This is a jigsaw puzzle game unlike anything you have ever played before.
The storyline consists of twp professors who meet, one goes off to the jungle, the other stays behind to do research. Unknowing to them both, they are being followed. As you play, the story continues bit by frustrating bit - lol.
The graphics look hand-drawn by are bright and colorful, The background music wasn't annoying or I would have turned it down. I don't recall any sound effects.
There are 5 levels of play but 3 modes of difficulty. I played adventure to get the story. But, even in that mode I had to race against a clock or only having "x" number of moves and more.
What you have is a picture on the screen. In the beginning, the picture flip-flops into only several pieces. You then have to put then back together by swapping pieces, . AMAZING! As you level up (I got to 18) it definitely gets harder, time is against you, and the picture flips into many more squares.
This is the most amazing puzzle game I've come across. I definitely got my personal "wow" factor when the demo was over. If my reaction is "NO!! NOT YET!" it's a definite buy for me. PLEASE try this amazing game. The demo is a very quick hour long and it's FREE to try.
Happy Gaming!
I recommend this game!

The graphics are cute. a game board made up completely of fluttering butterflies. You need to make a match 4 in order to make them disappear. If you make a match of more than 4 you get "multi-match" or "combo-match".
Endless Mode is exactly that - endless. I quit after I reached just over 1,000,000 points. That took about 20 minutes - maybe less. No bonuses or promised elusive rainbow butterfly that would give me a surprise. There was, however, an annoying ladybug that showed up from time to time but I could never figure out what it's purpose was.
Survival Mode played much differently. First, there is a dandelion that counts down your time. You still have to make matches of 4 or more to destroy the butterflies - BUT, for every combo-match or multi-match you make, the dandelion regenerates a little bit. You can actually make a whole new dandelion several times over. I quit when I saved almost 500 butterflies and came in only 2nd to the Flutterbye game itself with less than 30,000 points. This mode is definitely "survival" in that you don't have time to plan and place your butterflies.
There is an error in the "help" section - the next butterfly you see on the branch is NOT your NEXT butterfly but the one in your "hand" at the time. Your NEXT butterfly is behind that one. It's a little disconcerting to have a butterfly "in hand" while playing.
All in all this was not a game for me -- too boring. However, I will recommend the free demo to everyone.
Happy Gaming!

You are Rihanna Ford and have been given an assignment by your boss to go to Rome and examine the Da Vinci Letter for authenticity. You go. But, really, would you go to a country where your husband went previously and disappeared? Nope, not me, even if it cost me my job.
This is an HOG heavy game - they are the crux of the game, in fact. Only broken up by the occasional easy mini game. The characters' voices were unbelievable and the accents horrible.
The list of items in the HOGs were impossible to find because of them being little, tiny things hidden among hundreds of possible other items. Conversation lacked substance.
I uninstalled this game quickly and, frankly, wouldn't recommend anyone wasting a good hour of their time on this poor excuse for an HOG.
I don't recommend this game.

You are Laura Jones, a graduate and assistant to a world famous archeologist who has made an incredible find (been there, done that). You keep having "dreams" when you are actually going through portals every time you touch an artifact he found.
Graphics are poor. Sound is tedious. Characters are wishy-washy and comical - at best. You go from site to site playing HOG, or what I call "hide and seek" because the items you need to find are impossible tiny and oftentimes transparent.
I wouldn't recommend this game if it were for free. Not for me - not going to ask you to waste a precious hour of your time to ruin your eyesight.
I don't recommend this game.

You are supposed to be a lawyer for Defenders of Law, racing off to help those poor innocent unfortunates fight for their freedom. Uh-huh.
The characters were worse than anime printed. The music was tedious and repetitive.
You basically go from building to building and search unlocked rooms for items you can't find because they are impossibly small. That's it. This is an HOG heavy game.
My advice would be to run, and run fast, away from this game. Replay another game you own if you don't have any new ones to tickle your fancy. I wouldn't take this game if it were free. It's THAT bad.
I don't recommend this game.

the items I was looking for in this HOG heavy game.
What lies behind the evil mist at Meane Manor? Is it the manor itself, someone or something else? You are Becky Brogan, a high school senior whose grandmother had left a locket with special power - it allows you to see the unseen - yeah, right - but NOT in the way you think.
The graphics in this game are HORRIBLE. Laid out like a comic book, it reads worse than any mystery you could ever read. Too much conversation and too little action.
You go from area to area playing HOGs - that's all you do - play HOGs. And, I wouldn't have minded that except the items in the first scene are PERFECT but they have you fooled - because the HOG scenes after that are impossibly difficult to find. Your items are hidden among what looks like thousands of tiny items. Your hints are limited unless you find 3 hidden cats in each HOG, then you get 1 additional hint per cat, but even those are worse than impossible to find.
Giving this game 2 stars is a stretch in the wrong direction for me, but 1 star distinguishes the word "hate" and I don't like that word so the worst I can ever give is a 2 star. If I could rate this as no stars that would be more perfect.
Not only will I uninstall as quickly as possible, I cannot in good conscience encourage anyone to try it - free or not. Why ruin your good eyesight?
I don't recommend this game.

The storyline is weak. Graphics poor. Sound equally poor. Not worth the price of a CE.
Storyline:
You are in a bus (but where is everyone else) and talking to the bus driver (huh? oh well, it is the 1960's). You are running through a cornfield, see a little girl on a swing who disappears into ash, then a freaky scarecrow and a huge crow. The bus driver asks you if you had a dream because you had been sleeping. Hmmm, you wonder as the scene passing by you is EXACTLY as in your dream (remind you of a certain movie series?). Suddenly, crows fly into the windshield, the bus crashes into a gully and you're trapped inside while the bus driver is somehow lying on the ground outside. Not a good flow at all. Where are you headed and why? Where is everyone else on the bus?
Graphics:
Poor. Apparently you are on your way to Kansas but the scenery is more desert like than cornfields and flat land. Everything is suitably creepy. But, the colors were too monochromatic. The live act.ors seemed out of place
Sound:
Background music was suitably creepy and sound effects were good - clear and easy to hear. Voiceovers were horrible, the actors' voices were not even with the sound. Good thing you could read your way through.
Game Play:
Here is where things don't flow well. You apparently find your way to a creepy, run-down motel that hasn't been used in years. You have rescued a woman and her baby (but to what end?) and have met a psychic who, so far, has only given you a recipe for a potion that's supposed to heal the bus driver's wound but instead turns him into a zombie that kidnaps the baby. End of demo.
HOGs:
Not plentiful and very interactive. Find item 1, put it to use and find another item. This continues until you have found all the items and are left with 1 - that will go into your inventory. No instructions given - you have to figure this out yourself.
Mini Games:
More than HOGs. Vary from easy to fairly difficult. There is a reset button. Skip takes forever.
There are 4 levels of difficulty - casual, normal, expert and custom. "Custom" does not allow you to change the recharge for the hint or skip buttons. There is no tutorial. You ultimately find a camera which you keep and which contains your strategy guide, Help (instructions for the game), Shots (pictures automatically taken by your camera and adds your notes to them) and Entries (your notes). You also find a map which shows where you are and where action is needed. It doesn't seem like you visit many places but you do go back and forth quite a bit. I thought it wasn't transportable but ONCE it did transport me to a location - then no more. The hint button is helpful and recharges fairly quickly.
CE bling is negligible and I was unable to find what is offered. During the game it became known I was to collect 34 bills to use in the Gift Shop.
This is definitely a creepy game ... with zombies. The story doesn't flow well. And it's definitely not worth the price of a CE. IF I choose to buy it, I will wait for the SE and see how I feel about it then. In the meantime, I encourage everyone to try it. You get an amazing 90 minutes to play and the demo is free. Who knows? Maybe you'd enjoy a night at the Fright Motel!!!
Happy Gaming!

Storyline:
Abraham Shadowy, a mechanical engineer, has purchased an old hotel. Little did the townspeople know it would turn into a huge success. Shadowy played upon the hotel's ancient history and promised guests that they would see "real ghosts". But, people started disappearing. And you were called in by your friend, James, to help investigate the cause. Is there something sinister afoot? Or is it all smoke and mirrors? Play the game to find out.
Graphics:
Although the colors were amazing, everything appropriate to the creepiness of each room, I was a bit disappointed. During the opening scene, we had major lip syncing, however, during the game that stopped. Then, you just had the characters standing, sitting, kneeling, whatever, and talking (through their nose? ears? fingers?). I absolutely dislike when a game starts with such promise and then regresses.
Sound:
Pretty good, I must say. Not great, but pretty good. The appropriate squeaks, crashes, booms, wails, etc. as appropriate for each situation. The music from the gramophone was non-existent as something came out of it. Hmmm. That could have been improved upon. If there was any background music, sorry, I had the volume turned down.
Game Play:
It was very interesting that you started out with a "light source" amulet looking thing but by the end of the demo it was still not completely put together. There was a LOT of back and forthing but very worth it. In every room you came to, you established if the spookiness and hauntedness of the Hotel was real or fake. Not gonna say - you have to play the demo at least.
The hint button takes a bit to recharge. It is extremely helpful, however, in that it will also transport you to the room you need to go to next. There is a diary, but as far as I could tell, didn't retain clues, just the same notes, pieces of paper you found. Redundant. There is a map in the form of a compass which is transportable and tells you where an active area is and where there is not. I don't know if it indicates when an area is finished because you do go back and forth a lot.
HOGs:
Pretty standard stuff. List of items to find with some interaction but not a lot. Very easy to find the items you need. Had no problems whatsoever.
Mini Games:
Scattered here and about. I did not have to skip any and found them all relatively easy, although sometimes it did take a bit to figure out exactly what to do.
So, there you have it. This Glam-ma enjoyed the game. Didn't use the hint button to transport me about - I thought that was too much like cheating. Although the map made it a little too easy as well. I was intrigued by the game. What will we find out in the end? Is the hotel really haunted? Or is this some ploy with a more sinister end? This Glam-ma has already purchased the CE version of the game and can't wait to find out.
Happy Gaming

I'm still on the fence about how I feel about the latest in the Dark Parables series. This game was just TOO bright.
Storyline:
You, the Detective, are back on the job. On your way to Mt. Snezk in Czechoslovakia to find out what is causing flowers to dispel a pollen that makes people sick. You are to meet up with Rapunzel because it is believed she will be of help to you. But, are you aware that Rapunzel had a sister? Belladonna? Who is forcing her to sing and that's what's causing the deadly pollen. Wend your way through a myriad of fairy tales to help Rapunzel and stop the pollen from propagating throughout Floria.
Graphics:
I've loved all the past Dark Parables games, however, everything was so GOLD and BRIGHT, it actually hurt my eyes. I even tried to "window" my options instead of full screen and that didn't help at all.
Sound:
The background music is very relaxing and soothing. Voiceovers are mostly heard at the onset of the game but you do converse with several characters from previous Dark Parables' games.
Game Play:
I got somewhat confused during the game play because I seemed to go everywhere at once, never quite completing an area before moving on to another and another and another. You pick up a LOT of inventory items and it seemed to me that some belonged way back at the beginning of the story. In any event, your goal is to get to the tower and rescue Rapunzel.
HOGs:
FRAGs - which I dislike but which are the usual for this series of games.
Mini Games:
While they may seem easy at first, they do take some thinking to get through. There are no reset buttons so you have to exit out and re-enter the game to try again. You can choose to skip the game, however, you will be penalized by losing your hint button for several minutes.
There are 3 levels of difficulty - casual, normal and hard. You choose them through the "options". There is the usual tutorial you can choose to take or not. There is no journal/diary, however, there is a useless map - it is not transportable so I don't see much use for it. The hint button can direct you where to go next and it recharges fairly quickly.
There seems to be a lot going on in the CE Bling "on paper" but not so sure it measures up in reality.
CE Bling:
Bonus Game and Strategy Guide
Collect 20 flower stones for a "surprise"
Collect 20 cursed (morphing) objects
Puzzles - 4 (locked)
Wallpaper - locked (there appear to be 3 pages with 6 on the first page)
Movie Gallery - locked (there appear to be 2 pages with 9 on the first page)
Music - 5 tracks
Concept Art - locked (there appear to be 2 pages with 12 on the first page)
Parable Notes - CE was locked but the SE was open (5)
Collectibles included:
Achievements - 26
Pop-Up Notes - locked (there appear to be 9 pages with 6 on the first page)
Items - Various and sundry things to find - 2 pages worth
As I said, I am on the fence regarding this latest game in the series. The impression is there is a LOT of CE Bling but after playing I'm not so sure. The graphics are extremely golden and too bright - hurt my eyes after a while. I didn't really get the "wow" factor after the demo was over and that not only disappointed me but surprised me as well.
I wonder if this is the last in the series because every Parable in the series is encountered in some way here. If so, their inclusion did not flow well. For the above reasons, I'm going to hold out for the SE and make my purchasing decision then. I do encourage everyone to try this latest in the series. You get an amazing 90 minutes to play and it goes by very quickly. Plus, it's free to try. Here's hoping you enjoy it.
Happy Gaming!

If this isn't the most ingenious game I've come in a while, well, I just don't know what to say - lol.
Storyline:
Massive. Starts off pretty typical. Chieftain prays to the gods to help his tribe. BUT, the cool part is every 5 levels you complete gives you another piece of the story AND with 150 levels of game play that's got to be a pretty great tale to tell.
Graphics:
Pretty good. Colors bright and cheery.
Sound:
Background music was tuned out but I love the sound effects of the matched colors exploding.
Game Play:
On your game board are a cupcake-looking circles of various colors. There are letters upon some of these circles. The object of the game many-tiered. By rotating a group of 3 (which can be done several ways) colored circles you attempt to match a group of 3 or more like colors. BUT, the ultimate goal is to remove the colored circles with the letters on them. You DO NOT need to form words, just remove those lettered circles. When all the lettered circles have been removed, level over. EXCEPT, a picture of a round artifact appears as well as a blank board to its right. The letters you removed from the previous game board will show up as a word and then pop on over to the blank board, with the letters spread about everywhere. Every 5 levels, a piece of the artifact lights up and all the letters become a piece of the story. Trust me when I say that when you play this game it will all make sense.
The ways the game keeps you from achieving your goal are ingenious. Just when you think you have the hang of it - a different block is put in your way. But, never 2 types of blocks in one level. At least, in the 16 levels I played there weren't.
This is quite a fun and quirky and imaginative game (great work devs). It is relaxing while being addictive. This Glam-ma is definitely putting it in on my wish list. I encourage everyone, including whole families, to try this game. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. The hour went by very quickly and it's free to try.
Happy Gaming!
