This is a game that is hard to stop once you start playing. One thing leads to another, and it's all interesting. So you keep on playing and next thing you know two or three hours have gone by. You're trying to save the life of a king from the past. He was poisoned, and the ghost of his lady comes to you to see if you can reverse what happened. So you visit the past, with the help of all kinds of things like elixirs, scrolls that help you, and supplies that you find, either in HO scenes or just lying around. At times you just naturally know what to do and one thing leads to another. At other times it's difficult to know what's next. There is a hint button that helps to lead you in the right direction. You meet people associated with the king, and they give you tasks or help you with hints or objects. There are several mini-games to play, with a skip button if you can't figure them out. The only reason I didn't give this game 5 stars is that there were a few too many times when I didn't realize I needed an object that was just lying around. Some of them were very well hidden. I just didn't know what to do, even after wandering around and clicking on things. The hint button did help, and several times I wouldn't have found the objects on my own. Other than this complaint though, the rest of the game was very high quality and very well done. Loved the ending. Definitely recommended!
The legendary hero Hercules and his wife Megara are back, ready to embark on their next adventure! Restore the world's beauty and save Mother Nature from destruction!
This was the first 12 Labours of Hercules game that I've played, and right now I can't see trying any more of them. It was very repetitive, doing the same types of things over and over. It's also a long game. I played the game in relaxed mode because I don't enjoy having to hurry to beat the clock. For those who like timed games, that might make this one a little more interesting. I thought the art work was good and there was a nice visual variety between the different scenes. But definitely not much variety in goals or actions you have to perform.
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. It is well designed so that it's fairly easy to decide what to do next. If you can't, you can either use the hint button or check the map, which shows things that need to be done. The artwork is a wonderful part of the game. There are many different scenes where you need to find things you need to complete tasks. In the many HO scenes in the game the objects are fairly hidden most of the time, with only a very few needing a hint. The theme of the game involves magic, but it's not a very dark game. You are trying to help your friend, a young girl who is under some kind of spell, and she is linked to a woman from another time who is also under a spell. In order to help them you must find and use lots of objects so you can move ahead to the different areas. Each area has three or four scenes, and when you have solved enough problems or mysteries there, a window opens to another area and time. There are six areas all together. None of the areas can be totally completed the first time around. There are enough problems remaining in each area to require you to move backwards at times. Using the map seems to work best for traveling backwards, unless you really like backtracking. As I said, I loved this game. It was fun to play, not too dark or frustrating, beautiful to look at, and very well designed. I'd love to play another game by this developer!
I have had this game for several years and have played it many times. It's a Match 3 game, but has many other resources and types of play also, which keeps it interesting. There are 100 levels to the game, and difficulty increases as you get to the higher levels. All of the extras, from barriers put into the playing area, artistic designs, interesting but skip-able mini-games, helpful resources you can earn by completing tasks, exploding pieces that help clear the area, higher levels you can earn, and a nasty little creature that drops down and interferes with your game - all of these help to make the game more fun and challenging. The reason I like this game more than the others in the series is that you can turn off the timing option and just relax and play for fun. This game is very well done and enjoyable to play. I highly recommend it for those of you who enjoy Match 3 games, and even for those who would like to try one. I think you'll like it!
This is another good addition to the Big City Adventure series. It's a great way to highlight some wonderful cities around the world and have fun looking for hidden objects at the same time. There are 60 levels, which makes the game nice and long. After finding the objects in each level, there is a variety of mini-games to solve, as well as many achievements such as finding all the hidden guitars. When you first start playing the game, finding the objects and solving the mini-games is fairly simple, but as you play it becomes more challenging. Most are within your grasp, however. If not, there are a few Skip coins you can spend. There are also coins to help you find hidden objects that elude you. This last detail is one of the reasons that I gave this game 4 stars rather than 5. Some of the hidden objects were beyond anyone to locate. There is just a little bit of unfairness in this. One other reason is that each of the scenes is repeated frequently, and it gets a little tiring after a while if you're playing for a long time. Other than that, though, this is a great game and I highly recommend it to those who love finding hidden objects!
This is what I would call a "rich" game. Lots and lots of things to do, over-the-top art work, very imaginative games and HO scenes. There is a great hint button if you can't decide what to do next. Playing the part of a detective was interesting, looking for clues, questioning suspects, then eliminating some. There is quite a bit of back-and-forth with entering a room, finding an object, then having to go back somewhere else to use it. In fact, that is the main reason I gave the game a 4 rating instead of 5. I played the game all at once, and going back and forth so much became just a little tedious. Other than that though, this was a great game and I highly recommend it!
This game is interesting at first, learning the story and trying out Brunhilda’s powers. She is helped out by Demon, a side character that cracks jokes, makes smart remarks, gives suggestions, and helps to find hidden objects. There are 10 chapters in the game, and by the third chapter, when you see that the same kinds of actions are being asked of you over and over again, it starts getting a little old, and it’s just like that for the whole rest of the 10 chapters. Each chapter has several scenes, and you often are going back and forth to the different scenes to find things that you need. One or more of the characters you find in each chapter always has a problem and needs for you to find objects to solve the problem. Most of the hidden objects are very difficult to find, being very small or disguised in some other way. There is no penalty for clicking, so I spent quite a bit of time hunting for objects that way. Demon takes a while to recharge after you use him to locate objects, so that’s a slow way to find objects. I didn’t hate the game, and the story itself is kind of interesting, so if you can tolerate searching for hidden objects that are very difficult to find, go ahead and try the game. It's with this caution that I recommend this game.
I find this game confusing. Most of the hidden objects are too difficult to find. I click on a spot that looks like something might be hidden there, and sure enough something is, but I had no idea what it was. There are many other games besides hidden objects, and you have to play them in order to move along (or else play dominoes). I thought the backgrounds for the hidden object scenes were much too bright and glaring, making it even more difficult to find anything. I don't recommend this game.
This was an amazingly well-designed, very interesting game. Angelica Weaver has the task of finding a serial killer who is using another serial killer's history to decide on who to kill. Angelica can go back into the past to study the earlier killer and his victims in order to solve the crime. The tasks in the game are cleverly designed, and this aspect stays interesting all through the lengthy game. There are hints available if needed, and more hints are earned by finding dream catchers in HO scenes. You can also hunt for badges in order to be able to find all the objects in the HO scenes at the end of the game. Two things spoiled the game for me a little bit. One, there was no map, and sometimes you had to go back and forth to find things. It was easy to get lost or become confused. One other thing was the length of some of the tasks. One example was near the end of the game, when you had to find the names of twenty people who had been killed. These names were not all nearby, you really had to travel around and look for them. I was thinking during the game, couldn't it have been 15 people? But that was just my reaction. Other than these two things, there is nothing else to criticize about this game. It was absorbing to play, there were clever things to do or find, and it was filled with beautiful art work. Several other reviewers have mentioned that they bought the CE and there was an extra chapter to play. That kind of made me wish I had bought the CE. I definitely recommend this game!
This game has just about everything you would want in a game. Many others have described all the details of what is included in the game, the extras, the long length of the game, the quality of the artwork and game construction. I loved the fact that the game had a science-fiction type of plot, but no eerie ghosts, creepy witches, or lurking monsters. It is very entertaining to play this game, and you have lots of help if you run into a place where you're stumped. I highly recommend this game to those who enjoy figuring things out - you'll definitely get your money's worth here!
