This series perhaps has seen its heyday. This and the past couple of offerings in Hercules are tedious exercises in running back & forth, back & forth, back & forth countless times just to repeat with some more running back & forth. I can not recommend this game at all.
I felt like the game was just running back & forth to fetch items. It all seemed very tedious to me, with the occasional break for dialogue. I play all of the similar games, am not sure what it was about this one that I could not get into but it just never stopped feeling boring & tedious.
I am so glad that there's a lot to do in this simple, yet challenging game. You can squeeze many hours of gameplay out of this, and the challenges are quite satisfying. I hope they continue making these Rescue Team games.
I'm so disappointed that this game was not more enjoyable. The difficulty was aggravating - on levels where they'd give say, 5 minutes to complete them, I'd always need more like 7 to 8. But that's not the only reason to dislike - the resources do not collect themselves. You have to constantly manually collect them over & over every few seconds. This just overall was aggravating to play.
I’m shocked - I love TM games in general, and others by these developers. But nearly everything about Archimedes was annoying, boring & painstaking! For example, you have to CONSTANTLY click on the generated income from buildings or it disappears. I mean, constantly every few seconds.
Even following the in-game guide I found myself just barely squeezing in 1 star in most levels, and that was partly just because it is all an unrealistic jumble of tedium. I’ve played about every other game in this genre, so am no novice.
Did this really just happen? I just played 52 minutes of the free hour trial & that was all I could bear. Tale of the Lost Queen played like the beta to a game released more than 25 years ago. From graphics to basic mechanics, everything was so painfully ....not up to par. I'm sorry if that hurts anyone's feelings but this should be offered as freeware someplace & not sold on this site.
There's nothing to say about this game. You basically just click, then click some more & after awhile click 300 more times. I'm a fanatic for the characters included in this & yet I still don't enjoy the game. When this was released last year, I tried about 50% of the levels then uninstalled. Tried it again this week & did not make it that far. Like the scarecrow, its quite brainless.
I really enjoyed this game, especially after having played a recent TM dud with a 4 letter name, but I don't see any reason to pay extra just for wallpapers, etc. that I'll never use. And I definitely could not care an itty bitty bit less about the other extras that usually come with the higher price.
Its too bad developers haven't caught onto this by now. Give me some incentive to & I'll gladly buy the more expensive versions.
But anyway, this was good. Definitely recommend getting the standard version.
I've been playing this game for several weeks now - thats something virtually unheard of round these parts. And not only that, but as a non-HOG player I have been pleasantly surprised by everything in this. Sure, I try this genre now & then but generally greatly dislike it. This Elizabeth Bathory game has the best puzzles. Great collectibles and side quests and all the rest. I don't recall the game telling us there were tarot cards to collect & so haven't found but a few but I may just go right back & replay after I finish.
Saw a review that said she finished in an afternoon. I've been at this for probably 7 hours altogether so if short games aren't your thing, fret not.
I am very unexpectedly enamored with this game. I bought it a few weeks ago for something like $2 and I had low to no expectations, thinking it'd be nothing but looking for hidden items. Boy have I been pleasantly surprised! Great puzzles, the herbarium, some shockingly macabre scenes, a really nice length, and just an all around really enjoyable game. Two thumbs up!
