Worthy of high marks, this 3rd in the Series of Otherworld Games hits the gaming bulls eye! Rich, lavish artwork with superior background music, cut scenes, voice overs, 60 Fay Dragon Collectibles, 23 Hidden Object Scenes, 24 Puzzle Games covers a lot of what present day gamers enjoy. Smooth navigation and a map are certainly a plus. Although the hardcore level wasn't very difficult, that aspect really didn't take away from the enjoyable game play.
Not to mention that unusual creatures abound as Boom Zap lets loose their imaginations and brings we gamers along for a fantastic ride into their most brilliant gaming minds.
Initially was not too keen on story line involving abducted small children. Thinking Developers could have selected some other ideas, however, since I purchased the game a while ago and recently had a chance to play, decided to leave a more positive review.
Game was fast moving which I prefer, also creative and held my interest. Gameplay for me was about 6 hours, however, I take my time, enjoy the artwork and listen/read every conversation. Hidden objects were on the smaller side.
Mini-puzzles and cut-scenes were very well done as was the artwork and graphics. What was obvious to this gamer is that a lot of work and talent went into the game--thus making it "The Perfect Show" indeed. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I recommend this game!

Sable Maze: Norwich Caves Collector's Edition
Your students have gone missing during an expedition under the university. Can you track them down before the water rises?
I don't understand veteran gamers' reviews. Not deserving of 4 or 5 stars in my humble opinion--comparatively speaking.
The 1st Sable Maze had more depth and was geared toward the younger or beginner gaming audience. This 2nd Sable Maze is, again, very well done for beginners or for those who wish to have relaxing gameplay with little to no challenge.
At a loss here. Appears, to me, that we are merely paying for and playing interactive cartoons--what I refer to in my reviews as smoke, dust and mirrors.
Although this game is a refreshing diversion from the usual dark and gloomy games of late, the attempt for humor fell short and was a bit on the corny side. That is really the worse I can say about the game, other than being too easy.
Lost interest quickly as I prefer gameplay with more challenge or, at least, more interesting and creative puzzles/games.
Not to say this game is all that different from so many games nowadays. Seems to be an overall lack of skill progression by neglecting to offer games with increasingly difficult challenges that will improve and hone gamers' skills. Instead, we gamers are being put to sleep with child-like games rather than being read children's story books.
Enough already. Give us what you got BFG and don't hold back! We gamers can handle more challenge! ^_^
Wow! Older adventure game had me from opening scene and played nonstop. Really wasn't expecting to be scared out of my wits. Bravo! Thought was just another mystery.
As Delaware St. John, you are having nightmares that has finally led you to invetigate Midnight Manor--in the middle of the night.
A good old-fasioned point and click adventure game. There are no hidden objects and gamer is not busy, busy with needing a map, howver, gamer does need to know the simplistic manor layout.
Had no idea Delaware St. John was this exciting. Quality voice overs combined with skilled writing and artwork gives the game an authentic, mysterious and spooky "just can't stop playing" feel.
Even better, there's more! Onto the next Delaware St. John games Volume 2--The Town with No Name and Volume 3--The Seacliff Tragedy. Thank you BFG! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
We are battling the witch. She is a hard one to defeat as she is very powerful. Her magic cannot be denied and has endured over the years. I must say her looks have improved, however.
Who doesn't love the EOP engaging music during gameplay! Certainly not a game that could be criticized for being too easy or too short. The artwork is busy, busy with multiple tasks going on at the same time.
Boredom is simply not an option in any of the five series which do not have to be played in order. Recommend playing all five. They are a must-have for we gamers who constantly strive for quality gaming.
In reality, the artists, developers and everyone who has worked on the Echoes Of the Past series possess the true MAGIC.
Pevious Sequels of Echoes of the Past: in order of release: Royal House of Stone The Castle of Shadows Citadels of Time The Revenge of the Witch
Thank you Ivan and Cateia team. Very much enjoyed visiting The Dragon Mountain and other locations throughout game. Graphics, art work are awesome as wel as the muscial score. Was an overall very pleasant playing experience.
The ability to customize settings is briliant and gives many different types of gamers an opportunity to play. I prefer Adventure Mode and encourage players that normally play hidden objects to replay on Adventure Mode. It is a very playable game on all settings.
A very fun game. Who doesn't love dragons and other creatures of lore and get to interact with them? Hope to see many more! Thanks to BFG for an equally awesome gaming Site! :)) Enjoy! - Mama Mia-
This is a fun game, a mystery, detective game, who-dunnit-type game. While writing reviews, please remember that some of us read the reviews PRIOR to playing the game and would like to find out for ourselves any game surprises or endings.
A HOPA-- hidden object, part adventure which I find humor in the fact that hog lovers don't especially like to have to hunt down the hidden objects which is the whole basis of hidden object scenes--emphasis on the word "hidden". Anyway, gamers can fly through these as the objects are large and in plain view so as to not to annoy getting on with the real gameplay and that is finding out what exactly is going on in Serpent Creek by following the clues so cleverly created and left by Tap It Games.
Was an immediate purchase for this gamer especially as a standard version! I actually gave the 5th star for review(s) with too much information! Thank you BFG! Thank you Devs! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Just because my preference are large file, long and complicated games, does not mean I cannot become totally absorbed in a child-like fantasy--which this is and which I loved playing from the onset.
Collecting steam bugs, earning achievements, creative puzzles all make this colorful journey even more special.
German is my favorite language and the game characters have one thing many Developers seem to miss--personality! They come alive in the game.
There is evil lurking in the town of Hockwald and we all know what we have to do! Enjoy! - Mama Mia -
Usually purchase CE version of games I like and was not particulary impressed with the demo. However, after getting into the game and playing a short while longer, wish I had!
Lengthy with an excellent storyline that unfolded. The time era was well presented and realistic. Harry Houdini is the main focus and brought a deep sense of mystery which I find very appealing and sets this game apart from so many other HOPA games...Lots of objects to locate and fit into place with a good amount of area to cover. Because the story was so interesting and the different scenes superbly drawn, I didn't get lost, turned around or frustrated.
Hidden object scenes were time period appropriate. Artwork and computer graphics were quite memorable! Obviously, a lot of work went into developing. Prefer more difficult puzzles, however, enjoyed overall gaming experience. Thanks to Developers and BFG for an excellent game! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Where there is good and beauty, there is also the darker side. I could sit for the entire demo hour mesmerized by the opening scene--travelling along water rapids.
Being a veteran gamer, I don't want to compare this to other games, however, my best advice is to recommend to a much younger age group than myself and for those young-at-heart who wish to play a light-hearted and beautifully drawn game!
The graphics are breath taking and so much to take in that I can't see how anyone wouldn't enjoy this game and admire how much work was dedicated in it's making. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
