This game was a little rough around the edges, but it's not bad. You play the bluecoats of the north and vie for control of the eastern and central US. Like the board game Risk, you move troops to capture states. However, you do not leave troops behind and can leave states open to easy take-over.
When you encounter an enemy, the battle play is sloppy and somewhat frustrating. I played so that my northerners were superior to the "easy" southerners. Even so, many of my troops failed to follow commands as I wished. You click on them, click on the enemy or a patch of ground and hope for the best. A more in depth tutorial on the battle play would have been greatly appreciated.
It's an okay game. I wouldn't recommend it and I wouldn't not recommend it... but I have to pick and option.

This game is pretty fun. It becomes challenging rather early on in the levels if you're trying to make gold - which I always am. The music is average, cheery background. The only thing I would like with the visual quality is that the writing would be a little larger when the man speaks, but otherwise it's good.
I like trying to anticipate what weather I will need and having to break up the combinations to create new ones. It's a good time management game that I'll probably get with my next club credit.
I recommend this game!

This game was pretty, but I couldn't play long without getting a little queasy. It's like Spyro the dragon in terms of graphics. Collecting floating objects was all I got up to before I was bored and nauseous. lol
I wish you could use the keyboard instead of the mouse to move the horse, but its not that bad. I know that if I didn't get dizzy with this game, I may have pursued it longer.

Two of my favorite things! This game was a little hard to warm up to at first and I didn't get into it until the first half hour was up and I understood the scoring and techniques better. I found the tutorial somewhat lacking. It really helps to read the dimly lit bottom banner to know the rules at first and avoid foul shots. But once you get into it, it's addictive. Like shuffleboard, Sorry sliders, battle spinners, etc only with a dark steampunk feel.

There's not much more that can be said about this game that's already mentioned above. I just wanted to add my 5 star rating to this highly enjoyable game. I'm guessing women would definitely like it more than men because of all the "hunks" pandering to your every need. The things they say just crack me up!
The game play is personalized - place things wherever you want. But the nice thing is, placement is not arbitrary. You can plan where amenities will go to help your rentals. The music was so relaxing that I want the soundtrack for background when I paint.
I was sad when the game was over. Not sure if the sequel will be filled with subservient women voice overs, which I won't like as much at all, but I'm sure it'll be a fun game.

This game is a close relative to the numerous spa games out there. It does have a whimsical flair with a finger puppet narrated storyline. It's not gory, just happily macabre.
Usher impatient zombies around to various stations where you sometimes have to play a mini game before you move them onto the next station. Upset any zombie and you have you hit them over the head before they leave the shop.
Like many spa games and the travel agency games, I found a few of the mini games more annoying than fun - like filling a test tube to a line without being under or over. The games are timed.
I could take or leave this game. I'm not buying it right now.

What I really like about this game is that there is more than just "wood", "gold", "food" to juggle. There is also a diverse terrain to explore and a town to manage in the process. I like that you can put the buildings wherever you please.

This is a great varied hidden object game. I love both shop-n-spree games with their clear graphics, multiple hidden objects that you can choose from at a time, bonus finds and puzzles. It's as easy or hard as you make it.
The only thing I wish was that they music would change from time to time.

I think a lot of negative reviews may have been left by those who hastily try the first 10 minutes and give it up. The graphics of the dog are really underdone and gave a bad impression of what was to come. It was soon proved a wrong assumption once I started playing as the mole. This is a pretty good game. You have to like dialogue. You can turn the speech off, which is a plus because I hate when voices from my games disturb others around me.
The level of challenge is great. I didn't find it that hard, but it certainly took some time to think things through. The hints are phenomenal and start vague and end up telling you what you need if the vague hint wasn't enough.
I like all the fix it up games, but this one is certainly the best. The game play is much longer than the first game (more like a full sized game now). The game is a challenge without being too difficult and it is very addictive.
