This is like the shop-n-spree games except that you control a slow (even after the bonus upgrades) character, the merchandise is all clothing from the 80s and there is competition against you as you play in the way of two computer players. As I played through the demo, I found the levels felt very repetitive very quickly as I worked toward certain fashion points.
I wouldn't personally recommend this game, but that's more because it's just not my cup of tea. I much prefer shop-n-spree's style if I want to play a game like this. This may be a game others will like.
I don't recommend this game.

The Great Chocolate Chase
Join Evangeline Baumeister and your favorite Chocolatier characters while serving treats in exotic locations from Peru to Libya.
This is not your typical Beaumeister Confections game. This is time management. I'm a huge fan of the Chocolatier series of games, so I have a little weakness for the theme. This game makes me crave chocolates! That aside, this game is deceptively easy to start but really becomes challenging almost to the point of throwing up your hands and calling it a day towards the end levels. I recommend it for it's length (lots of levels = great value for the money) and for it's challenge toward the second half of the game. A love for chocolate also helps.
I bought this during a $2.99 sale without testing it because I liked the storyline. I'm glad I only paid that much for it. I found the game your stereotypical hidden object game complete with random objects with nothing much to do with the surroundings in scenes and overplayed sound effects. The cursor is very exacting and you must click the item precisely or you won't pick it up at all.
And while the premise for the game sounds interesting, I found the way the storyline was carried out to be tedious and hard to keep my interest. It's a no for me.
This game is what I turn to again and again when I need to feel calm yet keep my mind busy. There is no timer, yet is rather challenging on some levels. The characters are drawn beautifully and making the potions is rather fun.
The music is so soothing and the repetitiveness so subtle that I've often left the game running, shut off my monitor and used it as background while I sculpt! :)
As of this review, this is my favorite game. :) What I love is that this is not just another standard hidden object game. Being a fan of "American Pickers", the tv show (which I don't believe is connected to the game), I have a soft spot for a game of this theme. However - despite the fuzzy graphics of some zoomed in areas, this game exceeds my expectations of it simply because it's open ended.
You get a theme and must go out to locations around the country and "pick" items to match that theme. There are small scenes that are traditional HOG style, but you don't have to pick them if you don't wish to. It's all up to you! What you pick, how much you pay, how much you sell it for. The auction is cute and makes others in the room laugh when I play it for the sound.
Note - if you play the demo and it ends during a puzzle, you will lose that puzzle if you don't turn on autosave in the preferences! Because chances are, you'll buy the game and want to continue! ;)
I wasn't sure I would like this when during installation a large disclaimer you must approve popped up. lol This is actually the best jigsaw puzzle game I've ever played. You can change EVERYTHING to suit you - and yet at the same time, it's not complicated to make a puzzle you're happy with or change an existing puzzle to fit your standards. Piece size, puzzle size, how many pieces, shapes of pieces with a slide bar to warp them how much you'd like, piece thickness, you name it - it's all there. And you get the satisfying click noise when you join pieces. :)
I gave it a "good" on fun factor because, let's face it, it's still a jigsaw puzzle and that doesn't really get the excitement bursting all in all.

As my title says en francais, this is a cute game. I like the cafe music and the game play is surprisingly smooth despite the somewhat chunky feel to the graphics. The game play starts out easy and understandable and slowly brings you up in difficulty at a good pace. I'd play this again.

This game is truly an exhale of calm. I love the music and the subject matter. I love cross breeding plants to try to find new breeds. I only knocked a point off fun factor because sometimes I'm impatient for the plants to grow. But like virtual villagers, it's time based. It's the sort of game you enjoy slowly and let it work for you while you're away. While you're playing you can catch butterflies, care for your plants and sell in the market.
The music really makes this game the wonderful game it is, however. :)

This is a game that seems cute at first. The first few levels seem promising for harder levels to come so I bought it during the big sale. However, I was to be disappointed as the levels never grow challenging - not even the slightest bit. Once you get all the buildings unlocked, (which is early in the game) the game doesn't change. Every level is the same with a predictable story line being the only variable. Sometimes, where you build the castle has something that needs to be cleared out, but that requires nothing more than assigning someone to do it. I've found this game has become monotonous as each level I have to build all the buildings and play all the games over and over with no change in sight. I've only 2 palaces left to build and I'm happy I got this game on sale.
This game has become a holiday tradition in my house. You play it in December and then forget it the rest of the year. That being said, it's alright - certainly easy and stress free. Rather ordinary as far as HOGs go. The music is interesting, the characters a bit comical. The story line starts out good and then turns.... bizarre. Regardless, it seems to have become part of my replay games (games I play every year) and part of the holiday season.
