 levels
beautiful artwork
I love stories where you leap from world to world, whether it's through a portal, painting, whatever. I also like having an object, artifact in this case, that you collect parts for.
This is a buy for me.
As always, this is just my personal opinion, and potential buyers should try the free trial and make up their own mind :)
I recommend this game!

This game is a sequel to Botanica: Into the Unknown; the story of Ellie who, in search of her missing father, has found herself stranded on the strange planet of Botanica. Although the game is an obvious continuation, there are plenty of flashbacks, so it is probably not necessary to have played the first game. However, as a player who DID play the first game in the series, I found the flashbacks intrusive and annoying. And although other developers put out games that are sequels they are mostly stand alone games with different adventures as opposed to continuations requiring flashbacks. Having said that, I found the game quite enjoyable
The artwork and music are fairly well done.
Plenty of puzzles, but really nothing new
List style HOS, interactive and quite challenging
15 achievements
50 ladybugs to collect
Apart from that, the CE offers cutscenes, soundtrack and wallpaper.
Although I played the CE of the first game, I think I will wait for the SE this time. As always, this is just my opinion. Please play the trial and decide yourself :)
I recommend this game!

Your writer husband has been arrested in connection with a series of murders that are eerily similar to crimes described in his latest books. It is up to you to clear his name. Along the way, you will save a few lives.
4 levels; casual, advanced, hardcore and custom
Interactive Map
Strategy Guide
25 teapots and 40 fingerprints to collect
Cluttered, only faintly interactive HOS, but quite easy
Some new puzzles
Artwork reminiscent of the 30's
I found the storyline refreshingly different and played the entire hour of the trial. However, because I find cluttered list style HOS, no matter how easy, quite distracting and faintly annoying, I think I will wait for the SE to purchase this game. I wish more developers would jump on the bandwagon and give players an option, ie match 3 etc instead of HOS.
As always, play the demo and decide for yourself.

Based on the free trial
Your sister has been kidnapped by the crooked man and his crooked cat, and it is up to you to rescue her. Along the way you will meet, and possibly save, other young girls who have also been kidnapped by the same villain.
3 levels; casual, normal and hard
Prologue plus 4 chapters plus bonus chapter.
Interactive map
Integrated strategy guide
HOS, few and far between and of the FROG variety, which is my favourite
Beautiful graphics
Enjoyable music, no need to turn down the volume
Good voiceovers...and the lips move!
Plenty of puzzles, some of them quite tricky
CE has all the usual extras; soundtrack. wallpaper, strategy guide, extra gameplay, plus 20 morphing objects
I am having a hard time finding anything negative to say about this game. Perhaps there could have been more extras to persuade buyers to purchase the CE instead of the SE, but personally I think it's worth the money. Great game. I LOVED it and will definitely be adding it to my collection.
So...once again...hats off Blue Tea Games!
As I always say, this is only my opinion. Try the demo yourself before deciding.
I recommend this game!
