What happened to the wonderful sable maze series? This is yet another pink fantasy land, with portals, cute helpers and candy colours!! SIGH SIGH. Although I am sure there are children who play these games, I am also sure that the majority of people who play are probably middle-aged and some of the developers are not quite sure who is their core market. Can we please just have a good story, like the wonderful Sullivan River and no more monsters and portals?? Sadly, I played only 10-15 mins of the demo and could go no further. With silly names like Wisteria and a young father with long grey hair and a mother who is suddenly an animal I could not believe in any of it. Disappointed that such a great series should have morphed into candy land.
Everything these developers do is brilliant and all the others pale by comparison. First of all, fantastic graphics as usual are very good, the story is good, voices and actors good, etc etc and although some of the games a simple they are done in such an engaging way that it is all fabulous!! the HOPs are interesting because you move things in order to find others. Secondly, there is masses to do. Good length of game, bonus chapter, collectibles and the new and fun dolls house with helpful items, extras galore. Thirdly, this is a wonderful addition to the Nevertales theme with lots of visits to childhood stories. BTW, I agree with another reviewer that am glad they have toned down the pinks.. Just brilliant. BUY BUY BUY
I cannot believe that this game comes from the same devs as the creators of Echoes of the Past. This is terrible with poor game play, graphics and storyline. I am not keen on "monster" games tho this would be forgiven if the gameplay had been any good. Definite no buy for me.
You've returned from school to visit your father at his famous Jazz Pepper Club during Mardi Gras, but everyone is hypnotized. Have they heard the wrong note?
This is an amazing game and not surprisingly with these developers who are just brilliant. Everything about this game is superb and I adore the music, game playing, mini-games, graphics... etc etc. I cannot recommend this enough. BUY BUY
This is the best game ever.! These devs are just brilliant. Everything about this game is superb. Games within games, wonderful story, lovely music, challenging and completely different. collectibles, mophs everything you would want in a game. I would give in 10 stars. Well done!! and I am not even a quarter of the way through.
This is an amazing story and alot of work has gone into it. Absolutely brilliant and absorbing, challenging, and they slowly reveal the story by little film clips. Excellent length, tho am only half way through - cant wait to continue. Definite buy - came out last year but only just released for Mac. Wonder how many others us Mac users have missed!!
I recommend this game!

Sable Maze: Norwich Caves Collector's Edition
Your students have gone missing during an expedition under the university. Can you track them down before the water rises?
I found this an excellent game, and reminiscent of Dire Grove which was brilliant. The mini games were good, storyline interesting, HOPAs were excellent in that you had to find things in order to do find something else etc, good length and the bonus was great too. What not to like? The map was not great tho interactive, music unobtrusive.
Am surprised by some of the lukewarm reviews. I really enjoy this game and love the mini games like the dolls house and tea party (not yet finished game). There is not enough variety in the music - I think only three or four tracks - and am now bored with them and will turn off. Hints are very quick and useful and I think the story line is good with 5 characters being redeemed back. Took me over an hour for the first part so I presume will be around 5 hours and then bonus to follow - so good length as well. Wish I had seen the 2 for 1 yesterday but missed it.. Bought it anyway.
I loved the previous Shiver games and was looking forward to this one and indeed bought the CE. However, I was never able to finish it despite reinstalling twice - when I had to put the kite on the tree it blanked three times. This may not be the devs fault but frankly, could not be bothered to continue. Something about too many tasks, too many tools to find, too many locations to backtrack in order to use tools, too many, too many. No map. Sorry, would like to be more positive and hope the next one will be as great as the first two.
this is one of the best games ever!! It is different, very classy, the graphics are great, VOs sparing but very well done. All the mini-games seem different to me and interesting, things to collect, brain engaged. The best game ever and even better than Drawn which is in a similar vein. I also thoroughly recommend getting the previous Rites of Passage The perfect show as it is also brilliant. Dont know how I missed that last year.!
