Sometimes you just want to have FUN and Tiki's Lab delivers in the bucketful with this one. Cartoonish to the MAX with hours of wonderful inventive problem solving to get to the top of the tower. HOs are creative and the creepy stuff in them are so fun to look at it's almost hard to look at the list (interactive a lot!) The most out of the box game I've played in it seems like forever. Snarky cat makes humorous remarks.. don't miss that.. you want to read stuff cause it's fun. As others have said you get to decide who's telling the truth... now I've got to go replay it with a different ending. 5 PLUS stars from me!
LOVED the live actors, speech in sync. 15 yo grandson quit playing games with me some time ago but when he saw me replaying this game he asked, "is this from the same people as 13th skull?" (his favorite) and told me "next time I come I want to play this". Hooray! Lesta games vs his laptop games! He and I both dislike junkpile slightly interactive HOs but ALL the items on the lists were interactive and challenging.. Other developers take note on this one....... Can't WAIT for the next game from Lesta. (was it all a dream or what?)
Wow! what a great game.. LOVE the live actors with the in sync lip movements. Hesitated to buy until the bugs were fixed and the game play was smooth except for two places where the action "hesitated" briefly. I was so caught up in the gameplay I forgot to read the storyline (so doing it now by replaying)
I wish developers would let us go back into our finished games and read let us re-read the journals.....
Fantastic game and kudos to the developer for bringing us something new to the table! Will be on the lookout for more from them.
I don't understand why this game hasn't gotten better reviews. I loved it, was challenged, the HOs were totally interactive (until you got toward the end of the game and then they got "lazy" and reverted back to standard list types)
I should have reviewed right after I played the game so I could say more about it but I loved the game and bonus and will definitely play this one again!
I own all the other Myths games... wasn't crazy about any of them so had my doubts about this one which were QUICKLY put to rest !!!! Eipix has absolutely overdone themselves with this one. (for trouble withthe sig ring.. look to the forum for that help! thank you BF forums/members) From the opening scene it was like stepping into an adult fairy tale book. The voice overs were so so well done.. Irish brogues and all that.. the scenery, and something I have to compliment Eipix for is the GREAT HOs... we're not just playing hidden object scenes where you stare at the screen and click around. They really added some nice twists and for the HOs I didn't want to play I had a bubble shooter game which I loved. (but when I saw the hidden obj scene had changed I would go back and see what was happening for the completion of the HO... the picture of a caterpiller or worm over the top of a house really had me stumped!!! some fun stuff) Gosh, I loved all the characters and the leprechaun was my favorite. Forgot how long it took to play the main game (close, anyway to 4 hrs. for me) and the bonus took another hour or so. I didn't find all the shoes but can go back and find those collectible if I want. there's replayable hos and bubble shooter and another game where you draw a constellation in the CE.
Eipix, put out another one like this and you have me for life!!!
because I was a less experienced player when I demo'd the CE I made a note about this game that I had to use too many hints. While I was unable to go back and demo it again b/c my trial was up, I demo'd the SE and was getting around quite well this time without the overuse of hints. (I wish we were able to re-demo after a certain length of time)
This game appeared to have come out in 2012 (oldest review I saw) but felt like a much older game and I LIKED it. There was no jump map to move the game quickly from place to place.. I had to think about things, solve problems, and remember where I needed to go next. For someone who detests standard slightly interactive list HOs I didn't mind these at all b/c they were easier on the eyes and I found myself relaxing during this game..not in such a hurry to use a jump map and get somewhere else. Maybe these older games seem longer for this reason? Dunno but I played a good 4 hours and am now wondering what else I've missed.... SE ends conclusively.
Your librarian friend wants your help as a journalist – he’s found an ancient book that is still unfinished. Can you save the world in the book before their story ends?
I didn't enjoy the storyline of the main game as much mainly because of the snarling grotesque "demon" of a thing which early on in the game told me to DIE. ugh!
But the bonus game was without it and we see the rabblit chasing his hat from one portal to the next. I loved obtaining the pages to the next book to enter and there were 4 in the bonus. There seemed to be much to do and I found it more challenging than the main, too.
So I'm not sorry I bought the CE .. for the bonus game alone it was worth it.
I recommend this game!

Dark Dimensions: Somber Song Collector's Edition
Townspeople flee as the black smoke covers their town. Can you close the dark dimension, before it’s too late?
As much as I enjoyed the game I think I never got around to reviewing it. The match 3 is so challenging that I left the icon on my desktop so I could play it often. At first glance I thought it would be easy... not so ! love it!
The HOs I absolutely ADORED.. not one single slightly intereactive list..... EVERY HOs was the progressive type with everything on the LIST interactive... very challenging!
The puzzles.. I skipped the majority b/c I detest puzzles where one thing affects the other but the skip was fairly quick.
While the bonus game wasn't needed except for some redemption, I thoroughly enjoyed the game

The only 2 negatives for me were the horrible "acting" of Sasha who voice was almost monotone and the so so tiny hidden objects but luckily there was no click penalty.
I swear I played on casual mode but never saw a sparkle which turned out to be great for me...I actually enjoyed it more because I had to carefully search each scene for a magnifying glass to show up and there were so many in each scene! (unlike some developers who go to all the trouble of creating fantastic scenes only to find one or two interactions in each) I know I counted 8 interactions in one scene to either do or come back to.
I should have begun my review by saying that when I saw the name of the developer I thought "uh oh" this is going to be jam packed with puzzles but much to my delight they were more like mini games to me and I loved them all !
Since I don't care for morphing objs, and other "extras" the bonus game was enough for me to purchase this game on sale and it took me a few days to finish it, taking some long breaks. The bonus game was probably only 45 mins long for me but it seemed to end the series? I HOPE not!
After waiting years for a new Royal Detective game I couldn't even finish the demo. I had to go back and replay some of the original to put my finger on what was so special about the first game...... Missing in this game was..... a wonderful storyteller with the most wonderful narration and voice, the humor ! with the statues coming to life, and I think the original was the first time I was ever presented with a helper (in the form of a rooster also come to life from a weather vane). Have to agree with a reviewer who said it looked like the developer took a step backward instead of presenting us with something new in the form of gameplay (especially the BORING HOs..when will they become creative??) This is a no buy for me... not even as an SE..... yawn !!
