This is just as whimsical as the first installment of this game. The graphics are large, clear and quite adorable. Yet again, I love watching the little shaman troll dance when he turns baddies into mushrooms. I'm not a huge fan of the over-played genre of resource management games because of the lack of originality in them (collect wood, stone and food - they're all the same). But this one is so whimsical and has such nice graphics and enjoyable music that it was an immediate buy for me.

In this game, you are presented with a clock to beat and stacks of books with pictures of barrels, gold, crowns and the like on them. Heavily pixelated customers come in the door and ask for a certain book. You find the matches in the piles and more customers come in to repeat the process. You have to serve so many customers and clear all the books by the time the clock runs out. It was okay. Just because it contains tiles/books doesn't mean it should be called mahjong though. It lacked the ability to grab me like a good mahjong game will. But it was somewhat interesting. What I really did not like about this game was the music. The title music was lovely and fantasy-esque to match the story. The level music however, is more like music I would expect in a fitness themed time management game. The graphics were very dated and I felt I was back in the 90s. Okay play and bad artistry mean it's a no-go for me.
I don't recommend this game.

I was hoping for a new gardening/farming time management game to add to my faves, but this one does not make the cut. I played the demo and wondered why I stuck with it after the first half hour. There is no challenge, no aspect to keep interest. You plant seeds, you harvest plants, repeat. Not even the addition of the salad machine or feeding the neighbors offers any variable to "plant seeds, harvest plants, repeat." The nice thing is that you can queue actions well ahead, the downside to that is there were times when, in waiting for the main character to complete all the actions, I found myself sitting there bored.
It's an average game. Probably a great game for those who haven't played many or any of the other amazing gardening and farming TM games BFG has to offer.

I wanted to love this game, but just couldn't get that far into a relationship. The premise is promising in that you move your men around to meet the enemy. You have a town on one side of the wall in which you send workers to collect gold and mills makes you food while you busy yourself collecting their goods and setting up defense men in front and on top of your city's wall. The annoying part is remembering to go back into the town often to collect the income so your workers will keep working. There's really no gripping story line - I forget even now why so many baddies are throwing themselves at my walls. The game play itself is a little clunky. They obviously wanted to get a lot into the game, but there remains aspects of game play unanswered in the tutorials.
It was an okay game - I didn't enjoy it as much as I adore other tower defense games.

This is a relaxing hidden object quest game with mini-games that are relatively easy so they are not headache-inducing. I like adventure games that don't have random hidden object scenes necessary to gain a needed quest item - This is one of those rare HOG games that doesn't rely on you needing to pick out a useful object after finding 20 useless ones in a scene, yet there are still lots of hidden objects to find. I like that there are 3 difficulty levels, so you can potentially play this 3 times over. This game is a touch unpolished graphics wise, although the artwork is still lovely. I found the voice overs very annoying and was thrilled that I could turn them off without needing to ditch the rest of the sound.

This game is another "collect wood, collect stone, etc" sort of game, but as far as those games go, this is a good one. The timer isn't ridiculously short but there is a good level of challenge, and there's variation in creating potions and casting spells to make your job easier. It also has the unique aspect of letting you change your main character into another creature to do certain tasks, like breaking down heavy stones or moving trolls. The storyline is good and makes you want to continue on to meet the new characters. Although I'm tired of these wood and stone collecting time management games, I liked this one enough to maybe use a credit on it.

A biker gang comes to your idealistic diner town and runs everyone nearly out of business. You have to save the diners. Seat good customers and "gangsters", have your chef prepare them dishes, garnish the dishes and serve. Serve the gangsters pepper garnish to get rid of them. Create special dishes with a match 3 puzzle. It's basic, a bit slow and not too imaginative. The tutorial was a series of thought bubbles and not that detailed. The largest disappointment was the size of everything - it's very small. I found myself getting a bit of a headache so I stopped playing. To me, this would be a game that could use a make-over to be a good game. There was potential, but it fell flat like its tiny pizzas.

This has the potential to be a fun adaptation of the original cooking academy game. You basically cook, set up a buffet and let customers serve and seat themselves. Dishes take real time to complete, there is no penalty for losing customers (and you will lose a lot because you won't have adequate seating). The problem is, like most "free" games, this one's fun factor is dependent on real money. I like games like FarmUp where you can do anything if you have the patience. This is not one of those games in some aspects. Within the first hour of playing, I already have a quest that requires me to spend real money if I wish to complete it because I do not have enough of the scarce in-game dollars they start you off to tease you with. (The quest is buying a very expensive jade dragon for the restaurant). So I'll play it until I'm tapped out of dollars and then I'll give it up.

This is a typical salon time management game - usher clientele around different stations and upgrade the shop. The plus side to this game is that there isn't a mini game for every single station, which can be very tedious in other salon games. The downside is that the main character is, in my opinion, very slow and you don't have an upgrade to make her faster. Also a little bothersome was a confusing instruction in the tutorial that you need 3 stars to complete a level. This is not true. It's also obscure on how you get those stars - you only earn them once you have reached silver or above on the timer and you also cash out a customer with 3 or more stars in her bar. It was an okay game. Not the best salon game, but not the worst either. I could take it or leave it.

This is a click-happy, memory-on-the-fly sort of game. Oodles of injured and sick people come into your hospital each day - much more than you can treat or send away - and you have a multiple choice on how to diagnose and treat each one. Luckily, you can't lose by not treating them all. But then, that takes away all the challenge as you go at your own pace. You have to remember things like NSAIDS treat strep throat and heat packs for styes. I stopped playing when it got to stomach flu patients with little vomiting icons and diagnosing diseases with symptoms like pus in urine and things I really didn't need to read while playing this game early in the morning. They could have kept the ailments cute to match the graphics. You build unique rooms, but patients roam the entire hospital looking for treatment regardless of what the room is denoted for. It just wasn't as fun as it could have been!
