This is another one of those games where I wish 1/2 stars were possible because this one is better than 3 but not quite 4 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed the play even though there is a lot of the typical back and forth as is common in today's HO games. But it's not that you find things just for the sake of finding something, everything is eventually used and you'll realize why you had to find nail polish early. HOs are just enough of a challenge to keep you interested and the mini games are innovative and, for once, fun. Those I really enjoyed although some were a little on the simple side. Graphics are about average, not overpowering yet not drab and the colors are the way I like them, bright when needed and dark when needed. Another big plus, at least for me, I got to play as a man which is a welcome change. The other characters are well drawn and believable as real people. I could go on and on about this one but others already have and are better at that than I am. All I can add is I recommend this one but play the demo first to make sure it is your cup of tea. Have fun!!
Despite the negative reviews, this look interesting so I thought I'd give it a shot. Big mistake. Or maybe I just don't get it. Newlywed couple in their first house and it seems all the wife can do is make negative remarks even though she is trying to fix up the house. Complaining about not having any money yet she is obviously spending plenty improving the house. Seems the husband doesn't offer much help but he is working most of the time. I will say, the graphics are nice and well drawn but the constant dialog is kind of a bummer. I played about 30 minutes of the demo and I may go back to at least finish that but, for now, I'm done. I don't really recommend this, at least not for me, but others might find it challenging. Either way, have fun.
This is a game where I wish Big Fish had less than 1 star ratings. I just don't get this game at all. The instructions are non existent other than collect leaves. There are all kinds of scenes and you can click on buttons and things pop up but to what end? I even checked You Tube as someone suggested and got nowhere fast. Graphics are pretty nice, I will give it that, but that 's where the niceness ends. The 4 and 5 star ratings found something I couldn't find, and that's great, but my rating stands. Sorry, can't recommend this one at all. Maybe you can figure it out and play. Good luck!
Hidden Expedition series, at one time, was an automatic purchase because we knew everything about the game would be top notch but the past few have been drastic failures with this one being at the very bottom of the list. If I was head of Eipix I would have taken this concept and sent it back to the developers and tell them to earn their paycheck and make this a 5 star game. The ONLY reason I gave this 2 stars is because at least the graphics are still decent. This has become your typical back and forth, find things to open things, waste your time game with no logic whatsoever in the story line. I mean, c'mon, why does the agent have to clean a dirty engine just to take the head gasket and isn't there anything else in the shop to hold the hood open? very frustrating. I'm sorry, people, but please don't buy this just because of the 4 and 5 star ratings. Look at the 1 and 2 star ratings and play the weak demo before you decide. Needless to say, I can't recommend this game.
First, I never knew Santa had a brother. Second, why does he have to be evil? Oh, wait, because there wouldn't be a game if he wasn't. This has to be one of the worst thought out games ever. There is no logical continuity, the characters are either overly evil, scary looking, or really elfish with minds to match. The games are a joke and the only real HO is in the same place over and over I guess until there is nothing left to find. Mini games are not a challenge at all and are way too frequent. Graphics are ok, great in some places and below average in others and colors are nice. Does it make me nostalgic for Christmas? Hardly because mine aren't evil and without joy. Based on the 4 and 5 star reviews, some people actually think this is a good game, which is fine, but, sadly, I can't recommend this one. It's good in concept but it just needs a little work and tweeking to be a 5 star game. Before you decide, play the demo and maybe you'll see something I missed.
I've played this series before, been a while though, and I have some of the first ones that came out. They are enjoyable, however, this one started out fairly slow and, frankly, pretty idiotic. The characters are leaning toward the comedy side and are hard to take serious. However, the more I got into the game the more I enjoyed playing it. The HOs are a challenge but not to the point of major difficulty. Only had to use 1 hint and the mini games make you think. Graphics are a cross between below average and great. Why they couldn't be great for the whole game, I don't know. The little puppets are well drawn and add just enough comic relief to make this a good game. I recommend this one and, as I have said before, Big Fish needs to add a 1/2 star rating because I would give this a 3 1/2.
This is your typical HO game with nothing really special. Graphics are above average and game play moves along rather briskly although it does retrace quite often. HO's and mini games make you think and are fun. The real redeeming feature about this game, I thought, are the dolls. They are mischievous and troublesome but they are very well drawn and their childlike actions are deceiving. They will cause you all types of grief. Played the complete demo and I recommend this for the not too serious HO gamer. Not for the serious gamer, just a fun little game.
I've seen some bad games on Big Fish and this has to be one of the worst. Story is non existent, graphics are horrible, HOs and games are on the infantile side and overall this is just a bad game. I realize Big Fish presents many, many games to it's players but they need to try and keep the games on a playable level. Some developers are just putting out games just to put them out and don't care about quality. I don't recommend this game and will be deleting the demo.
This is a fun game and started out interesting but it soon became tedious. All you do on each level is pop the bubbles and save the elves. No real challenge here. Graphics are nice but not to write home about and I can't see where you get any reward for rackin' up points unless I missed something. I recommend this one for people that like this kind of game but it's not for me.
Nothing special about this one at all. If there is a story line other than doing all the match 3 levels then I missed it. Graphics are ok and the characters are average at best. Not much in the way of instruction and you can pick either relaxed or timed mode. Not being a match 3 fan I don't recommend this one but if you are a fan then this is the game for you. Have fun.
