Collecting badges and dream catchers throughout as well as certain Achievements. This is a rather easy and easy going Adventure with lots of bells, whistles and awesome graphics. However, prefer more depth to a game in terms of challenge and then add the eye candy.
Everything nicely done, except, I wonder if the guys aren't a bit tired of seeing a majority of leading roles in the feminine gender?
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I recommend this game!

Played Demo immediately when BFG first released over the weekend and then promptly uninstalled. Storyline was flat, utterly ridiculous and boring.
Storyline--What parent is going to travel internationally, enroll and then TRANSPORT their child to a "school' that looks like your worse nightmare?
BFG Members, such as myself, rely on reliable reviews and I don't understand the rave reviews.
So, I did a little digging here on BFG and happily discovered a tad bit older games that are less the "dog-and-pony show" act and more "creative"--in my humble opinion, such as the "Strange Cases" series.
Typically, ERS Developers release excellent games--"Haunted Halls, Grim Facade, Redemption Cemetery" and also a fun and light-hearted series "Steve the Sheriff".
For new BFG Members, welcome! If you like this game, great, however, if not, there are many AWESOME games here on BFG both new and older.
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I don't recommend this game.

Just got around to playing and I enjoyed game very much,
Red, Green and Blue colored Tarot cards indicated items to be found which was a pleasant mix of words, silhouettes or fragmented objects to be played out in each HO scene.
Uncomplicated. Very creative. Scenes were clear and mostly uncluttered which I appreciate. Purchased all three of the Strange Cases and have replayed them several times.
If you are looking for a game that you haven't played yet, I would recommend giving this mystery a try.
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Just what I was looking for with uncluttered, good-sized hidden object scenes and relaxing gameplay. Played several times both Easy and Normal modes and there was a difference in challenge--but nothing extreme.
Story is about a witch who has captured a small town 100 years ago--sometimes the town appears and then vanishes again. You are a "gifted" FBI Agent who stumbles upon the town as it has mysteriously re-appeared, however, your boyfriend wanders off into the town, after he wrecks the truck, and you are determined to find "Sam".
There are 3 Strange Cases Games and I've played Grey Mist Lake first so onto the others. Really a good game to actually relax and not have to find bonus items with too many interactive hidden objects or earn Achievements.
I went into the game without high expectations and enjoyed playing very much as it was simplistic, uncomplicated and fun.
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I recommend this game!

Light-hearted, humorous approach to an old blood-thirsty legend, the game's vampire jokes take away from the usual fright associated with the most famous Count of all time--in this case--Count Draco.
The game has some good qualities such as do-able HO scenes, game moves quickly and beautiful artwork. .
Based on short demo only, game does look like it gets more interesting. Will wait on other BFG Reviews before making purchase, though. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Purchased a while ago and just got around to playing. Was this game intense and in no way was I prepared for the graphic content. Took over three full days to play and I could not drag myself away.
Once you get an idea of what is expected, gameplay runs smoothly and is one of the fastest, for me, of all the Large File Adventure games ever played. Not really any wasted running around as Van Helsing would say, "I'm in need of something" whenever a particular item was needed and you simply cannot go any further.
The voice overs and movie scenes were astonishing in their professionalsim. No corners were cut in this Adventure!
I liked battling ghouls and vampires, especially matching wits against Count Dracula. Will not settle for any sequel other than Dracula: Origin 2 and don't see anything here on BFG so will have to wait. Would be great to have a follow up on the main characters i.e. Mustapha, the Monk, even Igor. ^_^
To sum up the graphic nature, it is best to quote Van Helsing, "Ahhhh! How Dreadful!"
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I recommend this game!

Another of City Interactive's classic as well as excellent point and click adventure games. A true adventure with many twists and turns to try and discover if the Tree of Life is a myth or a reality. Such depth and intensity is well worth five-plus stars.
All of the Chronicles of Mystery are life-like and 3-D and seems like you have jumped into an interactive novel especially when several escape scenes must be completed within a certain time frame.
The release dates for those interested Gamers follows.
They are all-- Chronicles of Mystery:
1. Scorpio Ritual - Released in Nov. 2008
2. The Tree of Life - Released in Dec. 2009
3. Legend of the Sacred Treasure - Nov. 2010
4. Secret of the Lost Kingdom - April 2011
One of many positives in being a BFG Member/Adventure Game Lover is that I can play a Large File game and then delete afterwards knowing I can always download at a later date so as to free up my computer memory.
Highly recommend this Adventure!
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Specialbit really has a handle on this 3rd in their Haunted Hotel series. More an adventure genre and ultra creative in putting together all those items picked up by you the FBI Agent, to get the job done.
Bravo on the extra large hidden object scenes woven into play--clear and crisp. Thank you! Very good game length. Mini-games with some math--not my favorite subject but got through it. Lots of rooms to explore and I always like when there's more than one character within the game.
A good hidden object adventure game is one that can actually be played and enjoyed without having to consult a Walkthrough every step and Haunted Hotel: Lonely Dream is exactly that type of game. Memories of my first Computer Programming classes where we actually wired our boards and ran punched cards still reminds me that I am not a computer wizard--although I should be by now. It's a good feeling of accomplishment to complete a game that other obvious computer geniuses developed--although I'm sure they held back and could have easily made this game much more complicated than fun to play.
As it is, it's fun and I enjoyed my stay at the Lonely Dream Hotel.
Thank you Specialbit Developers and BFG!!
Onward to Haunted Hotel: Charles Dexter Ward CE!!

ERS Developers hit upon a truly immersive, hidden object adventure game! You are in for a treat as the plot develops from finding your missing boyfriend who initially visited Green Hills to conduct an investigation into you discovering a macabre adventure.
A gamer's delight as you conduct gruesome searches along your quest in finding boyfriend Tim, all the while-- unveiling and unfolding ten patients' nightmarish "rooms" to ultimately free Tim.
As Winston Churchill, the greatest Historian of all time said, "The greatest thing to fear is fear itself", this game paves the way for us to relate with some of those inner fears exhibited by both male and female patients who mistakenly entrusted their minds and bodies to a complete and utter madman--Dr. Blackmore!!
Armed only with your courage, wits and a journal, numerous HO scenes, puzzles and Green Hills Sanitarium await you!
I would certainly recommend the Collector's Edition for the added Bonus Content. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

A welcome change from dark and gloomy, Inbetween Land is a sci-fi realm developed by SpecialBit Studio. Gamers love to fly and lose themselves in space and time without giving up all sense of reality and this game offers that to gamers.
Not really a FROG with those tortuous, unrecognizable little bits and pieces to find, the HO scenes have clear objects pieced together that are necessary to that scene as well as other puzzles and explorations to do. A modernized Adventure-type game slimmed down to save time calories.
Only problem there could be--is that gamers are locked into a certain type of gameplay and so this is not the same-old, same-old. I have purchased all the Haunted Hotel installments as well by this Developer.
Tired of looking for darts and scissors within dark scenes, this game offers a different environment entirely and worthy of a purchase from me. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I recommend this game!
