I just love these developers.. every game they put out is fantastic.. a nice familiar format, great storyline in a different world without being weird, wonderful HOPs and puzzles, great voiceovers - and the animation of the protagonists is brilliant. What is not to like??
This is a terrific game... why all the bad reviews?? I think mostly because people have such high expectations for MCF - after all it only comes round once a year and should be of the highest level as they have all year to produce it. That said, I wish they could give in back to BFG who started it in the first place. Eipix were great but have become too prolific.. They even, horror of horrors, produced a MCF in Feb this year.... MCF is not a series to be out there every few months. Do people not know that scarcity is the spice of life??? One reviewer said there was only one super puzzle = but I have already come across two and have not finished. The HOPs are really good and the puzzles are different and I am enjoying them. Well done.
This is a very long game and has an excellent storyline. No demons which is fabulous, excellent puzzles and HOPS. No voiceovers, or hardly any, so we dont have to worry about them. I am thoroughly enjoying myself and I recommend you all to try it out.
This is OK... but I wonder if our feedback ever gets to the devs or if they read them?? Many of us, the clients after all, have said that we do not like demons and are getting very tired of runes... PLEASE listen to us. MadHead always has great voiceovers and great music. Also the HOPS are good too. Otherwise the demons have to go....
I love Joe's clutter puzzles but where is the plate one... where you have to match 3 or 4 plates from the outside to get rid of them all...??? I loved that one. However, many favs are back - including the best of all IMO - the sliders. Well done Joe
Why are nearly ALL games about supernatural stuff these days? I remember the first Sable Maze Sullivan River and it was great - the Norwich Caves also. If I recall correctly just a regular spooky story about normal people.. lost children etc but no monsters, bad dreams, amulets etc.. I am getting SO tired of the same plots. I thought the graphics were also bad. After 10 mins on the demo I was out and it was in the trash.
This Moai is much more difficult and there is really very little explanation as to how to work the spells etc.. Also I find all the ghosts REALLY annoying.. Maybe they could be there on some levels but NOT ALL of them.. they take away alot of the fun even tho I know you can use a shield etc. I also have little idea how I have got on to a new level as suddenly the levels stopped and I could not progress so I started again and I am now on a completely different set of levels. How did this happen?? what did I do?? Mmmmmm......
What a wonder these two Leaves games have been. I have SO SO enjoyed them. Completely different, puzzling, challenging and engaging. Please lets have Machinarium which I gather is similar. Brilliant brilliant..
This game is tedious. I bought it on a BOGOF deal and regret it as the continual back and forth to collect things - for which I need so much help as I cannot remember where I saw the items in the first place... - is so boring. The graphics are excellent as always from Eipix. The cast of characters, of which there are far too many, are ridiculous. Wizard of Oz and Ahab ?? blah blah I do not know why we are doing anything... I thought we were stopping a theft but suddenly we are fighting Nemo...who cares anyway.
My first thoughts, apart from loving everything MadHead do, was "Oh no... more monsters !! I do hate them. But then ***SPOILER ALERT*** they turn out not to be monsters and I let out a big sigh of relief. The game is great as always - and MH have always excelled at great voiceovers which makes the games so intriguing . Their HOPs are fantastic and each time they manage to make them a little more different from the last game. I like the morphs within too.
