This is one of the most boring, and predictable, games I have ever played. You know what is going to happen just about from the opening scene and then you have to waste all that time on the train going back and forth finding small, insignificant things to send you on another boring quest. Colors are ok but not great and the characters are the most deadpan I have seen in a long time even during times of supposed suspense. My suggestion? play the demo if you can get through it and then move on to a better game. Don't bother wasting money or credits.
This may be my new favorite. Started out easy, as is expected, but the challenges are becoming progressively more difficult. They keep the player on their toes. Graphics are excellent as is the action. Characters are well drawn and have that tongue in cheek sense of humor I enjoy. The creatures are becoming more aggressive and harder to eliminate but that's part of the fun. Made it through the first couple of levels and the puzzles related to them are of the same challenge. So far I have been able to progress with not much problem but I'm sure that will change. I highly recommend this game and agree with all the 5 star ratings even though I don't give 5 stars. Play the demo, I think you will be pleasantly intrigued. Have Fun!!
Again, BF needs half stars. This is better than a 3 star but not quite a 4 star. The story line is believable and moves along at a good pace without the constant useless back and forth so prevalent in so many other HO games. There is actually a purpose for the moving around in this one that I enjoyed and kept me on my toes. Characters are well drawn and act like humans and I actually got to play as a man and not a woman. The monsters that show up throughout the game are actually on the scary side and not clownish. I just wish they would jump out at you and give you a jolt rather than just sort of saunter through the scene. Graphics are a little dark but that fits for this game and enhances some scenes. If colors were bright the feeling of dread and fear would not be the same. Played the complete demo and it was over before I realised it so that means I was really into it. Now, who do I save...? I highly recommend this game despite some of the negative remarks. Enjoy!
I have a few other 8Floor games and I thoroughly enjoy them. This one, however, is not one of them. I played 9 minutes of the demo and I knew that was enough. the puzzle pieces are very confusing and it's hard to get them in place, the graphics and colors are depressing and the overall fun factor is nil. I don't recommend this one at all.
This is one of those games if I had played it before I played 2 & 3, I never would have bought them. This was, basically, a tutorial for the others. It taught you all the moves you needed and how to maneuver around the playing field. Nothing exciting and no town or railyard to build. Frankly, I was disappointed yet glad I waited to play this one. If you have the other 2 this would not enhance your collection unless you just have to have them all. I wouldn't waste the money or a credit on this one. As far as recommendation goes, I'm on the fence. Play the demos for all 3 before you decide on this one.
I bought Next Stop 2 and thoroughly enjoyed it and I was happy to see this one come along. The graphics are great, the storyline flows beautifully and the characters are actually intelligent. Next Stop 2 you built the town, in this one you build the train yard to go with it and whoever developed this game is very familiar with trains. There were items in the yard anyone else would have left out such as the coaling tower, signal tower, water tank, overhead crane and maintenance to name a few. Very impressive especially for us train nuts. I need to check out the first Next Stop to see what I missed. I played the demo and knew I had to have this one so I bought it and played it almost nonstop until I finished it. Great TM! This is a must have for all you TM fans out there. Not too difficult but just enough to keep you on top of it. Relaxed and timed mode which I'm trying next. They need 1/2 stars because this is a 4 1/2 star game. Do the demo and have fun! I know I did.
The Kingdom is in chaos! Lady Sarah, the savior of the kingdom has been poisoned! It's up to you to find the culprit in this exciting hidden object adventure.
My title says it all. Love this game! Nice cross between hidden object, match 3, water line connection (for want of a better name) and jigsaw thrown in. The graphics are great and the storyline is easy to follow. I don't know how many chapters are in the game but, so far, they have all been great although they are getting harder. I'm afraid my 3 star chapters may be about over. OH DEAR! That's ok, I'll just replay until I get 3.
I highly recommend this game. Definitely going to try the others in the series. It is a nice diversion from all the other drab and boring HO games.
They actually put this out as a game? I barely made it through 15 minutes before I had to give up. Everything is so typical in this game. I found nothing redeeming at all from the weak story line to the unbelievable characters and almost clownish evil demons. I don't recommend this one at all.
I don't know what it is about this series but I love 'em. Graphics are great, although crowded, characters are true to life and there is an actual storyline that progresses from start to, I assume, finish. This is the first I have purchased but I will probably get some others. Because of the crowdedness of each scene some of the HOs can be a chore but not difficult, just challenging. The mini games are a blast and are a nice little diversion. If you are tired of all the dark foreboding HOs coming out these days then this will be a nice, although maybe too nice, change for you. Like I said, I love them and I highly recommend this series.
I played the SE version of this earlier and this review is based on both so here goes. First, graphics are nice and well thought out. Although this takes place in a frozen landscape, there are areas of warmth thrown in to keep things real. The characters are well drawn and add a lot to the overall scheme of play and diversity. HOs are interesting and have just the right amount of challenge to keep you from getting bored and add to the story. Only thing I didn't like was the ice monsters foot descending on the heroine at the end of the demo. Guess I'll have to buy this one to see how she and her friend escape, which I know they will or else this is a short game. (LOL) I highly recommend this one and It will go into my collection. Play the demo, read the good reviews, and have fun!
