... thanks by playing this game. I own the previous Mystery of the Ancient Games and they never failed to disappoint and this time, too. The story is not so strong but the gameplay is rather easy, with easy puzzles and HOG so it's perfect for me. The VO is good too. The monsters remind me of one of those in Disney Hercules, they are not so scary looking but they add to more suspense of the game.
The extras however is very few. If you just want to enjoy the game, I suggest purchasing the SE. It is a good game and probably will be good to play in hot summer days :)
I recommend this game!

I own the first game in the series (Asylum Conspiracy) and that's it so I know a bit about the background of the story, but the graphic has totally changed from the first one, I almost didn't recognize them. I prefer the first game graphic though, more colors, less gloomy.
The puzzles are especially easy even for me who don't like puzzles. The HOG is also very simple and easy to solve. Map is interactive. There are 4 modes of difficulty. Extras are the same old same old, only I couldn't really find the collectibles. Actually nothing really special about this game.
For me as a CE maybe it's not so worth it so I think I will just buy the SE.
You've been asked to cover a highly anticipated competition in New York City when something goes terribly wrong. Can you escape the world of illusions?

Although there are many magicians game out there this game is probably a winner. I love how much magic tricks there are from the beginning to the end. There are tricks card to collect. Puzzles and HOG are moderate, not too difficult but not too easy either. Especially love how clear the graphics are. The VO is good too. Those who like suspense games but not a game too dark,this game is truly recommended!
I recommend this game!

.. I couldn't convince myself to buy this game, not sure why. Actually this fantasy action adventure is good. It is set in Egypt, pretty nice! The map is interactive, the puzzle is moderately difficult, but I couldn't buy this game because it lacks thrill. I don't know much about the story and suddenly we are thrown into the game without much background story and basically I just wandering around trying to fix things. Our helper, Nubi, is cute, but still it couldn't save the game for me. I hope many people will find this game interesting, but I will have to skip this game.
I don't recommend this game.
The legacy of the witches continues when Lynn and her husband are lured into a trap by a mysterious sorcerer…

I think the storyline is draggish.. as always, an evil witch trying to take over the world, and a couple who is in in love trying to save the other. It is nothing new here :(
I like the imp, if only he has no glowing green eyes which creep me out.. it looks like he's doing most of the work.
The puzzles and HOGs are okay but they to me seems to be there to extend the game play. The graphic is okay, fuzzy in my opinion and not sharp like most new games are.
Extras are the usual, wallpaper, music, concept art.. nothing new here, too. The game left little for me to be desired and sadly I have to skip this one. Apologize to the game dev but this is my opinion. You might like this game so I'd suggest you to give it a try first.

I own all the games in the series but I haven't decided whether I should buy this game. I like that this game is set in Louisiana and the game is dark and creepy (the background music is similar to my favorite horror movie), but it lacks suspense and thrill. The suspect, I am sorry to say is not scary enough.. There are detective works but too bad we are not the one doing the deduction, the game does it for us. A very few works for Elf, it's like he's not very much use in this game.
there are many changes in this game, unlike any other EG games. The HOG, the custom difficulty, the interaction with the character just seem different. Some are good, although I dislike the option of clicking topics each time we need new info from the characters. But still there is good side of this game, I like the new Sighting feature which is pretty cool.
If you are a hardcore fan of MT, I suppose this should be in your collection, a great game nonetheless, but if you just like a dark mystery game, we better wait for the SE.

I have always loved games by Eipix so this one is also a definite one I like. I love questioning suspects, doing detective works, etc. A detective game doesnt have to be dark and gloomy. Even on bright atmosphere you can also do some snooping. Although it lacks suspense and the graphic is not as clear as their other games, this game delivers good storyline, which is more important.
A definite buy. If you don't mind the Extras, an SE is also worth buying. Anyway don't miss this game.
I recommend this game!

Of all the Puppetshow games, I think this one has the most thrill, excitement and creepiness, so well done ERS! I prefer this kind of game instead of dragging along with evil characters on and on. The excitement from the beginning of the end of the demo just keep me wanting to know more.
The extras are the usual, so if you are content with just the main game, I suggest you wait for the SE. The game is fairly easy, you dont have to really use the SG. I find the VO fit the characters, the puzzles although a bit easy is good for me as I am not a puzzle lover. The gender selection at the beginning of the game is a good new twist. I expect many other games will follow suit. So, definitely a game worth playing!

I installed everything as instructed with Direct X (which seldom I encounter these days). Everything seemed well during the first 40minutes of trial, but then error started showing up like small black boxes on the map, then it's getting worse to the point where all screen are just black. I am disappointed as I almost at the end of the demo. I can't even navigate through the exit menu because it's all black. I have to uninstall the game right away.
So far I dont see any much difference with the previous games in the series. From collecting shamrocks, the portal, the gameplay are all same. Characters are ok, voice overs are good, I am surprised there is singing too. The HOg is still mostly easy. Extras are the usual stuff. I am okay with this game if only there is no graphic error throughout the end of the game which turn me off. Not sure if it's my computer fault but this is the first time I encounter such things. I dont think I will buy this, sorry.

Dark Tales game series by ERS never failed to impress me. The series is probably my favorite among all games from this game dev. I feel dark and gloomy yet feel curious as well to solve the mystery.
The game interface, puzzles, background music and voice overs are the same, which may sound boring, but I have grown into liking it.
There are the usual extras but if you are just into the game, SE would probably be sufficient, as I will buy the SE myself to add the game to my collection. I hope ERS will make another game in the series soon!
I recommend this game!
