Enjoyed all the Clutter games so check out I and II as well. Fast moving fun and challenge with a variety of puzzles picking out matching items in a kaleidoscope of objects crammed together. Entertaining and addictive, the fun never stops! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I'm still here, BFG reviewing this lovely game for those who are beginners or just want a good, relaxing game.
The sound was awesome as well as the artwork. Creative puzzles and hidden objects were very easy which is nice if you don't want to boggle the brain. However, my brain hasn't been boggled too much of late. Have to really search for something creative and with a compelling plot. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
If you like to keep busy, this is the game for you. Reminds me of the Puppet Show games. Artwork is very detailed and amazing.
Wallpapers are interesting in black/white. No morphing objects but you collect coins/gems to purchase items in your shop. You also search for exotic creatures for your zoo--like the minotaur. Gamer can choose to work the hidden object scenes or switch to a puzzle.
Game can be customized to fit your level which I would like to see in every game. Puzzles - 22; HOS - 26. There's puzzles, hidden objects, searching for other times mentioned above in every scene so the game will keep you busy with lots of variety. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Good length, compelling story line that draws gamer to investigate further. Puzzles and Hidden Objects creative and fun. More great games like this and less of the razzle dazzle for me, please!
Wouldn't mind BFG throwing in more large files / true adventures. Great deal on this game today as a DD and also to use a game credit. However, I would always recommend the Collector's Edition for the really great games like this! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I don't compare games, however, I review on the game itself based on story line, interesting puzzles, hidden object time and story appropriate items.
Gamers aren't going to race through this game, yet, the story is intriguing as your friend Amy went off skiing alone and now she needs help. Two veteran skiers should know better than to allow the other to ski alone! It is what it is and you can't find anyone in the ski patrol and, of course, the task at hand is not an easy one.
Purchased on a DD and on a Monday, so very pleased with this particular game. I was just crying the blues earlier about not having something different. Waa-lah! Mountain Trap: The Manor of Memories is now added to my BFG collection. Thank you Devs for the time and trouble of creating an intriguing game with different puzzles. Was just going through the control panel and almost got all the numbers when my demo trial ended. Ah! Guess I'll have to start over. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Shadow Shelter is a dark and foreboding game that is unique from the many cookie cutter games we BFG members are mercilessly bombarded.
Weary of reading rave reviews on games that are nothing more than interactive cartoons with flashing colored lights. Hate one of these stupid cookie cutter games once in awhile and you'll have my attention. We BFG gamers get very few true Adventure Games--with no Hidden Objects-- to select from in a year due to numerous bad reviews from gamers who only play Hidden Object games--so don't review them. I am sure there are many of us gamers who are hanging in here at BFG--just barely.
Shadow Shelter will probably get it's unfair share of low marks because it's DIFFERENT, however, it does have a smack down good story, the journal and inventory bar are at the top of your screen--as well as you can customize your playing options.
Dark and gloomy, intriguing and foreboding. Are you part of the Order of the Thistle? Only these can battle the darkness which was defeated long ago and that a few have managed to survive while living among humans! Choose your side, Gamer and I will meet you on the battlefield. An immediate buy for Mama Mia! Enjoy!
Now, this is a good game with a good story line and the music is exceptionally entertaining. When a gamer starts to play, as I did, expecting the same old same old and finds a game with a creative twist, now that is something to grade accordingly--FIVE STARS!
What the game may lack in morphing objects or achievements, it, by far, makes up with quality story telling and visits to unexpected far-away and exotic lands.
Even better, this is a standard game that can be purchased immediately without waiting until the Collectors'' Edition sells first. Put your memory cap on because you will have to remember where you were and then have to return, however, an interactive Map will help gamers on their way.
Just a lot of fun, fun, fun figuring out what is going to happen to our gal in the story as her eyes slowly open to the truth about her new-found, handsome beau. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I was getting married and my bride vanished and I woke up with a ticket in my hand and I saw her at the train station and I got on the train and she is there and she is dead and cannot pass to the other side because she was killed and the monsters have to be brought to justice and there are other people on the train and they can't have peace because they were victims to the same monsters and I must save the day and let all the other souls go in peace but I am going to get my dead wife back! Then some guy Charon is thrown in there who--I guess--is the grim reaper--who escorted folks to their death--but now likes to ride a train to do it.
All that in the first few scenes. A good story line is played out over a period of time not told to me in the 1st sixty seconds. This was a jig-saw puzzle of ideas and other stories pieced together in this one game. I really tried to like Olivia and I know Olivia tried to act but she just did not sound convincing.
What exactly are these devs doing on their coffee breaks?Could have been a very good game. Definitely for beginners or if BFG makes for a free game. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
You came to the town of Brownville, Louisiana hoping to find a new job. But you weren't expecting to stumble upon a strange adventure in a world filled with beauty and danger!
Another game about collecting human souls--for whatever reason-- theme appears popular, however, developers have a fresh approach involving a dangerous game of cards.
Looking for work, you arrive at a town where your friend lives; that looks promising, however, looks are deceiving.
Maybe for newer BFG players and gamers who prefer the eye candy, this will not disappoint as artwork is superb with creative, fantasy characters.
Game deserved a noteworthy review as I enjoyed the demo.
Fantastic aftermath spin from "The Great Gatsby," one of my favorites--a Roaring Twenties story, redone in game form with interesting twists and turns.
Although game is a bit slower than some of our latest razzle dazzle CE collections, I was impressed with the interesting story line and gameplay extras--Diary that shows Materials and Objects; a Token which reveals the splendor of times past and car keys for location travel. Awesome! Also some clever mini-games and time-appropriate hidden object scenes spice up gameplay.
All in all, a well done spinoff to the late, great American Author F. Scott Fitzgerald's Classic tale, "The Great Gatsby". A definite buy for this BFG game lover! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
