This is one of those games you hope they aren't planning a sequel for because there is nothing redeemable in this game to call for one.
Story line is lame at best and has been played out in so many other games that you lose count. Girl gets kidnapped by baddy and you, and only you, can save her. Not the police, or the FBI, or any detectives, only you.
HOs are some of the worst I've played in a long time. What you are looking for is not evident and you usually have to do something else to find what you're looking for. And the mini games aren't any better. Came across a few with no instructions at all and just had to guess until something happened. Also there were a few I had to skip completely because no matter what correct move I made I came no closer to solving the game.
Graphics are not up to snuff for this developer. I have seen better from them. Matter of fact, I've seen better games by them.
I suggest you read all the reviews and then disregard anything over 2 stars.
I don't recommend this game ar all. save your money for a good game.

This is one of the worst games I have played in a while. What I took away from the demo is they tried to take a kids game and make it into an adult game by adding supposedly scary villains and gruff voices. Didn't work. Still has that childlike feel about it and the game play is typical of what is being put out these days. Why are Americans in a British library anyway? We have excellent libraries here. Graphics are not that great and the mini games are not to my liking either.
This is just a no buy for me. Don't rely on the 3,4,or 5 star reviews because this game is no where near that.
I don't recommend this at all. Save your money and credits for something worthy and Big Fish has plenty of those.

I've played most of this series and, to me, they have all been buys, however, this may be the first non buy in the series. Although the graphics and colors are great the story and getting through it are not. Seems to take forever to get past an area and then you have to come back to that same area later. Very frustrating to say the least. HOs and mini games are ok although not great and I enjoyed playing them.
I like my HO games to move along and not falter or stay too long in one place but, because this one does that it only gets 3 stars.
Still, I enjoyed the demo and recommend the game. I may buy it just to have all of the series.

This is a typical childs match 3 game. Colorful to keep their attention but no challenge to develop their minds. Would be good for toddlers to develop the motor skills and recognition but for the older players it puts you to sleep.
I can't understand 4 and 5 star ratings on games like this. It just isn't there.
If you like easy games to pass the time then this is for you, otherwise I don't recommend this one and urge you to find something for more experienced players.

I played the demo for a total of 12 minutes before I became so tired of bouncing all over the place just collecting things to collect other things. Only redeeming factor were the graphics which weren't too bad. However the characters need a little more development, they are just short of comical.
HO and mini games are just average and nothing to write home about.
Sorry, but I can't recommend this one but at least play the demo before you buy. You might like it.

I debated if I should give this 4 stars or 3. I went with three mainly because there is a little to much of the now common back and forth scenario of which I am not a fan. With that said, I will go into why I like it. The graphics are great and colorful and the characters are believable as humans and not clowns.
The HOs and mini games are on the challenging side somewhat and were actually fun for me. The hint, yes, I do use the hint in the demo to save the limited time but only when I'm really stuck, recharges quickly and is a time saver.
Can't comment on the music because it either wasn't on or I tuned it out which is probably what happened.
I had a good time playing this one and I may buy the full version. I'm going to see if there is an SE version first because I don't like paying CE prices. Not worth it.
I do recommend this one and I think a good time will be had by all.

I'll say it again, I am not a match 3 fan and this one confirms why. Yes, I do keep trying them because, eventually, a good one comes along that I enjoy.
Eleven Islands is not one I would keep unless I had a small child just learning computers. That's how easy and boring it is. Every level is the same, match 3 or more and get a certain number of the fruit or shells or totems or whatever. 3 modes of play so you can play in "boring but I'll never win", "boring but I might win", or just plain "boring and I'll win all the time".
There are people out there who love these games and I wish them well but I want adventure and excitement in my games.

Big Fish must be listening because they are finally bringing out games worth playing. This one has just the right amount of interesting play along with a pretty good story and believable characters. Graphics are nice and colorful with a little darkness to make it interesting. HOs and mini games are on the easy side but not ridiculously so.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one and it will be added to my collection.

This is one of those games that you look at and think "What the heck, I'll try it" but as soon as you do you regret wasting your time. Very lame in every sense of the word. Easy play, boring story line, graphics and characters not great and boring mini games. Played 13 minutes before giving up.

This is one of those games that started slow for me and I thought "Darn, another one of those back and forth, get nowhere games" but I was surprised. Yes, it did start a little slow but then everything fell into place and the story line emerged and I started to really get into it. The graphics are well detailed but tend toward the washed out side but well drawn. The characters were obviously thought out as to the role they play, how they should look in that role and how they should talk.
The mini games are fun and, due to time constraints, only had to skip one. The only part I didn't like were the hidden object where you have to find the highlighted word in the story the character is telling. I dislike those with a passion. Other than that this is a fun game and it will be added to my collection.
I wanted to give this 4 stars but I think the hidden object games mentioned earlier kept it to 3. If BFG had half stars then this would be a 3 1/2 star game.
I highly recommend this one although I think the 5 star ratings are a little too high. Either way, play the demo. I think you'll like this one.
