..which I dont like.. it seems like it will go on and on, just like some other series that is neverending. Kate the main character is now replaced by another main character in this game, and Kate suddenly disappears without trace. How can someone who was the main character in 3 games suddenly vanished and seems to lose all her power? The interface is the same as in previous games. The story doesn't engage me, I dont really like robots and such, so this game doesn't really interest me. The characters also talk so much. Extras in this game is same like other games, so if you are not into them, I'd suggest just buy the SE instead. I am still unsure whether I will buy the SE or not, but definitely CE is no buy for me, sorry :(

I have their previous games but this one I dislike.. they change the way they do their game., it's no longer dark and mysterious like other games in their series.. it's like any other HO games with monsters to destroy.. boring. Well they use their original VO for the guy and the sound for the game but that's all I can think about that's similar. The others all have changed :( the characters moved so stiff, sometimes talking with no expression. The map is interactive. I also dislike how they give extras in this game.. a supposedly mysterious and dark game and yet they give extras of collectibles to fill in furniture with fish and aquarium. It becomes a childish game. Too bad this enough makes me decided not to buy this game.

I own the previous two games in the series and I love them, but unfortunately not so much on this one.. The game is rather dark to see, but instead of being dark and black, it's purplish dark. I see purple everywhere. I like the theme magician, but interaction with character is minimal. The game play and puzzles are easy, and I don't even use the strategy guide except for checking where I am in the game. There is morphing crystal game objects to collect but they are very easy to spot. The hidden objects is the usual simple find objects and click on them. I like that it is easy but I am sorry to say that I will skip this game.

I have played previous Redemption Cemetery games before and after years of playing, I would say this series really has no much improvement and development in terms of game story, music and visual. Always the same from the very first game in the series up to now. Kind of disappointing especially if you are looking for something new. The usual crows and ghost surrounding the cemetery are old story. I don't mind them, but time machine, it's too old for me. Is there no other ideas on this game except going into time wrap and save the souls? what else is new? The sound and VO although not bad, leave no impression. I finished the demo in just 30 minutes from the generous 90 minute time limit given. I can imagine how short this game will be. I think I will pass this game, not even sure if I ever want to buy the game even if it's on discount. Please do better next time, ERS..
A game by Vendel Games There are 3 levels of difficulties.
I dont think I have heard of this game developer before but I like this game because it happens in a castle. I always love games involving castle and medieval stuff. The story is set in England. VO is not bad, there are some surprising moments but not scary. HOGs are of many different variety. Love them. Puzzles are also not that difficult. Bonus contents are the usual variety but it makes more fun by collecting puzzle pieces. I find this game a great change from the usual witches and asylum stories.
This is the fifth game in the Dana Knightstone series by Boom Zap.
DK games series always portray lovers and their tragic death, and this time is no difference but probably more gruesome, beware..
I had trouble with the cutscenes, maybe it's my computer, but it's stopping and the voice and the scene just don't match, it progresses really slowly. There are many talking and speaking, and although the VO is good, I don't really like the overwhelming amount of speaking involved in this game.
There is a ghost dog which helps along the way, although it's very cute in the beginning, progressing it just help fetching stuff in high places. The story starts unfolding but I regret that I have to see what happen with the main character's death, which I am hoping to see more later in the game. I am not sure if I want to buy this game, because the bonus contents are all the usual stuff, and I have trouble with the game loading. I maybe have to try the SE and see whether it has the same problem.
In the meantime if you like classical romance, you may like this one. I am a bit disappointed that I don't feel Romania at all while playing the demo of this game. I thought it happens somewhere in medieval England or something. There's nothing that carries the theme Romania.
Among the games in the series, this probably my favorite. I like how the story flows slowly without dragging too much, and not too dark. HOGs are the usual variety but there are Match-2 games switch if you dont want to play hidden objects.
The graphics are fine, but I thought there are too many cutscenes for almost everything. The VO is also changed from previous games, this time it's very slow, timid, and sorry to say, does not match the character at all. The lips don't move, so it adds to the awkwardness.
The game is very easy in general, I didn't use the SG at all. The map, unfortunately is compliated with too many dots and it is difficult to see the active icons because of that. It is all packed together in one scene, so I had trouble viewing it, and finally just move one between scenes without using the map.
I think this game is good for beginner, and since this game carries the usual stuff of extras, I will maybe buy the game when the SE comes out.
The seventh game in the Mystery Trackers game series by Elephant Games. There are 4 levels of difficulties in this game.
This game is fairly creepy, mainly because of the ghost that shows up unexpectedly in the opening scene. The main character, in contrary is rather passive, like damsel in distress. As usual, she is kidnapped and we have to save her. Nothing new here.
The game image and music as usual are superb, EG quality. You will surely notice that the game music is similar in all of their games, but I didn't really care. VO is fine, they no longer use live actor so it's good. But although in image and music quality they are beyond many developers, they didnt change the way they do HOPs, they are the usual find objects and sometimes combining items. Those who like diversity will find this boring and too old style.
Bonus contents are also the usual stuff, except for collectibles, I don't see anything worthy of extra $9.99 for them if their gameplay is always the same.
Those wanting to buy please try the demo first.

PuppetShow: Lightning Strikes Collector's Edition
The women of Paris are being turned into puppets! Can you find out who's pulling the strings?
I always loved the Puppet Show series, I have them all, they are dark, creepy and simply unique. But I suppose the developer has exhausted all game ideas, making it sequels after sequels, at the point where it's getting boring and just way too forced. When this one came out, it offers a totally new storyline, except for the spider puppet and the same old background music, you will feel you are playing an entirely different game.
But just 5 minutes into the game, you'll realize it is different. You will immediately see that the graphic has significantly improved, but the game interface... will make you disappointed in a way, like whether or not this game is going up or terribly gone wrong.
First, the mini games and HOG, they are not the most original of style. I am sure I have seen those styles before. And the VO.. surely is not French, I don't mind this, but I think there are almost no expression at all, no feeling of rush, scared, fear, happy, in it. There are also way too many hints for you to search for items. I don't know how to turn it off, it seems to be built into the game automatically. I don't this those hints as I want to search myself. It feels like the game is geared towards new gamers or young children.
There are also too many cutscenes. My game goes slow after that, and I dislike it. You also have to collect coins in piggy banks which you can use to restore an Eiffel Tower or Statue of Liberty. For what, you wonder. So do I. It has nothing to do with the game, only for fun. The other extras in the game are the same old stuff. You won't miss them even though you don't buy the CE.
Overall, I like their ideas but hate the new concept. I wish they just go back to their dark atmosphere of the game. They are changing way too many things in this game. Sorry, will pass on this one.
Second games in the Nevertales series by Mad Head Games ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 4 levels of difficulties and three stories: main, bonus and hidden chapters.
If you forgot or haven't played their first game, there's a review of it on the main menu. The story continues on with more adventures and more bad guys.
The graphic, as usual, is stunning. Mini games are not difficult but it was original, mostly it is about filling in the story.
Bonus contents are also abundant, there are many new things to do once you finished the game. This game is going to last for a long time, there are many things to do. Definitely one of the best games of the year.
