Just Mahjong. No thrills, bells, whistles, flashing lights, bonuses, not even a storyline. Even the game options are hidden, accessed via the little wheel at the top of the screen. I love it's simplicity.
Tiles are large and clear. There is a choice of gorgeous backgrounds and different tile sets. The music is very soothing.
There is challenge, in that there are goals to achieve and three stars to play for. There is a choice at the end of each board to restart or move on, but you can also select any board to play/replay via the game options.
With 360 levels, this game is a steal.
I recommend this game!

This is a lovely M3/building game. The graphics are vibrant and the boards have good sized tiles, very suitable for "old" eyes!
There are three modes, normal, hard and relaxed. I played in normal mode and found some boards tricky enough at an early stage that I restarted to achieve the perfect gold star. I liked the fact that there was sufficient challenge early in the game. One benefit of achieving a perfect is that you receive additional resources, another is to fulfil the "perfect" criteria as detailed in the milestone awards.
As you gather resources, you build up a village. Cute characters walk around. You can click on them and they will wave, or blow hearts, or throw money. Each building gives resources/bonuses and can be upgraded three times. Certain criteria needs to be met before upgrading; for example, you might need to have reached level 2 of a bonus or gathered a certain amount of a resource before upgrading.
There are a few hidden object scenes which are also sufficiently challenging.
All in all, a worthy addition to my M3 collection!
I recommend this game!

I must admit, I became addicted to this game rather quickly. It reminded me in a way of the Tradewinds series, even commercial games like Port Royale, albeit much more simplified.
The premise is the same, explore, buy and sell goods, fulfil quests and challenges, battle pirates and ships from other countries. Where fighting can be quite complex in other similar games, here it is all done via a battle M3 and I love battle M3s! Very easy to learn the strategy, as you get a description of the various icons when hovering the mouse over them.
The map looks quite large - you need to hold the mouse button down and drag to expand it. The ship icon at the bottom of the screen shows your cargo, list of quests, challenges, and your level. At the end of the demo, I was still a beggar on level 1, with quite a funny description. I therefore envisage many hours of play to climb that ladder.
I recommend this game!

This is a highly enjoyable game with smooth movement and attractive building graphics.
The levels have goals to achieve and numerous obstacles to overcome. There are four special bonuses to charge, an on-board bonus and a shuffle. The board can be rotated, which helps to fill blank areas.
The game can be played in relaxed or challenge mode, and you can choose from swap, group and chain modes at the beginning of each level.
I am playing in challenge mode. It is untimed, but you need to finish the level within a certain amount of moves. Being untimed, you can sit back and study the board for strategic moves. As you build up the village, each building gives you extra moves. If you fail to finish the level, you can choose to use five more moves or replay. I particularly enjoyed replaying!! The challenge mode is highly satisfying.
Overall, this is a very sophisticated game.
I recommend this game!

For some reason, I overlooked the first two Clutter games, but I was hooked on this one before the demo finished and purchased immediately.
There is so much to do in this game, with a lot of variety in the main Void quest, fun replayable mini-games and additional quests.
I am now a Clutter fan and will be having a look at the earlier games.
I recommend this game!

I do enjoy the one up, one down type of solitaire. Nothing new with the card play, at least during the demo. There are cards that need to be unblocked, you get bonus cards in the deck, can buy other bonuses in a shop, etc, but there was enough quirkiness to the game that kept me highly entertained. Something a bit different to other card games are the fun mini-games that start each new area.
I liked the cartoony look, the zombie sound effects and creepy music. Cards are clear to see and a good size.
A definite purchase for me.
I recommend this game!

This is quite a unique game and it really is nice to see something different.
It's a turn-based strategy game, played entirely on a board. The objective is to create a family history that continues through the ages, building knowledge, making life choices. Your main characters, ( husband and wife) move around the board and the static children are educated based on the tokens you give them. Most moves are forward, but there is a backward move that is sometimes necessary to make, e.g. to get more tokens. This can potentially be dangerous because, with each turn, the board rotates backwards towards a danger zone. There is only one action per character in each turn and sometimes limited tokens. Also, other people appear on the board. You have no control over them and they can help or hinder the progress of your characters. Therefore, the choices you make need to be thought out.
Your characters will age and one of the children will need to be selected to continue the family. He/she undergoes a rite of passage, the outcome of which is based on the education received. There is no winning or losing, just choices to make that define his/her personality. He/she then becomes your new main character and prospective husbands/wives are placed on the board. The most suitable partners have a heart icon, but can you reach them or will you need to settle for second best? Will a marriage without love bear children, I wonder?
Other excellent reviews have explained things a lot better than I can and I have learnt a thing or two more from them!
This game is intriguing, with more depth to it than I initially realised. A definite purchase.
I recommend this game!

I had the pleasure of beta-testing this game and have been waiting somewhat impatiently for it to arrive here.
Finders reminds me of games like Island Castaway and The Promised Land in that it is quest driven. There are elements to it that are also familiar in TM games, e.g. icons that appear above resources. This is not a TM. It is untimed and reasonably non-linear; you can take your time, go about gathering resources and get on with the quests when you like. A shop allows you to buy various items and you can also trade. There are fun mini-games to add variety.
Instructions are minimal but it is not too difficult to find your way around.
A definite purchase for me.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game right from the opening screen. The ghosts are cute and there is a cheerful, colourful, cartoony feel about it.
There's plenty of variety in the M3s and fun mini-games. There's a large range of buildings, which gives the feel of a long game.
All in all, this is a nice one for any age and will definitely be a purchase for me.

This game had everything I could possibly want from a HOPA.
The graphics were beautiful, hidden object scenes were interactive, and the puzzles were very good. There were achievements and 3 different types of collectibles to find.
The length of the game was excellent. It took me 8 hours to finish the main game (without skipping puzzles) and another 2 hours for the bonus chapter.
Absolutely superb.
I recommend this game!
