This was an okay game. Nothing special. You would think match three games are pretty much the same. But I have found some to be exciting and challenging.

I wanted a calming match three game. The first few levels of the game were very simplistic. Then it got more interesting. The problem is, the game has a slow response. This became frustrating.
If you don't mind the game taking its own time to respond to you, then by all means purchase it. I might get it, if it goes on sale, but I won;t pay full price.

I made the mistake of trying to play this with headphones on. I'm not squeamish. In fact, I love this stuff. But the headphones made things a little too intense. That's how good it was.
I only played the demo version but I really want to buy this and play it to the end.

I have bought several of the Heroes of Hellas games. They have been fun, but this one is a dud.
Some of the illustrations are cartoony and below par compared to the other games in the series. But the biggest problem is, there is no way out once you start a puzzle. You are trapped and must complete it.That is a big turn off.
Another problem is, there is no opening story. You just start playing with no introduction as to what is going on.
I don't recommend it unless you are willing to complete every puzzle you start.

There is a lot of reading in this game and many still illustrations. The story is lame. In between there are puzzles to be solved. After you solve the puzzles you get a jigsaw puzzle to solve. Then more written story, more puzzles and another jigsaw. This repeats and repeats until it gets tiring.
The goal of the game is to restore the ship. I haven't finished yet because I simply got tired of playing the same puzzles over and over.

This game was really fun. I like the spooky aspect. I found the graveyard music actually soothing. The design and animation was really good. Not too creepy, not too childish.
Here are the things I found frustrating. I couldn't figure out what to do with the items in the full chest. I couldn't buy anything with them. The chest kept filling up so I kept buying bigger chests; but what good does that do when the tokens can't be used for anything? The shop only accepted gold coins.
The gems could be used to buy things but I couldn't collect enough of them. I never got to buy one extra item for the castles. I never got to play any bonus games either.
There were an awful lot of spell bottles, rocks, snails, beetles, turtles, ghosts, mechanical boxes, and a slew of items that could have appeared on the board. Each one had a different rule. Some never appeared in the game.
There are 90 levels. The earlier Jewel game I have has 100.
I've finished the game and will go thorough it again. This time I hope to get the hang of collecting more gems. As I have already written; it was fun.

This is unlike any game I have seen. It beats your typical match three or HOG. IMO it beats any similar type of game (except MYST).
It's eerie and creepy and wonderfully frustrating. Don't let the simple line drawings on manila paper fool you. This is intense fun. Even the simple lullaby music is deceptively creepy.

This game has a story, but it is told to you.
For the most part there are piles of junk that you must go look through. You must pick out the pieces that look alike. This can be timed or untimed. I failed on the timed segment because I could not pick out the matching pieces fast enough. Apparently, You must find all the matching pieces before the timer stops, or you will have to play that segment over and over again. The game will not progress until you finish the segment.
I found this tedious and boring so I disabled the timer.
There are other games like puzzle pieces. That was better, but I still found the overall game a bore.
