Lots of artwork, objects, puzzles. Everything seemed too small and cluttered for playing on laptop more than ample screen size.
Usually play on hardest level, without skipping puzzles or using hints and had to change to Casual not due to the difficulty level but rather the clutter and running about.
Will read other full game length reviews. Not a buy for me.
My 1st observation was the amount of time and attention dedicated to the "details" in this game. Scene after scene, there is no wasted space, which is filled with surreal, colorful artwork, sounds and loads of object interactivity--more Adventure than Hidden Object, I would venture to say. This gamer was pleasantly surprised and happy to add to the ever-growing BFG Collection. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
New Orleans LA is the story's backdrop and everything typically associated such as The Mardi Gras, Voodoo, Black Magic, the New Orleans P.D.
Although newer games are more sophisticated PCI stands in a category all it's own. Colors are vibrant with an interesting and unusual story line. Happy that I waited for today's CE Special to add to my BFG Game Collection.
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I recommend this game!

Escape the Emerald Star
You awake to find your cruise ship abandoned and in disarray. Can you track down all the fragments of a map and escape the ship?
Always looking for the really good game that, for whatever reason, either I missed or fell through the BFG "high-rating review" cracks.
"Escape the Emerald Star", is a QUALITY HOG with a decent story, clear, fun and creative hidden objects--quite simply a genuine, straightforward hidden object game--not so much an interactive movie, The quality is also in the details-- which kept my interest and makes this game super fun--good graphics, challenging, yet simplified objects, timed or untimed mode, choice of difficulty levels, cut-scenes, bonus content, ability to replay hidden object scenes, achievements and replay to improve scores.
Hidden object goals include higher scoring for fast finds as well as locating 2 anchors in each of the 25 scenes (50 in all) that unlocks the Special Bonus Mystery Game and attaining specific Achievements!
In all, a very fun--and challenging game for me to play without worrying that I've lost my place and must back track to refresh my memory. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Thank you CATEIA Developers and BFG for bringing this awesome, mysterious and intriguing Adventure Game experience which immediately draws the Gamer into play. This, in my opinon, is unparalleled Gaming GREATNESS!
Unlike HOG's that usually take us by the hand and lead us throughout, Adventure-style gaming such as "Red Crow Mysteries: Legion" requires more thought and brings with it a feeling of satisfaction in overcoming a bit more complicated challenges.
There are Achievements to collect which is always an added Bonus for me and no mis-click penalties since Adventure Games are meant to fully explore. I absolutely love taking my time and enjoy the artwork, story line and creativity poured into such a work of "heart".
Seems Reviewers write comparatively the same descriptions about most BFG Games. "Redemption Cemetery Grave Testimony" for me, certainly appears to have "the right stuff" of all the positive written reviews--rolled into this one game--from the start and all throughout the demo. Indeed, the CE is a purchase for me. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Maybe it's the fact that the plot involves dogs, however, I immediately became quite attached to this game and could hardly wait to purchase.
There's a violent pack of dogs attacking people, but first there's the sound of a horn, and then another, and then they're gone!!
As gameplay begins, children are playing outside in the snow and I am screaming at them to get inside as there is a pack of violent dogs out there somewhere. Oh, boy! Seems to me that when a game's story line is that intense along with awesome graphics, I want it, so,maybe I'll read the CE reviews a little more and decide rather than jump on the SE too fast. Either way, this game is a purchase!
Pleased that BFG is showcasing Caribbean Hideaway on a Daily Deal although this game is well worth the regular BFG Game price. Purchased in 2008 and still play this very awesome, ahead of it's time, Match-3 game.
Matching does get more challenging so this is not a mindless match-3 where solving is too easy. You can earn very different and fun power-ups--such as cannon balls--during gameplay, however, know when to use them so that you'll be prepared for the more challenging levels. Trickier levels require using all earned power-ups to progress.
Fun characterizations and sound effects with bright, crisp screens. There is just nothing wrong with this super awesome fun match-3 game. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
If there ever was a Hall of Fame for Computer Games, which there should be, Syberia I & II would win a spot for sure. Like Rock 'n Roll Music, it's been around a number of years and will always be loved by somebody--no matter their age.
I own the hard copies as well for my "Gaming Collection" and am a Grandmother of 8 so my review is based on quite a number of years in the gaming industry---as far back as when the Commodore Computer 1st hit the shelves....whoa!
You will love Kate as she continues her journey from Syberia I into strange lands, meets unusual people and faces unique challenges. Easily accessible Walkthroughs make gaming (too) easy whereas a game can be played in several hours rather than days and weeks.
I am happy to purchase Syberia II today on a BFG Daily Deal Special. Thank you BFG to offer this game as well as other Classics like RealMyst (Myst), the Nancy Drew Series and others which are easily played at the click of a button.
Travel from the deepest trenches of the Atlantic Ocean to the awe-inspiring wonders of Mars as you solve the greatest archeological puzzle known to man: the origin of Atlantis.
Absolutely 5th star for taking BFG Gamers out of this world! Developers skipped nothing in terms of EXCELLENCE concerning the Interactive Map, Appropriate HO's and Game Challenge. Storyline, Visuals and Graphics.
I usually play the most challenging level to fully experience and appreciate--especially a true masterpiece as this game and had I not spent all my allowance on BFG's $2.99 Weekend Special, I'd purchase immediately.
