Far too much having to go back/forwards. Time filler? How big does a task book have to be? Do we need snow - 'falling' upwards - to show us where the collectables icons are? Don't play with sound on, so can't comment. Good visuals, though. Aimed at young audience? So simple, it's insulting. Yes it's Christmas, & light-hearted are great, but please give us adults some challenge. Same as 100's of other games. Nothing new. I'm back to playing my older games, which are better than new ones. May take a break from B.F., as games for last few months aren't up to the standard they were 2/3 yrs ago.
Part demo, only. I like the colour purple, but there's a ridiculous amount of it in this game. Followed closely by pink & yellow! The huge chunk at the bottom of the screen has all but disappeared. There is the large locket, the high task bar, the very tall hint button that fizzes upwards, collectables bar goes diagonally up screen. Whatever happened to the smaller, static hint buttons that didn't flash, move, shake etc? We all know where it is. Everything is just BIG! That & the colours ruin the game for me. More & more devs are doing the same. Why?
It's rare a really good match 3 appears. (Just my opinion.) I thought this would be one of the good ones. The tiles look as if they've spent too much time in the Egyptian sun, & have faded. It certainly didn't make think about Egypt, which, for the most part, is a bright, colourful place. The tiles are also boring. After just a few levels in the demo, the game became tedious, & a drag. The best thing about this game is that I didn't buy it! If the devs livened it up, & added colour, what a big difference that would make.
I didn't even finish the demo. In my opinion, if a game has as many puzzles/mini games as this game does, it should be in the puzzle category. It certainly shouldn't be in the hidden object section. There's so much dialogue it's ridiculous. I don't want to read a mini novel. I want to play hidden object games, that are listed as such. I don't want to play puzzle games - I have plenty of those - with the odd hidden object thrown in. Too many devs are jumping on the same band wagon nowadays. I don't buy as nearly as many games as I used to, which is a shame. For a hidden object game, surely there should be more H.O. scenes than puzzles.
I liked the demo, so went for the C.E. I assumed I would carry on enjoying the game, especially bringing other characters from different games into the mix. I couldn't have been more wrong! This is one of the worst games in the history of 'game-dom' I only played the demo, & around an hour of main game. Graphics were - to me - sub standard, & missing 'something.' I knew scenes would be on the dark side, but I didn't expect to have to stick my face to my pc screen, just to work out what was where, & where what went! Overloaded with mini-games. They're everywhere. Too many locks/amulets & the usual boring, stale 'in every game stuff.' H.O.S. were good. Another game that is definitely not C.E. worthy. Far too much dialogue for me. Game was just, well, terrible. Is this another dev. to cross off my list?
This had, for the most part, great reviews. I was looking forward to giving it a go. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The pointer was off kilter. I had to click around items, not on them, which was frustrating. Such a shame. Good colours, & clear graphics. I don't play with sound.
Part demo only. Positives: Erm...! Oh yes, I played less than 10mins. Negatives: Blurry. Huge tiles = less playing time. Dialogue overload (time filler?) Even worse, no option to skip it. To start the game, a huge arrow points to a huge 'PLAY.' I mean, really? Those annoyingly irritating words, when good match is made. 'GREAT' etc. (That's another few seconds of the game filled.) 'Assistant Maggie' really does need to go assist somewhere else! Not a game for adults. (In my opinion.)
The part of the demo I played didn't seemed ok, but I should've played it all! Instead I relied on past H.E.s, which were really good. I treat myself to the C.E. Big mistake! Huge! This offering should be called something else, because this is definitely not a Hidden Expedition game. The cards have gone. Lots of puzzles. Not enough H.O.s. Good graphics though. Is this another series going down the toilet? I certainly don't recommend this game as a H.E.
Demo only. I thought 8 repeats of the 1st game were more than enough. I was wrong. We now have the 9th! Surely, some small changes could have been made. Nothing drastic. Even putting in a different set of rubbish to collect would be a start. Different hidden objects, and/or change the lost & found items. Graphics are clear. I don't play with sound. It's maybe just me, but, Game was mind numbingly boring, as, I knew what was coming. The same as the other 9.
After years of hard work on their farm, Tom and Charlize have decided to vacation on a tropical island where new farming adventures are sure to pop up!
Part demo only. (Even that was too much!) I don't like games that are too difficult, but I do like a bit of a challenge. This was a waste of 10mins of my day! What's with the pop ups? Good grief there was so many, I couldn't have played on, even if I wanted to, because of the pop ups. Do games really need them at all? In my opinion, no, as they stop a game flowing, & being enjoyable. Annoying, frustrating. I'm so glad I didn't pay to play.
