Played the long awaited next installment of my favorite series over the weekend and am having a hard time to find the words to describe how much FUN it was. Played all day on a Saturday thinking it would be a quick finish on Sunday only to be surprised with a "wait there's more" moment! It took me by such surprise that I am still not sure whether that extra took place in the past or in the future but I'm hoping it was the future because it would mean Mr. Dudley might be back... and his reign of terror isn't over after all. One can only hope. At any rate..... KUDOS to the developer for one outstanding series and one long, funtastic SE !!!
Reveal the twisted plan of a deranged magician who has his own Vendetta against the world! And uncover a secretive world of magicians and discover the power they have held and passed down through the centuries!

Seeing in 2014 that this game was available for a DD I couldn't remember having played this game but I did own it so replayed it. A very enjoyable morning playing this retro game. Hidden object scenes didn't have a misclick penalty which I appreciated especially since I'm no longer a fan of standard slightly interactive lists. The gameplay was great with some quirky parts. Seemed to be a very good length for a SE, too. Now I'm going to go see if I have another Shattered Minds game to replay. (oh and I didn't even realize I HAD a map until the very end in my journal... don't know when I picked that up but didn't really need it since I enjoyed the backtracking)

Most fabulous game ever (aside from Cadenza) and would like to thank the forum members who helped me defeat the dragon. (even though I did have to restart the game to accomplish it correctly)
I would have given this game 5 stars but the bonus chapter seemed like such an afterthought, was short, and ended abruptly.

I purchased this game fully intending to play it later when my 11 yo granddaughter arrived and we sat down and played it together. There are no voice overs but plenty of reading, played without music. The graphics were a little stretched on my screen. But despite the older feel to the game it was a FUN afternoon!! There was so much interaction in each scene (unlike some newer games where the graphics are so beautiful but there's little to do in each scene). For the experienced player this might be considered a short game. I didn't find it so... or I was having too much fun to notice it. As others have said, the hos were bright and not junk piles. A lovely afternoon...... and it being almost November I know I will be replaying it with other grandchildren before Christmas arrives... I give this 5 candy stars
I am one of the rare few who don't care for a lot of the CE bling such as morphing, achievements, etc. as it's the game play and fun factor that draws me to a game and this one hit that mark.
I played with music turned way down as that was a distraction but I had 4 hours of absolute delight with no standard HOs during the main game (only find and use progressives which are my favorite).
The gameplay was running away from the bad guys and finding out more about why they wanted him so badly. His paranormal abilities were a big help (just remember to ask him to help you). Fantastic storyline.. finally a "grownup" game and one I personally have never come across before.
The bonus game was JUST as fun and for me lasted about an hour and a half. I didn't even mind the more standard HOs because I was intrigued with rescuing the next precocious child and everything I had to do in order to succeed.
I played in the medium mode for a little more challenge and didn't use the jump map except when I was completely stumped and couldn't remember where to go next.
Some say not worthy of CE because of no "bling" but if you are more interested in storyline and game play then this one might be for you, too.
The bonus game was great and you find out the connection between the scarecrows. LOVED having to play the match 3 game against the opponent. challenging twist!
I didn't find all the owls to play the extra bonus game but you are allowed to go back to find them in that game. HOWEVER I didn't see any hints to find them so collect them as you go if you can.
All in all a very good game and the CE was well worth it to me. HOURS of fun!

the review title about says it all. I did not care for the demo in the first game of the series so didn't purchase it. This game, however caught my interest right away. Love the realism mixed with computer graphics.. soo much to do.. most of the puzzles were doable for me (and I usually end up skipping) map worked great although I rather try to remember where to go and what to do and walk it.. hint system works fine. I was able to switch between the standard interactive HOs and a majohng game.
I estimate it took me between 5-6 hours to complete and I understand there might be a 3rd game to the series which I will definitely purchase after enjoying this one so much.

If it weren't for my favorite imp I probably wouldn't play this series. Some are getting tired of the imp but there are probably many like me who love him. As a helper he's fun to watch while performing the duty or attempting then waiting for you to give him something to help him.
The story was ok.. now go and save your fiance...but inventory items used too quickly for the most part with having little need to use the map.
Will probably continue to purchase these games as long as I have my imp.
I recommend this game!

Bought 2 witch games, thinking this would be my least favorite of the two this past weekend only to discover it was my favorite.
After playing the demo I thought I wouldn't like this game but got it as a bogo and to my delight it was the far better game as to the length and challenge of having to figure out what to do and where to go.
I am a player who prefers to not use the map unless absolutely necessary because walking thru different locations reminds me of what needs to be done there.. but in this game you don't find something and immediately use it in the next location and there were so many locations that at times I had forgotten there even WAS that location waiting for me so the map was very helpful.
Standard HOs which could have been improved upon and mixed up but the gameplay after I got past the demo was excellent.
Bring on more witch hunters... bring your family back together.. Great game

LOVE, LOVE this game! Bought the CE but...
The gameplay was super and fun... much better, imho than more recent offerings. Especially loved the HOs which were not your standard lists. Skipped a lot of puzzles because I get too impatient but thank goodness for the custom mode where I could set for fast skip.
I did NOT like the gadget (to zap the magic barriers) where you had to set it to certain numbers to activate it but once again the fast skip helped. But loved the lamp that took you into an alternate environment.
For me the gameplay is the most important and I did spend hours trying to rescue the kidnapped daughter.
There's a map that will show you where you have an active objective but I tried the hint button and it showed you the scene and was transportable. I didn't have to use either too often.
This offering has made me want to go back and play again... which I'm doing so if you'll excuse me........
