My new favorite game. I know the story might seem a bit on the psycho side, but have seen worse on TV. I like thriller stories, and this one, in my opinion ranks up there with the MCF series. I thought the story was great, and even though, I don't like gimmicky bracelets or amulets, the cell phone app, was not too bad. I love puzzles, and to me, this was the best aspect of the game. Most were just challenging enough to get your brain thinking, and some were really tough, which is what I enjoy most out of playing games. I hope they keep up with this series, as I really enjoyed it.
I gave this a try and just couldn't get into more than 20 mins of the demo. After so much talking and useless achievement awards popping up on the side, it was like getting popup adds, when browsing the net. No thank-you. After the 10th cut scene, I had just about enough, and just couldn't play anymore. This is the what all the CE versions of games are like now, and why I don't buy them. Does anyone really care if they get an achievement for petting a cat, or fixing a chain saw? I have been reading a lot of the negative reviews, and am just wondering if BF is paying any attention to what gamers want. I don't think so, as there hasn't been a "Wow" game out in a really long time. This is definitely not one of them.
I was hyped about a new science fiction themed story, like Beyond game, but after the first minute, it takes you right back into the same old same old story line with dumb stuff to fix, and queens, graveyards, and centuries old scenes again. Why bother with fooling gamers, that this is a science fiction themed game, when it's anything but? It could have had such potential as it started out, with players being sucked into a bizarre virtual, futuristic reality, and it totally failed. I was so dissapointed, I couldn't even finish the demo. You might find this game ok, IF you want the same old same old, but not for me.
Same old same old. Did that, done that, the t-shirt is worn out. I like mini-games and puzzles, but again, these are way too easy. Good game for beginners. As soon as the memory gimmick thingy came into play, I knew I wasn't going to buy this game. That kind of thing just really annoys me, and is just a filler. I see other reviewers hate those gimmicky things too, but they keep putting them in, so for that reason, this won't be on my to buy list.
This wasn't as bad as some of the games that have come out lately, so I got through the demo pretty quick, and found it entertaining. EXCEPT.... one biggy that I really hate are gimmicks, so the phone app, was mostly annoying, and was just a time filler. I wish they would stop with that kind of thing. Other than that, the puzzles were pretty easy, but some of them were ok. I like challenging puzzles, so I hope they get harder as the game goes on. I'm not sure if I will buy the CE, but will wait for the SE, to see how long this game is.
I like these griddler puzzle games, and usually buy them, but I sure wish they could do a little extra instead of just adding stupid pictures to a background. Maybe offer a mini-game puzzle or something when you finish a level. That is one UGLY CAT!! :)

As most of the new games that are coming out now, are so incredibly easy, they must be geared toward young kids. As soon as the pop-up chapter book opened up, it proved my point. Why would any developer think gamers would enjoy something so cutesy as cartoon pop-up story puzzles that are so annoying, and little animal or robot helpers, unless they are targeting a very young audience. Why can't games have an option for challenging puzzles or easy, like the Nancy Drew games. For a few games awhile back some of puzzles were super puzzles that had a bunch of things to solve, and I thoroughly enjoyed these types, and now they don't have them anymore. Instead you have story lines that have been done to death, and puzzles where all you have to do is count to 4 to open a lock, and they call that a puzzle. So disappointed with all the new HO games that are out now. Still waiting for one that I can say, wow finally!! Maybe next month :)
Well this game is for kids or if you are having trouble sleeping at night and need something really boring to play. I was so frustrated with the lack of challenge in this game, I almost couldn't finish it. I kept waiting and waiting for some challenging puzzles, and thought maybe near the end they will come up with some. Well the very last 2 puzzles, I was thinking " hmmm....how does this work?" Oh I know, count to 5 and what do you know, puzzle solved! Then the very last puzzle, was WAY more challening, cuz you had to actually count to 6 to solve it. My that must have taken the developers some serious thought, or they had help from some pre-school kids. REALLY!!! I don't know why I keep purchasing the new games that are coming out now. They are just mindless clicking, with no challenge or entertainment value. Even the mahjong game you could play instead of the HOP was easy for a 3 year old. What happened to some of the new games that had those super puzzles in them. Now those I really enjoyed, and they don't have them in the recent games anymore. It seems that the developers are putting so much resources into nice cut scenes and graphics that they forget the reason people play games. The reason I play games anyway. To exercise my brain! If I want nice cut scenes, I will watch a movie. As you can tell from my review, I really hated this game, and from the other reviews I read, I am in the minority. Try it, and see if you like it, but be prepared to be bored.
Well, I was over half way done when the demo finished, so this game is only about 2 hours long. I guess you could stretch it out by listening to the nonsense and not funny at all conversations between characters, but I didn't need to torture myself with that. The puzzles were cute, but not at all challenging. So maybe this would be a good game for teens or kids. If they do make a sequel, it would have to be 4 times longer, and more challenging, for me to try it.
