A great game along the lines of Claws & Feathers (though not quite as fun).
If you've played any of the C&F games and liked them, you'll like this one as well. It's challenging yet fun. There are special items you need to find in certain levels in order to get bonus powers for the in-level special tiles (bombs, etc).
If it weren't for the aged graphics and poor instructions (as far as secret levels go) I'd have given it five stars.
You have very limited power-ups and there is no relaxed mode.
Match3 games are not supposed to be stress inducing, which this one is. You are at the mercy of chance and a timer and it really ruins the fun and potential.
I suppose for those who like a challenging Match-3 that will require numerous tries to beat the later levels, this is there kind of game - but for me, challenge should be saved for TM/strategy games.
I am a huge fan of the previous Cadenza games. Though the first one was the best. Both previous ones have gotten great reviews and despite the lukewarm reviews of this installment I decided to give it a try and after the demo I thought it was worth buying. However, that was a mistake.
For one, the storyline is not as good as previous ones - but especially the bonus chapter. Not only is it entirely predictable, it is also short and cheesy.
Some of the mini-games were brilliant and some were just plain awful. The HOPs were standard, nothing new and very little variety (if any).
The trumpet lessons are horrible. Unless you have magicians hands, you're not likely to complete it, which renders the achievement section useless.
If you must, get the SE, but I wouldn't even recommend that.
This is one of those games where before you know it - the trial is up. That doesn't happen too too often with me, but on the occasions it does, it's an instant purchase.
To the game, graphics are great and you can choose different tilesets (there are quite a few to choose from).
I am a big fan of nonograms but this isn't your typical nonogram. Yes, the goal is the same - as with other nonograms. But this one differs in several areas from the typical nonogram.
Each level has several 'layers' based on the colors used to form the picture. You can alternate between colors at any point and this really adds to the gameplay and challenge.
There are achievements to earn and powerups you can upgrade.
Each level has three goals - no hints, less than one misclick, no misclicks etc. There is an expert mode as well, but I find the normal mode to be challenging enough.

This game is from the creators of "Runefall" which is another game like this. If you liked 'Runefall' you WILL like this one.
The game uses the same graphics and mechanics. There is a storyline, a movable map to explore and items to find and items to create to continue your journey.
There are two game modes. Relaxed and normal. You have a variety of 'avatars' to choose from and you get to choose a horse.
This is probably one of the worst TM games I've seen on BFG for a while. The graphics are just horrible. The gameplay is just as bad. You have to 'repeatedly' click on a task to 'speed it up' and yet still, the timer is not accurate. I couldn't get gold on the first try with the fourth level.
I loved the first three. Then with the last installment as well as this new one, the developer went the "CE" route. Ordinarily, that CAN be a good thing - IF - the developer knows what constitutes a CE (think 'Royal Envoys'). This game as with it's predecessor don't warrant a CE.
To me, there is really little difference between this game and it's previous installment. Same graphics, same gameplay, same puzzle pieces etc. Adding 10 levels to a 40 level game does not a CE make.

While it is great to finally see a Roads of Rome in widescreen, this game is rather a disappointment.
The graphics are cute and the levels have 'secrets' to discover (some more than others) though I could not find the second secret on the second level. While I like the fact that there are four modes, I'm not sure exactly how 'reliably' accurate the timers are given that you're also searching for the secrets.
What particularly annoyed me is that you can't queu taks. When you try to, you get this "no free workers" prompt. While you can 'cancel' tasks, what's the point if you can't queu them? I also am not a fan of the tutorial. You can't 'skip' it and it is a particularly annoying one, but perhaps it will be helpful to others not as familiar with TM games.
I'm also disappointed that their is not trophy/achievement section. But I guess that depends on your preference.
All in all, it's not a 'bad' game, it just doesn't offer anything compelling to warrant buying. While I am still on the fence about this one, IF I get it, it will be with a free game coupon nothing more.
The only thing I have to comment on that has not already been said in other reviews or the game description is this: Yes, there are two game modes. Timed and untimed. BUT, here's the great thing. IF, by chance, you get to a level (timed) that you cannot complete in gold time, you can go back to the main menu, select 'untimed' and redo the level and get the gold without having to start a new game. This works great for me. I wish more developers did it this way.

This game is by the same makers as 'Mosaics Galore', another patchwork game. If you liked that one, you'll like this one. It's Halloween themed, obviously, and very addictive.
You earn 'key's for completing goals in each level. These 'keys' are required to unlock future levels, so you'll want to collect as many as you can.
You can earn a total of 3 keys per level. One for completing in the time limit, one for making NO mistakes and another for completing the level. The least you can get from any level is one.
What makes this game great, as with it's sister (Mosaics Galore) is the replay ability. If you play the SAME level again, your puzzle will be the same, but the pieces/solution will be different. It's great for those who want to play over and over. It's not so much for those who want to repeat the exact same pattern.
