Witch Hunter, why are visiting Grimville? We residents do not look kindly to your visit for we understand that evil abounds where ever you travel.
Seen from the (glowing) eyes of the witch hunter, he travels to Grimville and can go no further because someone has stolen his wallet. The Witch Hunter must literally work his way through town and toward resolving the dark forces upon Grimville. The residents don't seem to be very interested in helping--even for their own safety, and he must earn his own way for their sake. Enroute, he does make humorous comments that he should be reimbursed for his menial labors.
Although a powerful "Witch Hunter Being" he is not the BMOC--big man on campus in Grimville and his stature is of little worth and meaning.
Very, very well done in it's artwork, story line, humor and the fact that the gamer makes decisions which bring about certain results.
Gamers can't help but fall in love with this celestial being. He was sent by a higher authority to root out Grimville's Evil and must do what must be done--without much notoriety.
Discouraged by the newer games, I recently travelled back in time into my own BFG game list and selected this older game I had not yet played. Definitely recommend to try this TM game especially if you are also discouraged by the not-so-challenging games of late.
Taken aback, I was accustomed to playing the newer games and had to adjust.
You are an orphan and never knew your parents. Living a modest, working class lifestyle, you receive a communication that you have recently inherited a once magnificent mansion that is now in rundown condition. "That looks like real crystal".
Gamer is immediately transported to the Time Mysteries world and drawn back again and again until completion.
Is it possible that your lineage is nothing that you could have ever imagined? Find out, gamers and do a little time travel yourself by breaking away from the current glitzy games to enjoy a nuts and bolts, very well done Time Mysteries game!
There is some jumping back and forth, however, the puzzles and hidden object scenes are do-able and keep the gamer's interest. Hang in there and you won't be disappointed!
The following sequel Time Mysteries: The Final Enigma is exciting as well because you get to travel back to this game and play some of the same scenes. Very well done! Thank you Devs and thank you, BFG!
BTW, the 1st Time Mysteries: Inheritance, did not hold my interest. Maybe, some day, if BFG keeps punching out these cookie cutter games, I will give Inheritance another whirl. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
This Standard Edition game is an unexpected awesome BFG treat. Guys, don't let the demo discourage you from purchasing this game--especially the puzzle in which you must put together a fashion wardrobe. That's about it for the girly stuff. ^_^
Reminiscent of --and even better In many ways than--Dark Parables The Red Riding Hood Sisters. The plot actually develops into an interesting story line. The puzzles and HO scenes are creative with just enough challenge. There is a good mixture with not too many hidden objects that would delay gamer's progress.
Looking forward to a sequel and this is one of the very few games that I would recommend as a good replay game plus is a "friendly" game--no shocking gore--a good game after all. I didn't want it to end.
Dazed and confused, I was looking in every BFG crack and crevice for a GOOD, CHALLENGING, CREATIVE, DIFFERENT, UNIQUE GAME! Thanks to Reviewer, FORTUNATUS, I found this interesting little beauty as one of his/her Current Favorites. Thank you! Current Favorites are always helpful in finding other BFG games! Yay!
Is it possible to over-review a game? Indeed. Let's keep it simple. There are some language errors, but give it a break! I've seen lots of errors from the big-name developers and there should be ZERO!
If you like the previous Dark Tales as I have, this Detective Dupin sequel is basically more of the same with nothing new. Yes, there's lots of bells and whistles in the CE. Nothing really new to hold this gamer's interest. A pass for me. Can't wait to read the rave reviews! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
I don't recommend this game.

Dark Dimensions: Somber Song Collector's Edition
Townspeople flee as the black smoke covers their town. Can you close the dark dimension, before it’s too late?
I am more disappointed in the usual BFG reviewers who constantly love every game and hand out five stars. Now, I skip over their reviews where I once read and respected them. Waste of my time and money!
The Dark Dimensions game series is typically awesome, however, this game is boring for sure. The artwork and graphics are fantastic but I am weary of paying for interactive cartoons with little else to satisfy the gamer in me. Will be selecting my games more carefully through BFG as a result and certainly skipping over the "routine" rave reviewers. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
You are reporter Mary Bingham and you get to tear up the entire town looking for answers with lots of cool dialogue and sound effects. A mini-vacation for gamers between the seemingly endless cutesy and gory games!
I just wish reviewers would STOP giving away surprises that gamers would like to discover on their own during gameplay! Should put a **SPOILER ALERT** alert on those types of reviews or discontinue giving away details! So disappointing!
Definitely will have a good laugh. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
It appears that most games have evolved as interactive cartoons rather than games which challenge us while being interesting and/or suspenseful. Not so on any level with this game and I have the preceding EM game but did not make this purchase.
I cannot understand how a game this boring gets high marks. Is every single game worthy of high marks? No, however, seems like the same reviews are for every game and it seems that every game is awesome. Reviews are becoming as cookie cutter as the games.
On the other hand, I apologize to Developers who went through all that work only to produce a game of such immeasurable boredom that it's insulting to true gamers.
However, if games get glowing review marks, then Devs may truly believe their game is a good one and continue to produce poorer and poorer quality games--these razzle dazzle cartoons-- and we have plenty of those rolling in our way!
Thank you to Grannie_Gruff for an honest review. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
The fabled land of Agartha awaits your discovery in Esoterica: Hollow Earth! Experience a sci-fi adventure that will take you to the depths of the Earth.
After going through no less than 15 (razzle dazzle 'em) CE games, I settled on just 2 CE and 2 Standard--this little gem and one other which I added as a Current Favorite.
Mama Mia is getting tired of all the glitz. Give me the good old games! How about, just a good game?
Has an interesting story line. Yes, the game is a little dated, but, so am I. Not interested in the bevy of extra colorful games where I have to hunt for objects to pick up. Oh, goody! I found the thousandth pair of scissors! ^_^
Help find this young lady's Grandfather! He is in grave danger and needs our help! A gem to be enjoyed by all age group gamers if you want to relax and not worry about finding 10 objects in 10 seconds or collecting whatever along the way. Just have fun and play the game! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Elephant Developers have a consistent record of excellence especially with the Mystery Trackers sequels which has, in my humble opinion, somehow been overlooked as great HOPA games having suffered in the shadow of MCF which, has not been consistent.
Music is unsurpassed with outstanding detailed graphics. The smallest of details do not go unnoticed right down to Elf's tiny paw prints in the snow!
Ten stars for reliable Developers and enjoyable gameplay.
Thank you Elephant Game Developers and BFG for all your MT sequels from The Void 2010 to MT: Raincliff's Phantoms 2014. You have always been on the cutting edge of gaming and much appreciated. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
