I've seen this game often times and passed due to the fright level. I don't believe any other game could ever shock or scare me as Dracula: Origin--which I just completed.
Exorcist invokes fright with no comparison and this is not an easy game and you can't just whisk through it--which I like a challenge. Objects are challenging, yet, can be seen and the Hint system is generous. Enjoyed the mysterious, and intriguing story as well as the excellent voice overs added more depth to game playing.
I know many BFG Members are very brave and courageous, however, these types of games give me quite a scare and I frequently stop and walk away. Been doing that a lot lately.
If you like a challenge with a bit of fright, this is a good game.
Anyway, back to the game as I did the old "walk away" so as to write a brief review.
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I recommend this game!

The storyline is not all that important to me, however, I like suspense that has a fairly believable plot. Sable Maze not suspenseful, yet, the artwork completely blows you away and could make this game truly great if gamers latch onto this one. Could possibly be a 2012 Winner or Runner Up--at least.
Played hardest mode and I have to laugh because they still give hints throughout game--which is okay and gives me a chuckle.
Cursor turns to a bony skeleton pointing finger whenever you reach something that needs attention so gamers can't miss or overlook--which I've done plenty of times and get stuck and have to backtrack--but not here. You'll find your way around very well and can refer to Map and Journal.
Hidden Object scenes are very important to me as a Gamer mostly because I like Adventure and BFG has mostly HOG with Adventure. HO Objects can be found and are interactive so you can solve quickly and get on with the Adventure part. Puzzles in Demo were fun with the right amount of challenge.
I think the game will do very well and will appeal to all ages.
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I recommend this game!

Who said, "there's no such thing as bad publicity". I think it was Howard Hughes.
Normally, unpopular BFG games receive a few negative reviews. However, this lovely game is receiving more than it's share of undeserved negative feedback for whatever reason and I wanted to add my review to set the record straight.
I'm with sporty gal and enjoyed playing this wholesome, entertaining and original game.
Masterful artwork! My eyes appreciate the well defined graphics which are a good-size, clear, crisp, bright and colorful. Game allows you to think without monotonous instructions.
Lovely and relaxing game, really. A story with few words, hurray! I tied right into the whole game concept immediately without lenghty explanations and instructions. Gotcha! Have to figure things out. Okay! Some variations on hidden objects, thank goodness. No sparkles, hurray again!
Let's greet Pixel Haze Game Developers with a warm BFG "welcome". Language barriers are not an issue with us as we are members from around the world! After all, we are like family as BFG members/gamers-- who usually express our opinions respectfully as well as offer constructive comments and criticisms--where needed--to help improve this and all future games!
Otherwise, BFG members, for a long, long time, we will be receiving the same-type of "doom and gloom" games, over and over which has flooded our BFG pages.
We need more diversity and this game delivers in an advanced, yet, simplistic manner.
A definite purchase for me!

My first encounter with Haunted Halls was Green Halls Sanitarium and then Fears From Childhood.
Eerie, weird and spooky sci-fi themed HOPA, ERS Devs pull out all the stoppers in terms of allowing their imaginations to run wild. I just recently finished the 2nd in series--"Fears from Childhood" and had a sneaking suspicion we'd be seeing Dr. Blackmore again.
This 3rd in series is kinda the same, yet different and I would like to see ERS retire Dr. Blackmore hereafter or get this guy some serious treatment.
At this point, more interested and curious to see what other mind-bending, twisted, macabre, bazaar, freakish ideas ERS yet have up their sleeves for us hungry BFG Fishies.

If you've ever wanted to try an Adventure Game or are an avid Adventure Game player such as myself, this is a great little game to relax, unwind and get involved in a good Mystery story Adventure game.
Not actually a 360 game where you zoom around with a dizzying effect-- you do have to look thoroughly because there's no sparkles here!
While searching for "something different" than gloom and doom, found this lovely young lady and an interesting story.
Thoroughly enjoyed playing this game and getting to know Carol and hearing her very awesome British accent. Carol is not a big talker nor is anyone else in this first installment. Scenes are a mixture of artwork and photography--too cool.
Onto the next in this series on BFG which is #3 in the series--"Time Stand Still".
If interested, the following are listed according to release dates and BFG availability:
1. Remedy
3. Time Stand Still
4. East Side Story
5. The Color of Murder
6. Black Circle - A Carol Reed Mystery
7. Blue Madonna - A Carol Reed Story

This is one CE game I will definitely purchase. Usually regret buying Standard Edition when I find an excellent game as this one.
Harry Houdini was remarkable and his name immediately sparks interest. Storyline is mysterious and draws your interest. Amazing artwork! Puzzles and HO's fairly challenging without being frustrating.
Pleased to add to my ever-growing BFG game inventory.

The only bad thing about this game are the undeserved negative reviews. This is one of those "diamonds in the rough" with the rough being inaccurate game descriptions.
I say that with a lot of love for BFG and BFG Members as I rely on your reviews and recommendations.
Totally agree with nicedoggie and wondered if this is the same game based on reviews. Only gamers who skip everywhere they can, might end up with a short game here.
And still don't see how that is possible based on the numerous HO scenes that increase in complexity.
The awesome graphics and artwork deserve closer attention and are downright mesmerizing.
If gamers make short work of this game, they are missing the bigger picture and I suspect may have been expecting more gore than this "horror-themed" game offered. Developers artfully presented those gruesome scenes and so I did not turn off the game, but rather, was intrigued to continue. On the same hand, did not rush forward in fear of what was around the next corner. lol
Story and HO scenes develop from easy-going, then increases in complexity and intensity. HO scenes straight forward and not interactive, thank goodness! No long-distance running throughout. Journal keeps you informed without being over-helpful and not so much reading.
A bit of a maverick myself who speaks the truth, I believe most gamers prefer this type of playtime--not too long, not too short; very interesting plot, great artwork and makes you want to come back for more!
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Found this little gem on POPCAP Games Weekend Sale and purchased immediately after thirty playtime minutes. Perfect, really for gamers who are not enthralled with hidden object, adventure, brick breaking games or word games. Not everyone has patience for these game types.
Few and far between, games on BFG such as Venice Deluxe, Peggle Deluxe, Unwell Mel, Fairway Solitaire I and II are perfect games for those gamers who really just want to relax, play and "zone" out without a lot of brain cell activity.
An excellent game to have on hand for entertaining visitors such as family and friends with younger children as this is a game for all age groups.
Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
