I was disappointed in this game. The graphics as usually were Great, the music is beautiful, but the story was meh, and the game play was kind of too easy. I can't find any major fault with the game other then it's short and it just ends it seems out of the blue. Those who purchased the CE get to finish up the story, but if you buy the SE edition, you will go away feeling very disappointed, that should not be! Games need to finish at the end of the main game than they can add whatever bonus they so choose. The game uses the same old gimmicks some which I don't care for because of movement that gives me a headache and some I just find boring now that they've been used so many times by so many game developers. I think my disappointment comes from loving Nevertales the Beauty within that I had such high hopes for this game and they just were not fulfilled! Also like I said above this game does not wrap up in the SE edition you must buy the CE edition to actually finish the game! It's not a bad game it's just not a 5 star game and I don't understand how anyone can give this game 5 stars. If Nevertales the Beauty within or Beyond light Advent were 5 Star games, which they were, than this one can not rate 5 stars because it does not come close to how fabulous Beauty within or Beyond Light Advent were!! I'm sure many people were overjoyed with the game but if they are being honest they would admit this game fell short in comparison to the games mentioned above as well as many other 5 star games. I would recommend the game of course, but don't pay full price wait for a really good sale!! I would suggest you purchase the CE edition so you can wrap the game up nicely.
When a famous shapeshifting alchemist is charged with looking into the murder of the king's most trusted agent and friend, the last thing she expects to discover is an intricate network of shadowy criminals, intent on bringing chaos to the land.
If you are looking for a challenge with a whimsical edge, look no further than Queen's Quest 2: Stories of Forgotten Past! From puzzles to potions this game has everything you need to immerse yourself into a fantastic world of fantasy & adventure. I personally love to find things and mix up potions, I also enjoyed being turned into a bird,a slug lol, a hamster etc.
My favorite part are the hidden object scenes and this game did not disappoint. There are a variation of interactive Hops, Frogs, silhouettes, puzzle pieces, match and find various objects. If you don't like the HOPs, you can switch to a match 2 game. The mini games were fun and relatively easy to moderate in difficulty, nothing we haven't seen before but still fun.
This is the first game in a long while that I just did not want to stop playing and I never once found myself bored or confused. Great fun, with gorgeous graphics and nice music.

I've been so looking forward to this game, Mad Head is my top favorite game designer bar none!! That being said, sadly I can not give this game 5 stars. It's average at best. It starts out great during the demo but as soon as the demo ends and you purchase and get back to playing you are no longer in the asylum you're outside of the asylum doing the same mundane tasks you do in every other game. Nothing unique, nothing exceptional to look at, nothing creative to do, no one to interact with, I just got bored!! Things pick up a bit towards the end when you are back in the asylum but not by much. I hate the stupid puzzle where you have to trace and outline to fight the demon or shadows, it's childish and, it's also hard for older folks to do this outline due to arthritis, shaky hands or muscle pain and stiffness even if that's not the case it's still very juvenile, to me. I am enjoying the bonus game, which is a prequel of sorts. You go back in time to when the asylum was actual a gorgeous home. It's there you will find out how these shadow creatures and the lantern game to be. All and all the game was mostly entertaining and fun, if not a little too predictable and easy. It's just not up to the high standards usually set forth by Mad Head. They did Nevertales, Beyond Light Advent and The Princess of Ice games for goodness sakes! Those were all 5+ star games in my opinion so I guess I'm just a little let down because this game wasn't of that caliber. I still recommend the game!

I found this little gem yesterday morning, and decided to give it a try, boy am I glad I did it was fantastic! Join Sam, a boy of thirteen years old, and find out who poisoned your friend Princess Aurora! Let's embark on an amazing adventure in the Kingdom of Aurelia. Just as this incredible world entered into an epoch of the Renaissance and technological development, a plot directed against the royal family is discovered. It's up to you to find the villain who poisoned the princess so you can rescue her. Use advanced technologies to help you on your quest, including a helpful little robot named Tim and a unique device which can read the thoughts of any character!
It's sort of steampunk meets the Renaissance meets the tech. era. The scenes are very clear and enjoyable to look at. You get to tinker and build things which I love, I just wish they made it a tad more difficult. The game flows nicely you keep moving forward and you don't carry too many items in your inventory for very long, a definite bonus! The games and Hogs are fun. This game is made by the same team that brought us the ever fantastic and funny ~Witch's Pranks: Frog's Fortune!~
I think this game is as good if not better than 95% of the recent games I've tried out by the big box game designers. Sometimes less is more and that is the case with this game! I find myself rushing to finish my work so I can get back to playing this game and I can't really remember the last time that happened to me. I highly suggest you at least give this game a try, I think you will enjoy it!
After years of speculation, the McCordan Library has finally been found! Rumor has it that this labyrinthine library was built to house five legendary tomes, but a series of puzzles and traps guards them. You’ve been called in to overcome these tricky obstacles and track down the tomes, but you quickly realize why he hid them in the first place... The power they contain could destroy the entire world if they fall into the wrong hands! Navigate the treacherous maze as books come alive around you in this exciting hidden-object puzzle adventure game!
As a true bibliophile I was in my glory surrounded by books and bookshelves filled with books, having great literature come to life while doing puzzles and hidden object scenes was glorious! I Loved it! I found the scenes and graphics delicious!
The music and voice overs were great and most of the puzzles were right up my alley, easy to moderate in difficulty. The HOS scenes were fun and very interactive. The flow of the game was wonderful, you kept moving forward and you used up most of your inventory relatively quickly, there was some back and forth but not a whole lot. It was really just so fun and relaxing to play, the time seemed to fly by!
I can not wait to go purchase this game, I'm not even going to wait for the SE I must have it now!!
Lately I've not been very happy with Eipix games, they've been very boring and repetitive so I almost didn't try this game. I found myself having a lazy Sunday with nothing to do or play so I gave the game a try. I have to say I'm really really enjoying it. The games and other things you do are pretty unique. The basic mechanics, find this for that is still there but not near as much as in many of the other games. I've only played the trial of the game so I don't know if it's going to keep going like it has so far but I'm willing to purchase and see where it goes. I love having people in the game with me I just wish a.) They would have us talking and interacting more and b.) I wish they would have the people in the game actually doing something to help me. They did it in Beyond Light Advent so any game designer can do it!! If I'm the only one working it tends to tick me off even if it's only make believe! While this isn't as good as the two games they did with the Smithsonian it's still pretty darn good. ( Hidden Expedition: Smithsonian Castle still rates as one of my all time favorite games!!) The music was beautiful, the graphics of course are suburb as always, the ancient Chinese items and storyline is very interesting. Voice overs are perfect, but the old Chinese professor's voice is annoying! I say give it a try and see what you think. Since I own all the other games I'm going to buy this one too, there's another wonderful game out this week by Mad Head and with the buy one get one that also leads to a free game with my punch card I just can't pass up a great deal! Happy gaming all and hope you all have a great Labor day!
I'm so sorry I purchased this game, I honestly should have listened to my own gut. I thought the demo was ok nothing great yet all the reviews were praising this game as the second coming or something, so I decided against my better judgement to buy it. (Thank Goodness on sale) I absolutely can not get into it no matter how hard I try! I find it boring boring boring! The voice of the girl is so annoying I feel like punching my screen! I found the surroundings just plain ugly most of the time too. I'm not really picking up that big of a storyline either and most of the time nothing makes a lot of sense. I've used the hints so many times I finally decided to just delete the game 3/4 of the way through. Life's too short and there are far better games out there. Oh well live, learn and listen to your gut. Not everyone is going to like the same things so trust your own instincts. I wish I had! I don't like the game but I will recommend you demo it yourself and see how you feel about it. Maybe it's just me and you will adore it like so many others
