Can I make a 5 Star Resort? I don't know, yet, but I can certainly give 5 stars!
This game is bright, colourful, a Match 3 builder with mini games and variety. There's lots to do.
Play in limited moves mode or casual, or switch back and forth. I always enjoy limited moves mode as it adds a strategic challenge to the game. This is certainly so in Rio, where you are meeting the needs of the hotel guests as well as the other goals of the level.
This is sure to be an entertaining and challenging game.
Gorgeous stained glass images unfold in this untimed puzzle game.
The image is created on the face of a time piece, with the puzzle pieces evenly spread out around the outer wheels. The puzzle pieces are in silhouette and rotated, but for your convenience, as you pick up a piece, it automatically rotates to the correct shape. Some starter pieces are shown in red, although this feature can be turned off in the settings. You can also move the wheels, although they move automatically as you place pieces.
There's only one difficulty level, set at a half-way mark, but you can increase the difficulty by turning off the starter pieces. I found the level set just right for me; the pieces were in silhouette, rotated and shaped - couldn't ask for more!
All in all, a well thought-out and designed game with stunning puzzle images.
This reminds me a bit of the old logic puzzle Sokoban type games where you moved objects around a maze to a specified location, usually to fill holes or cover lights.
Here, you are strategically lining up same coloured tiles to cover stars. Tiles will slide until meeting a wall or another tile. When there is more than one colour, and a match is made, the tiles don't disappear as in a M3, but become covered, immovable objects and may block your path to the stars (heh).
The music is lovely, and the main room is interactive. There was a strange light in the distance where I found an object that I don't know what to do with yet. I do like games with mystery and discovery!
There's no timer, so relax, put your thinking caps on and enjoy.
This is a nice, relaxing, Mahjong game with good layouts and clear tiles. The objective is to match the special tiles which will finish the level, but if you want to play for three stars you'll need to clear the board entirely.
During the demo, some obstacles were introduced, sand and covered tiles. Sand forms a barrier and can block tiles, but will dissipate when matches are made on one or both sides. You can open a covered tile to see the image, but then it closes again - a nice exercise for memory!
I've purchased Fishjong, as it fits nicely into my Mahjong addictiveness. I'm hoping there'll be another surprise or two as the levels progress, but if not it will still be enjoyable!
This is a lot of fun, with a variety of different M3 games.
Earn money to buy maps, unlocking locations that lead to treasure and restoration. Within each location, you play different types of M3 to find an artefact. You can play in relaxed or timed mode and can switch from one to the other easily. I found the level of challenge in timed mode to be very good.
All in all, this game has nice graphics, is enjoyable and addictive.
Please note that this game is the same as Lost Island: Eternal Storm, but with Mahjong instead of Hidden Objects. Personally, I love Mahjong so I've got both versions of the game, lol!
This is a long game with lovely graphics. You'll meet a variety of characters and fulfil quests for them. You'll explore different level-up locations as they unlock, playing Mahjong to collect items, materials and gems. Some items (chests) open up enjoyable mini-games.
As your materials and items build up, you'll be able to restore damaged bridges to new locations, restore dilapidated buildings which will generate items for you to collect, complete special sets and fend off the creatures roaming around. With enough gems you can buy items and materials that you need.
This is an involved and engaging game, user friendly, easy to learn how to play. Give it a go if you are a Mahjong fan, or head over to Lost Island: Eternal Storm if you prefer Hidden Objects!
Sometimes it's nice to have a break from HOPAs and go back to the more classic types that are just level after level of hidden objects. This is that type of game.
Objects are a mix of easy to find and well hidden, with a special object that needs interaction. There are bonuses to help you and 3 stars to play for. The stars were useful early on, as after a few levels you needed a certain amount of stars to proceed. There is a timer, but you can carry on playing if timed out and move on or replay if you want to.
The storyline so far is a bit "meh". Text only, and quite fast, so speed read, if you can!
I didn't come across any bonus levels or mini-puzzles during the demo but I did enjoy the game enough to purchase.
Slide was my favourite variant in the Legendary Mahjong game and I'm very happy to see a game devoted to this variant.
Slide is fresh and different. While it has Mahjong matching elements, it is largely a logic puzzle and gives the brain a good work-out!
If you have patience, enjoy thinking "outside the box" and love the satisfaction of solving a devious puzzle, then this game is for you.
Vast instructions are not really necessary. Slide is a tile matching game with a logic puzzle twist. Interesting new features are gradually introduced for which clues are given and in the traditional logic puzzle way, you figure things out!
Don't be fooled by the cutesy, kiddie, cartoony opening. This will not be an easy game, particularly if you want 3 stars. However, it is very entertaining and may require some strategic planning and rethinking.
This is a swap M3, with a unique feature: the tiles (referred to as buttons) are double-sided and can be flipped to reveal a different image. The levels are untimed, but there are limited moves, goals to complete and 3 stars to achieve. To get 3 stars, complete the level in as few moves as possible. A great feature here is that you do not lose a move if flipping tiles.
During the demo there were coloured tiles that needed to be cleared, sometimes twice, on-board bomb bonuses, a special hammer bonus that needed to be activated and a pin obstacle. A pinned tile cannot be flipped. Later, the pins will also jump around. That was fun - I found it easy to lose track of other goals while chasing pins, lol!
You'll earn money to repair damaged buildings and there are additional achievements to meet.
Overall, lots to do and more to come. I'm looking forward to discovering what else the game has!
I am a big Mahjong fan, but I was scratching my head a bit over this. The graphics and storyline looks like the game is geared towards youngsters, but the gameplay morphs into manic speed (if you want all 3 stars), with timings that this seasoned player can't match. Maybe a youngster can!
Thankfully, you do not need to meet all goal requirements to continue, so you can play in a more relaxed way. You have clear, good sized tiles with a choice of tile sets, including fantasy and traditional. There are mini-games and extra gameplay.
It's not a brilliant game, it's not a bad game - It just didn't gel with me personally, Give it a try and see what you think.
