I got this game as a daily deal for 2.99! The mini-games were fun and original. I especially loved the M3 with the blocks --that one would have made a good game by itself. The ones towards the end were especially good too. There was a couple that I didn't understand, so those, I just skipped.
If you don't want to use the hints, I suggest you take a lot of notes, because there is a lot to this game, and it will have you running around. I loved it, but I didn't mind using the hints, and the map always teleported me to where I wanted to be.
I loved that a couple of items you kept with you and reused over again, like the flint and Fluffy the cat. I feel it should be standard equipment that all players enter a HOG with an issued crowbar, screwdriver, pruners, lantern, scissors and knife, but I digress.
I haven't played Bloody Mary yet, but so far this is my favorite Grim Tales. It's detailed and long, especially for a SE game, and it's well worth the full price. Don't forget to take breaks once in awhile --it's more fun that way. :)
You've arrived in the peaceful resort town of Aurora Peak to investigate some mysterious local crystals. But the devious plot you uncover there could endanger the entire world!
This game had me from the moment I first started to play the demo. The graphics are beautiful with lots of color. The story is integrated into the game play nicely. The mini-games, for the most part, are fun and original. The HOS are varied and balanced well with game play.
The only downside that I can find, so far, is the hint system. It doesn't work well: It's vague and if it directs you to leave the scene, then it needs to recharge. However, the map is totally integrated, and the game is easy enough that the hint system doesn't need to be involved.
I've really enjoyed playing this game. I finished the demo at the end of chapter 2. Now I need to purchase this game because the last hour just flew by.
This is a great TM game. The controls are smooth. The game is colorful. The instructions are understandable. There are lots of achievements to collect. Best of all: You can play in relaxed mode! ...anytime! I play TM games to wake up in the a.m., but I also play them to relax and for a change of pace. This game has everything I like in a TM game. Most of all, it's addicting. Give it a try, but be warned: This game gets challenging.
These games just keep getting better! One thing I noticed was that there wasn't a journal, but everything you could need is in the map feature. This game is fun to play. All the elements that we love in this series is in this game, including Elf the dog. The story, visuals, mechanics, sound --are all great. Have fun!
This game is very well made, and the more I play, the more I'm enjoying it. The visuals are great, very colorful, and the levels aren't too long. You can collect resources by mousing over them when the workers are done, which I like. The only downside, for me, is that there should have been more levels. There's only forty. Also, I would have preferred an untimed feature, but you have plenty of time to finish a level, and getting the gold seems achievable.
I'm glad I bought this game. It's very well developed --graphics, game mechanics, sound make it a sheer pleasure to play. The mini-games are original and creative. The game is complete without the bonus chapter, but the bonus chapter continues the story, and it's nice and long. I really enjoyed playing this game and I highly recommend it.
This is a fun game, along the same lines as MKFTP and Island Tribe series. The graphics are clear. Some levels I wanted to beat the clock and get gold, and some I didn't. The walk through works great to glance at before playing a level to try to get the gold on the first try.
This game does use a lot of rapid point and click, but it also uses strategy, and that's why you can enjoy it without the timer. It would have been nice to have been able to cancel a task because once you click on something, you can't undo it.
This is a good M3 for the family but may be too hard for the younger ones. It gets challenging as it progresses. In the relaxed mode, you can enjoy all the different nuances to the game. It's also more fun to play when one doesn't feel "rushed" to complete a level.
There's other things to do, like HO and mini-games. The ghosts are cute. And, as it sometimes happens, the "cuteness" factor doesn't match the level of difficulty for the game. That's why I say it may be too hard for younger kids.
I haven't finished this game yet, and the only reason I haven't bought it yet is because I don't want to start a new punch card on the 30th. However, I'll definitely be getting this game...What time is it? :)
This game has been on my wish list to try, so I'm happy to be able to play it so soon now on Big Fish Unlimited. The graphics were splendid --the blues and greens of the scenery was very relaxing. The story was appealing: Help someone with special abilities who's traveled to an island to find his missing parents. The HOs were two dimensional and the puzzles were intriguing.
However, quite often I felt like I was traveling here and there, carrying a bunch if items around, going from one thing to the next. It started to become tedious. Even the controls seemed a little rough at times, like when I would hit the wrong button and exit the scene I was in.
Give it a try and see how you like it. I seem to be in the minority on this one. Most people seem to love it. I don't dislike the game, it just didn't do it for me. FAV: Journey to Atlantis
Within five minutes of playing, I knew that this game was going to be good. It has a great story line, interactive game play that can be totally customized, and the little imp just pushes it over the top, making it a five star game imo. I definitely recommend giving this game a try. Thank you Big Fish and EleFun. I loved it!
