You get a message that your father has gone missing after finding what could be the 12 pieces of a mythical artifact in China. Your mother knows he's disappeared but doesn't know what to do. So, you, the daughter, go off in search of your father.
This is not a very complicated game. In each "level" you must find several objects that are fragmented into pieces (I usually hate those types of games), then you place the completed items into their appropriate places which are silhouetted in the scene on the screen. Sometimes, however, you may have to go to a different area to either find a fragmented item to use in another room OR place a completed item in a different room. There is also 1 itemized list HOG which is easy to complete.
The graphics are good, the sound - well, the background music was soooooo soothing it tactual made a type of game I dislike (frogs) very enjoyable. Sound effects in the HOGs when you mis-click on an item is an annoying "thunk". No penalty for over clicking. The hint button annoyed me because it never really pointed to a item but showed the general area. And it seemed to take forever and a day to recharge the fire-breathing dragon that is the hint button. There is a journal that you MUST read - if not for facts and clues than for a great story told by the father.
I was immensely surprised how much I really liked this game. Not a 5 star loved it but definitely a strong 4 rating. I definitely encourage EVERYONE to try this game - the demo is free and it's only an hour of your time, which goes by swiftly.
This game is a lot like Tetris for those who like that game. I can see where it would be incredibly addictive. There are 3 levels of play - Classic, Shark and Frenzy. There is a full page of instructions.
Unfortunately for me, you can ONLY use arrow or keyboard controls to maneuver. I am no longer that good at using those keys and am spoiled by my mouse - lol. If I could have used my mouse I probably would have loved this game.
Even so, I encourage everyone who loves those Tetris type games to try this. The demo is free for an hour to try.
Ok, so strike one for me because I thought this was a regular shop that sold gifts and not a Christmas shop. Yes, that matters. It's July 1 and the Christmas music eventually drove me batty because it's 100 degrees (at night) and humid and miserable.
In any case, this is the most unusual match 3 game I've ever encountered. You not only make match 3 or more of the same colored holiday balls, but you don't swap, you have to drag the rows and you not only can make them a ROW of 3 or more but 3 can take the shape of an "L". Go figure. There was NO explanation of that one. Then, there are cracked balls, lumps of coal that NEVER go away and customers to keep happy (so feed them treats) and a daily dollar amount you have to reach but it's NOT a time management game at all.
This was probably the most boring match 3 game I've ever played but, go ahead, give it a whirl, it just might be the gift you've been shopping for.
This could have been a good game if they would have taken just ONE plot, idea, etc. and focused on that. Instead, conversations are inane and too numerous, HOGs have nothing to do with the "plot" (or one of the sub-plots), for example - Oh no, there's a dog under that junk pile, let's get it out. You never see a dog but you do hear it and a dog has NOTHING to do with ANYTHING.
The HOGs are horrible because the items are located in a monochromatic color scheme jumbled with too many items to find your teeny tiny ones. The mini games varied from incredibly easy to difficult. No talking, just voiceovers and cut scenes - and too many of those.
This "story" doesn't tell a story at all. It has too many sub-plots and useless plots that I don't think even the devs thought were there. The supposed storyline is weak and doesn't flow or make sense at all.
While this is not a buy for me at all, I urge you to try it before you buy it. It may be the longest hour of your life but at least it's free to try.
Happy Gaming!
I don't recommend this game.

Journalist Journey: The Eye of Odin
Strange, glowing symbols are appearing all over the world and one reporter is determined to get to the bottom of it!
Overall rating
4/ 5
Glowing Symbols, Mysterious Runes, A Plane Crash and ??????
Well, that's the part you have to find out - the "what" part.
You are a journalist who has somehow stumbled upon the story of a lifetime. You begin by following the runes found and, after a Professor schooled in the Arts of Language tells you to get more information at a plane crash rather than from him. Well, off you go. End of demo.
This is primarily an HOG game. You visit individual sites (sometimes several times) and do an HOG, followed by a mini game. HOGs are difficult because the scenes are dark, monochromatic and the items tiny or impossible to see in the miasma of junk piled items. Mini-games were all fairly easy.
I was surprised that I got my personal "wow" factor when the demo ended because during the first 1/2 hour or so I thought I'd die of boredom if this was all the game was about (monotonous verbose dialogue that you read - no voiceovers here - that you can't click through or skip because you'll miss the story - and some clues). Hint takes forever and a day to recharge.
I'm on the fence about this game. Maybe if it turns up as a daily special I'll give it a go. Seems like a lot of locations to visit so decent length.
I encourage everyone to try it at least for the free hour-long demo. Who knows? Maybe there's a little sleuthing in your blood - lol.
I loved playing this game so much I couldn't believe it when the hour demo was over - definitely got my personal "wow' factor (when the demo ends and my reaction is "NO! NOT YET!") LOL. I
This is played exactly like the other versions of this game except for a few major changes. One, this has a strictly Halloween background and soundtrack. Two, the bonuses were far better. And, three, the relaxed mode was just that, relaxed, no timers. Just the way I like to play my games.
This is definitely on my wish list this coming Halloween. I encourage everyone to try this game. Especially if you've planned the other versions of this game (i.e., Runes of Avalon). If you liked those games - you'll love this one.
The goal of the game is to make matches of 3 or more colored runes. As you make matches, the runes' coordinating colored balls (at the top left of the game board) begin to fill. Make enough matches of each colored rune to fill those balls to complete the level. Sound easy enough? Not. The colored runes are scattered all over the game board making this a game of strategy as well as matching. Strategically place your runes (which come in a variety of groupings) so you can make as many substantial matches as possible before time runs out. Interspersed every few levels are various mini games which I found quite easy. As you level up, and play the mini games, you will earn bonuses
This is a fun, addicting and not relaxing game (for me anyway). It's not a purchase for me because I don't like strategy games. Although, I DO recommend and encourage everyone to give this one a try. The demo is a very quick hour and it's fREE to try out. If you haven't already played a game like this, who knows? You may have found a new genre to enjoy
This is a fun and quirky little game that has a similar game play to solitaire.
Your goal is to remove all the numbered barrels from the game board. There is a starter barrel at the bottom of the screen. Place any of the following numbered barrels on it - the same number, one number higher or one number lower. If you end with a nine or one you can place a one or nine on that. For example - 7, 7 , 7 8. 9, 9. 1, 1, 9, 8, etc. It may look and sound hard but once you "get" it, it is fun and relaxing and addictive. The colors on the barrels help you get extra points by matching numbers to the colors. For example, if you have a yellow 7 and place another yellow 7 or yellow 6 or yellow 8 on it, you get a bonus match.
This game was over before I knew it. If I didn't already have my credits dedicated to another game, I'd purchase this right away - as it is though, it goes on my wish list.
I strongly encourage everyone to at least try this game. The demo is a very quick hour and it's FREE.
Your family is taking a trek across Egypt but your daughter brought along the cat, who got loose in a museum and ended up in a Pyramid. Of course, you all go in the pyramid after it....then...well havoc ensues. It's not bad enough you are lost in this pyramid but when a secret door opens off goes your daughter on her own - then BAM - there's a cave in and you tell her to stay there - but does she? You find a side door and proceed that way but before your son can get through - BAM AGAIN - the door closes. You holler for him to stay there - but does her?
This is a story about a family lost in a pyramid because they couldn't follow Rule No.1 - stay together. You get the opportunity to place each of the son, daughter and parents. Going through rooms, finding items, getting lost, etc
The graphics are poor. Probably because it was meant for 3D vision glasses - it says that at the beginning of the game.
It was ok but I won't purchase it. However, I always try to recommend others to give it a whirl.
Happy Gaming.
I recommend this game!

Invadazoid
This dynamic game mixes the game play of Space Invaders with the arkanoid-style fun of your favorite brick-busting games.
If you remember the classic game of Space Invaders and loved it - well, get ready to enjoy an updated version of a game that's similar.
Background music was techy and annoyed me so I turned it down. Sound effects were pretty cool when the aliens screamed when I hit them. LOL.
How to play? Well, there are several modes of play: survival, invasion (it's totally brick breaking but there are aliens descending and moving back and forth across the screen - you get bonuses when you hit certain aliens but at the same time bombs are being dropped on your spaceship at the bottom of the screen - extra points for hitting the random mother ships that fly by), classic (your spaceship just shoots one shot at a time and tries to destroy the aliens as they descend and go back and forth across the screen. No bonuses for you but they are shooting bombs left and right), and boss (locked).
This is the best of both worlds (hah - I said worlds - aliens, defending our world - get it?) in this version of a classic arcade game gone above and beyond (I slay me - LOL).
I highly recommend anyone who loves a good arcade game or brick breaking game or shooter game to give this a try. My only complain was my ship was too small. The demo is a very quick hour long and it's FREE to try.
