I thoroughly enjoyed the first game and am equally, if not more addicted to TM 2. There is a deeper level of strategy with the enhancements in TM2 - a choice of building hotels, supermarkets or factories, with different returns. You can buy and sell shares in increments of 25% in other companies and eventually buy out another company. There is also a casino if you fancy a flutter. As with the first game, you can trade with goods and there are cards to help.

It's not often I chuckle my way through a demo, but I found this game to be quite amusing.
The objective is simple: create a path for your zombie to follow so that he can eat brains and turn the humans into zombies. Some humans are cowardly but others will fight back, so strategy will be needed to avoid a shamble of the level. A shop allows you to accessorise your zombie.
A definite purchase for me.
I recommend this game!

I purchased this game elsewhere months ago and am still enjoying it.
If you are unfamiliar with turn-based strategy, you can spend most of the demo familiarising yourself with the game through the tutorial. There is a lot to do and really a 1 hour demo for this type of game is not long enough and could put people off. However, think Civilization/Risk meets Puzzle Quest, then add cartoon characters and a dash of humour and you have a unique, amusing, involved and long game.
In a nutshell, you build up cities and armies, move around the map to conquer territories, battle creatures and other armies and search for artifacts that help you in battle. It is complex. Villages have to be upgraded to acquire buildings for different army units. Units can be merged together to form large armies or split to move independently and boarded onto ships for sea travel. Ships can fight other ships. You can buy and sell items and even buy Generals who have their own unique abilities. There are 20 missions across 5 campaigns. Each mission has a primary goal and secondary goals to achieve. The first 3 missions of the Rome campaign is the tutorial and will probably take up most of the demo. As well as the tutorial, there is a more in-depth help in the Options menu.
The Match 3 element is brilliant in this type of game because it removes the complexity of battle tactics usually required in RPG/strategy games. There is an untimed battle mode where you fight barbarians, creatures, armies and ship vs ship. The opposing sides take turns matching tiles to fill up the attack bar. Different units in the army require different tiles. When the attack bar is full the unit is ready to attack. This mode can take a long time as it finishes when all enemies are eliminated. There are options for surrender and automatic resolution. Another M3 mode is for looting areas and random events that occur. This is a timed mode to meet certain requirements.
As well as the main campaign, there are additional game modes to increase gameplay. All in all, this game is great value for money.

This game reminded me of the old Sokoban type puzzle games from way back. It is a pleasure to see that style of puzzle again.
You guide a cute pig as he moves crates to rescue his friends and get to the exit.
The first few levels are deceptively easy, but don't let that put you off. This is the type of game where forward thinking will be necessary, otherwise you can soon become trapped and have to restart the level.
From previous experience with this type of game, I know my brain will get a good workout in later levels! It's an instant purchase for me.

This game mixes Mahjong layouts with the 1 up 1 down style of solitaire.
There are two modes, Quest and Survival. In Quest mode, there are 150 levels split into 15 sections. Each section has 10 levels, containing a mix of easy, medium and hard layouts. Some layouts are challenging, requiring a few revisits to beat, but you don't need to win every level to progress.
Graphics are ok, simple, no frills. Tiles are good size.
I haven't sampled Survival mode - too busy in Quest Mode!
Definitely a game that will keep you entertained for a long time!

With World Contest, a unique type of Mahjong game came along, continued in Spooky Mahjong, Christmas Mahjong and now Mahjong Royal Towers.
I will never tire of this type of game where goals need to be achieved. There are 3 goals in each level and these vary. You do not need to achieve all 3 goals to progress, just 1. You can return to a previous level to improve your score, should you need extra stars/points to move on to the next group of levels.
Some reviewers have mentioned that this game is timed. You will, sometimes, have a goal that is timed, but this is not true for all levels.
This game can be easy to play, or you can challenge yourself to achieve all 3 goals. With so many levels, it will keep you occupied for a long time.

This game held my attention throughout the demo. Initially there is some hand holding as you familiarise yourself with actions, but it is quite easy to figure things out.
New locations open up gradually as you progress. Navigation and interaction is very nice. There are directional arrows and a map becomes available, allowing you to transport to any previous location. Interaction is highlighted, e.g. exclamation marks for talking/undertaking tasks, a moneybag shows merchants and farmers where you can buy and sell and so forth. A green tick confirms interaction, while a red cross tells you that you are missing inventory items. Clicking on the cross opens a box that shows what is missing for that particular interaction.
As you journey and fulfil tasks, you gain fame and rewards. You also need energy which is replenished at camp sites. Some tasks will require a certain amount of fame and energy to fulfil. Some actions create change elsewhere, so it is worth revisiting previous locations.
Treasure and artifacts can be found, but you need to be eagle eyed. While the graphics are crisp, some things are very small and can be hard to spot.
All in all, I am interested enough in this game to spend a coupon on it.

I rather enjoyed the demo of Dragon Crossroads. While it may not stand out from the crowd of similar games, e.g. Roads of Rome, Legend of Atlantis, etc, there was a fun factor to it, that I purchased the game after just a few levels.
I thought the graphics were finek and the music rather jaunty. The workers were fast and tasks could be queued. Time can be extended by finding and clicking on goblins and freeing chests.
There was plently going on in the few levels I played. I could not achieve gold on most of those levels, so was pleased that the game was not so easy (for me) as other reviewers found it.

This is an addictive game, with pretty graphics.
In fact, you can think of it as three M3 games in one, because each mode has its own set of levels and interesting layouts. The modes are swap, group and chain and you can change modes whenever you feel like it. Each new mode you enter will take you back to level 1 and new layouts, although the building element stays the same, e.g. if you have already built a few buildings in one mode you still attain the same building level.
The buildings are pretty and fairy-like, and can be upgraded. Once fully upgraded, a new building becomes available.

I nearly overlooked this one, thinking it was a "farm frenzy" type game. I'm very glad I decided to try the demo.
Graphics are excellent, the characters are delightful and the dialogue amusing. Very smooth control.
The game reminds me a bit of Gardenscapes. Here, you build up a farm to win a competion, but it's more than just making a farm look pretty. There are crops to grow and harvest, animals to care for, etc. Earn money by selling items found in hidden object scenes, undertaking quests, and selling the harvest. Spend the money on sprucing up the farm, buying animals, and upgrading.
There's no clickfest here at all. It's a very enjoyable game that you can play at your own pace.
