This is a standard HOG with semi-poor graphics and annoying music in puzzle and HOG scenes that resembled "Alice's Teacup Madness" on a cut loop. Many of the hidden objects were tiny or faded and when you had to collect multiple items like mirror shards or tiles, you never know when you have enough. But what I liked was, if you have a scroll wheel on your mouse, you can zoom into any area you want in a HOG scene. And, being a fan of the original Lewis Carroll books, I really liked all the trivia pop ups on each screen by the Cheshire cat. All in all, this is a no buy for me, but it's not a bad game. I can't recommend it but can't not recommend it either. Play the demo and see what you think.

I love the first Weather Lord - in fact, I revived it on my pc and played it last week again for probably the 5th time. I was so excited to see this one come out yesterday but played the demo first, learning never to assume a game is as good as you want it to be and buy it blindly. And I was right to do so. This one just didn't capture me like the first has done many times over. Game play and concepts are exactly the same as the first with only trivial minor changes. The new characters are distracting in this one and the game play seems to be slower. The story line wasn't as interesting either. Overall, it's an okay game, but if you've played and loved the first, I can't imagine how you could find this one as good. I'm not buying it since it didn't hook me in the demo, but it's a good enough game that someone else might like it to buy it.
I recommend this game!

This game is pretty fun and rather challenging - the individual poker tournaments can last quite a long time. You're playing poker to raise money to buy up and revitalize your hometown. Kind of a sketchy gangster premise, but the game play is good over a basic card game. I like that as you defeat characters, you unlock knowledge of what body cues they use if they have good cards or bad cards. The characters resemble the people in the Delicious Emily series and have about as much personality. I'm not a huge video card player, but I'll buy this one.
I recommend this game!

I played the 1 hour demo and decided it wasn't worth buying for me, but was okay for your typical mysterious and moody HOG (at least this one isn't that dark as most seem to be on BFG). The artwork in this hidden object game is beautiful and probably it's best feature. The "music" is rather annoying and not so much music as a single played note in trying to be "moody" it just reverberates my speakers and I was forced to turn it off. The turn off for me was the gameplay itself. I kept forgetting to look for gold pearls, which represent everything from dragon horns and mirror pieces to chemistry sets - very odd. I found I had to click the mouse very precisely to pick up small objects. The graphics of moving objects was drawn out - when mixing a recipe up, it takes forever to sit through the individual graphics of each item next to the tool that breaks it down for the recipe. And lastly, it's hard to know where to click next. A good example is when you know you must click on a cauldron. But the cauldron doesn't click unless you have your cursor just over the one spot that makes your cursor show an eye. It's rather annoying. The game is playable and I'm sure if I stuck with it, I'd get used to the foibles, but it's not worth the money to me. I can neither recommend for or against this game.

This is probably a great game for a child learning to play match-3 style games as it plays like little simple mini games (and without a timer to start) and has large, colorful buttons that would be good for kids getting used to a mouse or using a touch pad. It's incredibly boring for me and probably anyone who is used to the more sophisticated match-3 games. The graphics are very poofy and bright, the characters have big heads - all the artwork reminds me of the equally painfully easy time management game "Floating Kingdoms", so I'm guessing they're the same creator. I didn't notice a story line, but when you complete a match 3 level, the town improves appearance. This is a no for me, but if you have children, let them give it a go.
I don't recommend this game.

Based on the demo, I found this game very awkward and cumbersome to play. Buy, raise and sell produce from exotic animals. The good: there are a lot of details thrown into this game making it interesting. I love changing the color and sizes of my animals and the promise of upgrading the landscape (I, however, did not get far enough to do so). The bad: It's done in clunky, rough 3-D graphics and moving around the screen was not fun. Using the mouse scroll wheel to pan out was a good feature, but being that far out made some of the animals (the parrot especially) hard to see. There are no alerts to tell you when you have a hungry animal or a dirty one.
This is a no for me.

With cute graphics that are a lot like the Munchkins card adventure game, this game is more whimsical than the muscular "epic" the title image of a burly warrior would imply. Calling this an adventure game, however, is a bit of a misnomer. It's not like you get to really decide how the game progresses. You don't actually choose any direction in the adventure. You basically move along a game board and you play by stocking up troops and battling baddies. The battles are fun and remind me of the old sega turn-based battle games which I enjoyed a great deal. The fun is in trying to outmaneuver the enemy. This is a buy for me.
I recommend this game!

Mostly HOG on a ridiculously fast gold star timer with some mini games thrown in (which I guess makes them think it's time management because there's a timer?), this game is nothing like the other awesome cooking games out there (Go Go Gourmet, Tasty Too, Gourmania, etc). You don't really cook recipes or prep food in general. You complete a hidden object scene to gather items for a recipe then play a mini game to complete the dish. You are rated by how fast you complete the tasks - and that timer goes very fast! This was an ok game, but a no-go for me as I've been spoiled by better games.
I don't recommend this game.

Maybe a great game for a child? There was absolutely no challenge in the 40 minutes or so I played before I gave up out of sincere boredom. The game play is slow in that she just doesn't walk fast at all. But that's not a problem to reach the goals of the game - I had no problems getting the super score each level despite feeling like I might doze off while I did it. You have to deliver one cake at a time so you don't accidentally stack them. The graphics are chintzy and the music was so annoying I was glad I could turn it off without turning off the other sounds.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is like those songs on the radio that you'll listen to if nothing else better is playing. I would play this game if it were free - and there was nothing else on to play. At first I thought I'd hate this game because the graphics are seriously unpolished, the music is cheap and repetitive and the tutorial is practically non-existent. But once I got used to the game play, I found myself somewhat hooked until my hour had gone by. Mind you, I didn't find myself hooked enough to buy it. You grow plants and harvest the seeds for money. You then use that money to place vegetables on the playing field to block the ... medieval piggies? There's where the story line loses me. The only "game guide" within the game is more a cheat for each level, showing you a graph on where to place plants to beat the baddies so I didn't want to use it.
