The mother's voice is anything but believable. She's lost her son and goes about looking for him in a ho-hum way. I thought the son's voice was ten times better. Very good for a child. The game was okay, but not really anything new or exciting. Music was pretty good, not enough puzzles, too many HOS's, graphics average. It did have a nice length, which I appreciated. Not a terrible game at all, but I've played much better.

This game was okay but the potion making became a little monotonous for me. I ended up skipping some of the steps to hurry the potions along. Graphics very nice, music okay, puzzles adequate, but the game just didn't grab me. It's a long one, and I wasn't sorry when it was over. I'm recommending it for others who maybe don't want as much of a challenge as I like.

I like puzzles much better than HOS's. This game is chock full of them and I'll admit I skipped three. (I pride myself on never skipping puzzles but some of these would have taken me more than an hour to solve.) If YOU like puzzles, some quite challenging, you'll like this game. Won't even comment on the storyline because I pay no attention to that. It's not why I play these games. I like the challenge. A good game for me. Kept me playing for several hours. Music was good, graphics good, and no HOS's.
I enjoyed this one. It had some different, fun puzzles and the HOS's had some difficult items to find, which I prefer. If a game is too easy I tend not to enjoy it. I play in hardcore mode and very rarely use the hint button, walk through or strategy guide because that takes away from the challenge. Also, I figure it's good for the ol' brain to have to figure things out for myself. On top of that, it makes the game last much longer when I have to do my own detective work. This game had a nice length, good music, well-done voiceovers, and about the right amount of challenge. The animals were especially cute, if you like that kind of thing. You'll get your money's worth out of this one.

This was a long game that kept me entertained. The voiceovers were some of the best I've heard, especially Emmy's. I could have done without the bear helper. He was rather annoying after while. Graphics weren't the best, especially compared to some of the newer games. The music was good, lots of puzzles (some challenging), and lots of HOS's (not a challenge). Really nothing new here but I felt I got my money's worth because of the length of play in the SE. This is probably a better game for beginners or intermediates. Not quite challenging enough (as a whole) for me.

This is a great game, with different types of puzzles and NO HOS's. The little "eye" creatures you collect really creeped me out, but I have to admit they added a lot to the game. (I love creepiness in games.) It was just the right length, graphics were great, music fit the game very well, and the voiceovers were adequate. (I always find it kind of amusing that these characters who are on the verge of death, or they've lost a child, seem quite calm. I would be hysterical in those situations. Of course it's just a game, but a little more hysteria in their voices would be more realistic.) Really liked this one and am anxiously awaiting the sequel. Please hurry, Playrix!

This game was ok. I've set my standards very high, so I no longer give 5 star ratings unless it's a game that I hate to see end and is great all the way through. Some games start out great and then fizzle. Others start out so-so and get better as you play. This game started out just ok and ended the same. I was ready for it to end. I did have fun on parts of it. Graphics were good, music was sometimes annoying but I left it on, puzzles were mostly good and some were a challenge. HOS's were very easy. I see that many people really got into this game, but I'm looking for something a little better for my next purchase. I play on hardcore and want a real challenge with no help. This game was a little too helpful for me.

Wow, am I having fun! I'm only half-way through this CE but I had to stop to type a review. First off, I have never turned the music UP during a game. I am during this one. My hat is off to the developers on this! In fact, the music is so good it will make me want to play the game again. It's kind of a new age tribal sound on certain scenes. But it changes often as you go from scene to scene. I want to know who did the music, for sure, so I'll be checking the credits. I would absolutely buy this soundtrack on CD. I suggested a few months ago that developers should give new composers a chance to showcase their music via online games. Whether they listened to me or not, I'm experiencing much better music, and I haven't even used headphones yet. I plan on doing that soon. Besides the great music, this game is so much fun! Puzzles go from easy to quite difficult and there are some new ones. It's not loaded with HOS, which is great for me. I'm a puzzle person. I'm really loving this developer. I don't normally buy CE's, but I will from this company.

I was surprised at the short length of this game. I only purchased the SE but it was still shorter than many other SE's I've played recently. It also wasn't very challenging. This is a good game for a beginner or someone who doesn't want to have to concentrate too hard but just wants to enjoy the ride. Not a bad game at all. But I wish it had been longer and more of a challenge.
I recommend this game!

I can't really put my finger on what I didn't like about this one. It started out fine, but I quickly became bored with it. Judging by all the great reviews, I'm definitely in the minority on this. I probably shouldn't have played it right after Fate's Carnival. Nothing compares to that one, in my opinion. You may like this one just fine.
